Our electric bill already shows a 25% decrease in energy used part of this last HOT month compared to a year ago - thanks to its ease of daily programming and air circulation mode. Now upstairs and downstairs systems work in harmony instead of against each other. The free website makes it a breeze to uniquely schedule one or several days and apply changes to the programming of each thermostat in the system. After studying the schematic, I found I had to put one of the spare wires in the bundle at each thermostat to work as a dedicated neutral. I then glanced at the Q&A posts to see some of the solutions offered. I guess I would expect someone who responds to a posted question to do so ONLY if they know the answer. There appear to be a number of inquiring people being misled by responders to questions regarding the wiring of these thermostats. Specifically some appear to be steered toward purchasing additional harnesses or modules they simply will not need. This particular model simply requires its own neutral wire to complete a 24V(AC) power circuit to energize all of its features (wi-fi transceiver, touch-screen, etc), and not just hope to get what it needs through the call-for-heat, cool, or circulation fan circuits found in most homes.

these require external power-which I don't have and I am not really interested in calling in an electrician to run these things-may have my HVAC people install them at some point, I am very handy-I am sure there was something mentioned about needing a full time power wire, but I either ignored it or knew it and forgot-will update if I get these installed, currently sitting on a shelf in shop-
