Great quality and tech support was wonderful. They answered all my questions and assisted me with installlation of 2nd sensor that registers moisture in crawl space under home. I Still have 6 other sensors I can add as needed. Registers rainfall and wind speed accurately
- Matthew2021-07-12NICE weather station
OK, LIKES: SIMPLE to set up, two pieces to put together, very simple up front instructions, Very plan and easy to understand. hardest part was deciding where to put it, then getting it together was simple. love it it links to the remote VERY quick. OK, weather underground is not the easiest to understand and navigate, BUT very doable so don't fret, had an issue with the log on to the WU, via Wifi, but instructions are there, if you have to JUST REMEMBER< CASE Sensitive is a MUST, JUST LIKE IT IS ONLINE! that was my Biggest mistake, got it on and works, FYI, FLHAVAN23 is my Station Id, at Wunderground.com> i'm able to see when it rains, and how much, over the hour and in a hour so I can tell if it is Raining lightly to VERY HEAVY. LOVE IT!!!! THANKS I message Wunderground ref problems seeing my station they sent response with about 24 hours +- few hours. GREAT help. THANKS to them.
- Boydster2021-09-18Effective and entertaining
I enjoy having my own personal weather station on my cocktail table in front of me. As with others, I've found the wind speed indicator almost useless, except in relative terms. I KNOW it when the wind is blowing 20-30mph, but the indicator is showing 12. I think the highest speed I've seen is 18? I've reset it to the maximum value, but to no avail. Also, it's green color is the hardest for me to see relative to its black background. I'm generally happy with my purchase.
- TBurris2024-03-01Excellent replacement for old system.
Our old system was failing. It was also at a 20 foot height. Have this installed at 6 feet high. Easy to access. Very pleased with install and the display unit.
- RICHARDSON2023-04-08Just ok, only a year and not accurate
So I have had this installed for about a year.. I bought this to replace an different brand that I accidentally broke the anemometer when moving.. So initially it seemed great, but now for the second time in the year I have had essentially the anemometer is very inaccurate and seems "stuck" or something even in high wind storms the wind meter only reads 1-2mph.. the temperature seems accurate with my other device, but the rain gauge also seems very inaccurate.. the latest storm we had this unit only shows 1.66" of rain when my other device is showing 2.89" and the 2.89" number is very much in line with actual storm totals.. it's always been quite a bit lower on rain totals than my other gauge and seems this unit is the one that is wrong all the time.. If I decide to get another PWS I will not get this brand again.. I don't mind have multiple but I want them all to be accurate... And over time this one seems to no be very accurate..

Yet another one of those will work for a short while electronics. The wind measurements stopped working after a few months. The temperature and rain measurements stopped working in 20 months. I’m thought it was a battery issue. Put new batteries and same. The only thing that works on it is the pressure sensor. Bought in august of 2022 and dead by march 2024
- Uncle Dave2021-02-01What's NOT in the instructions
I contacted the product support folks and they were very helpful, my unit would nor syc with the display unit, after following his instructions, it finally worked with no problems First, place the collection device that goes on your roof 5 inches from the display module, while the batteries are in place and the display is plugged in with the AC adapter - press the reset button on the data collection unit for around 4 seconds until it blinks regularly and then press the reset button the display. Following this procedure and you will see the display unit will be synced with the collection unit AND THEN put it up on the roof, or wherever you plan to put it. And leave the display plugged in. Also, even though the collection unit looks like it is arrow shaped and you THINK you know which way it should be pointed, note the N and molded arror on the top of the colection unit - the arrow shape of the collection unit DOES NOT point north, so when you align it to true north make sure you have it according to the mo;ded arrow on the collection unit Mine now works great ! I would have rated it 5 stars though I will update my review after we get some real weather. Update -3/25/2021- now that I have had it up and running for some time, it still works great. I never set it up as router available device or bothered to get my cellphone setup to the web link, I figure who needs to know the weather at my house-not even me.
- Randy Davis2022-01-14Works Great
Purchased this one after my old one of 7 yrs decided to retire itself. So far so good, have it connected to Weather Underground which was really easy. The only thing to remember is it does NOT come with an indoor temp that has to be purchased separately. I was fortunate to have a smart wifi temperature thermometer that it connected to. But overall it's great
- Kevin Speed Racer2024-06-14Wind Speed / Anemometer stopped spinning and now no outside temperature
A few weeks after I installed the weather station, I noticed that the anemometer or wind speed cups stopped spinning. My display kept telling me the wind was blowing only 1 or 2 mph even after a strong gust. Same problem as many others have noted, but I didn't know about those comments at the time because I didn't install it for months after purchase (well past the return window). So being slightly handy, I decided to try and fix the problem myself (I figured what the heck, I'll either fix it or destroy it - either way, I couldn't send it back). It was a pretty simple fix. I took the weather station apart by unscrewing a few screws and got to the underside of the anemometer. It was easy to see that the shaft was binding up because it was not sitting straight. I simply straightened the shaft (after some very gentle persuasion) and added a bit of grease and voila, it was working again. I've had it working now for over 2 years with no issues. However, recently, the outside temperature stopped working. I can see I have good battery life, per the display reading, but no temp or humidity. I don't think this issue is something I can fix by disassembly. I can't comment on the accuracy of the wind speed or rain gauge, but it's all relative anyway as I simply use these features to get a sense for how windy it is or how much rain has fallen compared to other days. I gave it one star because of the initial anemometer problem and for the temp/humidity failure. I would hope that something at this price point would last more than 2 years.
- Dave Henderson2024-04-02Inaccurate wind speed
Easy setup, but wind speed indicator does not report accurate wind speed. When we have 20+ mph winds in the area, wind speed on display shows wind speed as 2-7 mph, gust 10 mph. Everything else appears to provide accurate readings. I would return it if I could and purchase a different brand.
