- C. Pilot2021-04-21Nice Dual Purpose Floor Cleaner for the Price, But Very Poor Smart Home Implementation
This is a very nice dual purpose robot floor cleaner, especially for the price, but don't expect perfection and the smart integration is just terrible. WHAT I LIKED: First of all, just being honest, the main reason I even considered the Coredy R750 is because of the $100 (1/3 off the price!) coupon. I do loved a good deal! Although the discounted price got my initial attention, the features/specs of the product kept me interested and resulted in the purchase. I really like that it mops and vacs. My house is like 70% tile (main living area) and 30% hardwood (bedrooms), so there is very little carpet (other than a few rugs) to capture, hold, and hide dirt, dust, etc. To be clear, unlike my Bissell Symphony Steam Mop/Vacuum which actually does both at the same time, with the Coredy R750 you have choose whether you're mopping or vacuuming. When in mop mode it does do a little bit of "vacuuming", but it's actually sweeping using the dual spinning side brushes to sweep some debris in a compartment of the mopping reservoir. The microfiber mopping pads do a pretty good job of picking up and holding small debris, dust, etc., while mopping. I haven't used it extensively yet, but the mopping feature so far has controlled the water very well, and I haven't had any spills, puddles, or drips -- just nice evenly wet, clean floors. A caveat to this mopping function is the random navigation method of this robot. Most dedicated robot mops do a precise pattern to make sure that everything is evenly cleaned. This robot uses the same random navigation pattern for mopping that it does for vacuuming, so I am a little worried about how through the mopping function will work when I have this R750 mop a large area of the house. I like the suction power as well as the longer life battery. This is much more powerful and longer lasting than my previous robot vacs (BobSweep and an early Roomba). It's also much quieter (and I've only been using it on the normal, automatic settings) and much shorter so it gets under areas that my previous robot vacs could not. This vac is powerful, but it's not a brute bull in a china shop. Previous robot vacs would literally bang into everything, be it a large wall or small chair leg. The R750 (for the most part) senses obstacles before it hits them, so the front bumper is more of a secondary rather than primary sensor. It's nice not to have a robot vac banging and bumping around so much. The Google Home integration is very nice and I'm glad to see more appliances like this finally being "smart". I actually renamed the R750 to "Consuelo's Maid" (with Consuelo being my wife's name), so that every time I ask Google to "Clean the floors" Google says, "Okay, Consuelo's Maid is now cleaning the floors." Unfortunately, the Google Home (and apparently Amazon Alexa as well) integration is really kludgy at best and very difficult to add to an existing smart home. The wifi setup is ridiculously difficult as well -- more on both of those later. The dual spinning side brushes are also a huge plus to the R750. Every other robot vac I've owned (or even seen) seems to only have one spinning brush on one side of the vac. That greatly limits how effectively the vac can clean baseboards, get under low edges, etc. With the two spinning brushes on the R750, this vac isn't as limited as most when it comes to edge cleaning. It's just a much better design. WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: Although somewhat trivial, I do not like the finish of the R750. It's very dark/glossy, making it a fingerprint/dust magnet. Fingerprints/smudges are visible anywhere you touch it, and just using the vac causes dust to cling to its surface. It's a vac -- Coredy really should've thought of this. The main roller on this vac is VERY small, literally half the size of every other robot vac I've owned. Although I listed the dual spinning brushes as something I like, they're actually a requirement more than a feature because without the cleaning swath of this vac would be about 6". The dual spinning brushes doubles the size of the cleaning swath, but I think it would be better to have these dual spinning brushes as well as a much wider main roller. Both the wifi and smart home (Google/Alexa) setup for this vac is HORRIBLE. First of all, it's 2021 -- no one has only a 2.4ghz wifi network in the home. Instead we all have a combination 5ghz and 2.4ghz, and all of these wifi AP's and routers default to both frequencies having the same name/password so there's no way to tell you phone to just connect to the 2.4ghz frequency, which this robot requires. So you have to give the two frequencies two separate names. I have six routers/AP's in my house, so to do this I would literally have to separate the frequency names on all six routers. So, what I did was just change the name of the 2.4ghz frequency on one of my routers, so I could make my phone connect to that therefore connect the R750 to wifi. This did work and allowed me to put the R750 on wifi, but then when I changed the name of the 2.4ghz frequency back to the normal, the R750 lost it's connection. Oops. Didn't think of that. However, just changing the name of the 5ghz frequency on one router won't work (because my phone would just connect to 5ghz on one of the other routers), so I would have to change it on all six routers. Most of the smart items in my house are connected to 5ghz, so changing the name of the 5ghz frequency on all six of my routers would disconnect all these smart things, not to mention all the PCs in the house and I have kids doing online school and a wife doing online work. So, what I ended up doing was grabbing the R750 and my phone, going into the furthest corner of my back yard, and then my phone finally switched to the 2.4ghz signal so I could finally setup the R750 on wifi. It wasn't that easy, though -- I had to try four times before it finally worked. So I finally had the R750 on wifi in the Coredy app. Time to set it up in Google Home. More major issues! Google Home knows nothing about the Coredy app. Then I read in a FAQ that I actually have to add the Smart Life app rather than Coredy. No problem, since I already have over a dozen smart things in my house, I already have the SmartLife app on my phone and connected to Google Home, so I'm sure the R750 is already in SmartLife, right? Wrong. I have to add the R750 to the Smart Life app. So, I try to do that, but quickly discover that means starting at square one with adding the R750 to the 2.4ghz network again. Back out to the corner of the back yard I go with my phone and the R750. Again, it took 3 times to connect it but it finally worked. Sure enough, when I went into the Google Home app, there was the R750 because I already had SmartLife added to Google Home. Tested a few commands with Google Home and everything worked. Went back into the Coredy app to check some settings and ...wait... there's no R750 in the Coredy app anymore. Yep, adding it to the SmartLife app removed it from the Coredy app, even though supposedly the Coredy app and the SmartLife app are one and the same thing. So in the end I have to choose between having the R750 available to Google Home or having it available in the Coredy app. Since most of the functions (maybe all?) are available in the SmartLife/Google Home apps, I guess I'll leave it there. This is such an utter fiasco that it almost ruined my whole experience with this product. If this is the only SmartLife based smart device in your house, you may not have these issues. However, if you're like me and already have numerous SmartLife based devices, you'll likely encountering the same frustrating fiasco. EDIT: Confirmed through Coredy support that once you add the R750 to the Coredy app, if you want it to also be in the SmartLife app (and therefore show up in Google Home), you have to sign in to SmartLife with your Coredy app id/password. However, if I do that, I will lose the dozen or so other smart devices that I already have configured in the SmartLife app. This is a really poor design by Coredy and a ridiculous non-solution to expect from their customers. SUMMARY: Overall, this is a very good robot vacuum. I would've given it just 3 stars (due to the wifi/smart setup), but even given the ridiculously fiasco of the "smart" feature setup, I would still have to give this vac 4/5 stars because the basic non-smart features overcome the fiasco of the smart features. I would definitely recommend it, especially for the price with the $100 coupon. EDIT: Given the above botched design with the connection between the Coredy and SmartLife app, I had to lower my rating to 3 stars. I still feel that for what it does, the features it offers, and the currently heavily reduced price, it's a pretty good deal. However, the combination of annoyances with the wifi setup and the Coredy/SmartLife/Google Home conflicts almost negates everything good about this vacuum. If smart home connectivity is important to you, I would probably recommend going with another brand/model.

hello! i love this vacuum, but there are a few things id like to mention! vacuuming: works well!.. despite seeming like an aimless little robot because he does not have any kind of mapping technology, he does not register black items on the floor and will ram himself into them like its his job, he does well on carpets but take will take my smaller rugs on a tour of the apartment with him, and my cat and him are NOT friends. he seems to find her and she seems to find him and they are at a constant battle of who owns the apartment (i realize this is in no way, a testament to how well the vacuum works, just thought id add)! however, one of the best features that i do use and have come to love is the “spot clean” setting…you see, i spill and drop everything and this lil guy makes cleaning up look easy, from an entire pot of dirt, to all of the trash my boyfriend drops while cooking, to the insane amount of hair my boyfriend, myself, my cat and my dog all seem to shed! it is a hard working little guy…as embarrassingly displayed in the first picture. mopping: girl no. jk, mopping: so im pretty sure i have to be doing this horrifically wrong because when i get everything set up our lil gal doesnt do a thing but leave a little, tiny, itty bitty streak of water on the floor behind it. literally im not joking, it is so small that the water is dried up in a matter of seconds. quite a feat tbh to be so terrible at something engrained in your…DNA? anyway, if you seriously drench her in something that smells good you can let her bop around some wet smelly-good water and she will help with the smell…? so yeah not amazing, but this is my first lil vacuum robot and im cheap so…you do what you can these days. cleaning: as you can tell from the pictures i desperately needed to clean the vacuum a few months into having it. (this is not a high tech, super detailed review because i am lazy and…well thats all i got). so after way too long of struggling to get the hair out of our lil spinny brush, i realized the little blue tool was for this. in the second pic i pointed at the lil bit that the blue tool will go into to help remove the hair/string/etc. i hope im making sense, but the blue tool has a pick looking thing with a blade on it - this is what you will place in the little divot on the spinny brush that im pointing at. remember that if your spinny brush looked ANYTHING like mine, you will not see this divot for the pick to go into so, i guess youll have to do some digging like me, but its pushed up against the bristles so just shoot your shot anywhere you see bristles. after that i literally just filled up a bowl with soap and soaked all the detachable parts (the dust collector/filter/attachments/brushes/etc) its not grimey, just dusty and really easy to clean! i popped it all back in after drying and look at that, one adult task done all in a bowl, thats my kind of adulting! anyway, we still dont have a name for him/her/them so at this point we may just call it a different name every time, who really cares anyway, have fun! also, i only used alexa for this once because i can literally never remember the codeword she likes, but it does work and i was in awe about it for like an hour. and lastly, shes got a really cool remote (and app) that you can use to direct the lil circular sucker (the vacuum) in any direction you want like a toy car - i use this to follow/chase/terrorize my cat around the house so she is, im sure, constantly grateful for this feature as well! keeps her on her toes! thanks for listening!
- Eric Theodoridis2019-12-04Great Robo Vac for the price!
This is my second robo-vac purchase. My first one was a Deebot, which I thought was pretty good for the $200 I spent on it (it was a Black Friday Deal last year). Well after a few months of running it every single day, I have a lab retriever in the house so lots of shedding, it started to act up. One of the driving wheels would occasionally get "stuck" and it would stop running, I would have to stop what I was doing and go manually reset it! This got old quick! Also the suction power dramatically reduced for no apparent reason. So for the last few months I've been wanting to purchase a new one, but didn't want another Deebot (I wont go into much more about that since this is about the Coredy). There were a few things in particular that I was looking for in the new vac-bot. 1. I liked the dual sweeping side brushes that the Deebot had, the Coredy has this. 2. I wanted something that solely vacuumed, not vac/mop which the Deebot did, It allows for a larger dust bin/vac motor. 3. I wanted something with more suction power, the Deebot was good but in the words of Tim The Tool man Taylor "MORE POWER!" 4. In addition to more power I wanted it to make less noise (hard trade off, but this bot does it!) 5. In case there are any issues that can't be fixed by me, I wanted an actual customer service number that I could call with an actual human being, with actual knowledge about the product to help me, did not get that with Deebot. 6. I did NOT want a Roomba! (Too pricey for what it is) So with those few things in mind I started to search Amazon to see what I could find. After about 4 or 5 different products and their reviews I came across the Coredy. It had some of the highest reviews, and it met all 6 of my wants, well the customer service part has yet to been used, so may have to revisit that one! But overall I highly recommend this product. 1. The dual sweeping side brushes work great for cleaning a wider area & it comes with an extra set. 2. The larger dust bin allows for a larger collection and run time between it being emptied. 3. The suction power is fantastic, it has 3 modes; low which is 600Pa, "smart mode", where it's suction power is on low and if it runs onto carpet and needs more power it will automatically boost itself up to 1000Pa, and high which is 1600Pa. 4. It is significantly quieter than my Deebot was, even on high suction mode Coredy is no louder than a box fan on medium speed. The low speed function is amazingly quiet. 5. Again haven't had any issues yet, but when/if I do I will report back about the customer service. 6. It's NOT a Roomba! My in-laws have one, it has one sweeping brush and a fraction of the suction power and collection capacity of the Coredy. Also they paid over $300 for theirs from Costco, the only benefit they have over mine is that they can take it back whenever, for whatever reason they want, got to love Costco! 7. One more added benefit to this unit, is that it has a one year limited warranty against any kind of defects that are not your fault. Which if you using this thing like you should be, you should have any issues. But after my previous bot had the random stuck wheel and loss of suction, I like that added benefit of a manufacture warranty. Which I didn't know about at the time of purchase, so win on that! In the box you get the vacuum, the charging station, a remote, an extra filter and set of side brushes, & instructions (obviously). Also there is an app you can download that shows you all of the info about the bot; battery life, suction power setting, what mode its in, a find my bot function that locates it when it gets lost, the ability to set cleaning schedules, run time and the accessories lifetime left (the side brushes and filter life). So far it has been worth the money spent, and its about $70 cheaper than the Costco Roomba! If your looking for a great product that gives you awesome results and you don't want to spend a fortune, look no further than Cordey!

Additional update: was promptly contacted by the companies tech support and they got me connected to the app fairly quickly. I still feel like the process could be more simple/user friendly. But it works great so I’ve upped this to 5 stars. Update: still unable to connect my robot to my wifi (yes I’ve done everything suggested this isn’t my first rodeo). However I have contacted Amazon tech support, and have been forwarded to coredy customer service to see what else can be done. I will say it was a pleasant experience dealing with Amazon’s tech support (I wasn’t treated like an imbecile who doesn’t know what reboot/reset/5G etc. means lol). So despite still not being able to use the app, I’m still pleased with the device and support thus far. We shall see. Lol. I’ve had my eye on a robot vacuum for awhile and was hesitant to spend a fortune on one without knowing if it would benefit us enough to warrant the cost. So I saw this deal during prime days and decided to go for it. Understanding this is a lower end model, don’t expect it to be the smartest robot vacuum there is, however it’s silly antics are amusing enough that I don’t mind having to search for it to get it unstuck or help it to the docking station when it inevitably gets lost or physically assaults its docking station without managing to connect properly. It works quite well despite all of those things, and it comes with a lot of accessories that are quite handy. The stop strip works well as I’ve only had to use in in front of the slider to our Florida room as it can go over the ledge but then gets stuck. It came with a handy tool to help clean the brush roll, as well as 2 rolls of stop strip, it came with an extra filter which is super handy for when you rinse out one and have to wait for it to dry. It also has the mopping function which I tried once and realized I would have to form barriers to keep it from the carpet. So I’m unsure about it’s effectiveness. But it came with an extra microfiber cloth for that. And it came with a little brush I’m guessing to help clean out crevices. And 2 extra little sweeping brushes that click on the front to help pull debris into it especially around the edges of your home obviously since the unit is round it would struggle to get around walls on its own. My only real issue so far, is I cannot get it to connect to the app. I am not technologically deficient and have connect many smart items to my wifi with no issues. I’ve tried every way I can think of. And this is a major issue if I don’t figure it out as there are many features I can’t access without the app unfortunately. But having the remote is super handy in the mean time. Over all def a good starter robot vacuum for the price. For reference we have 2 dogs, one of which is an incredibly heavy shedder. The main part of our home is primarily tile with the bedrooms having carpet. And several areas rugs which this thing glides over with ease. It will pull any loose cords it rolls over. Upside is it doesn’t suck them up but it will pull whatever they’re attached to down.
- Roseinconcrete2020-08-24I loved this vacuum...until two weeks later it’s dead...
UPDATE: As you can see I had left a glowing review of this robot vacuum. Unfortunately, I spoke up wayyyy too soon I was extremely happy with this vacuum until a couple of weeks later when I started having issues with it. First, in mopping mode, it started going in circles backwards. Called customer service and, although difficult to understand the agent, he was able to give me some steps to get it back going. Fast forward a couple of days... Vacuum (in vacuum mode) is now going backwards and then stops and gives a flashing red with three beeps. The phone customer service only handles the most basic advice and if it doesn’t work you have to continue via email only. You have to send in videos via email. (Also please note that their is NO link to their customer service through Amazon. You click the button and they tell you to call their customer service number.). So... via email you have to send in videos of the issues and... wait. More basic trouble shooting steps are given along with you needing to send in more videos then...wait. They then sent me a number of steps and videos of trouble shooting steps to do which is basically unscrew the battery, take it out for an hour, unscrew the bumper and pull ou away to look for debris (and on and on) then send another video in. After doing this lengthy process and sending in a video again of it not working, I was sent a firm to fill out of another set of purchasing information and tjj ok d someone would be getting back to me and to be patient. I emailed again after ~ 27 hours to get an update on when I would be hearing back. I was told that it could take 24-36 hours and that my request was only forwarded a few hours ago. I guess he couldn’t read the time stamp that clearly showed it had been over 24 hours since I had emailed him! I told the rep that and...nothing. It has been over 36 hours and nothing. I also purchased the extended warranty and that doesn’t kick in until your one year manufacturers warranty is up. So, basically, I’m stuck with a non-working robot vacuum and dismal customer support. DO NOT BUY THIS VACUUM! If you have any issues with it you will regret it. Amazon is not doing anything either. This will be my last high ticket item through a third party seller. No way! So far, so good! This is my first robot vacuum but I LOVE it. My sister had been trying to tell me to get one for a couple of years and I hemmed and hawed but being home more due to the Covid-19 pandemic has of course led to floods being dirty more often and I also like them to be sanitized. She told me one of these would change my life and she is right! You’d be surprised how much dust and debris is in your hardwood floors! I let Mr, Robee run once a day and my time cleaning is drastically reduced. I love the side bristles they really help clean the edges of furniture and walls. Hold a lot of dirt. I’m thrilled that it glides in and out under my furniture and rarely gets stuck. Mop feature...hmm. I mean it gets to all areas but I would say gone your floors a thorough mopping and shine first and use for upkeep. It’s just a pad ( I add a little bleach to the water container) and us better suited to maintenance, in my opinion but I’m glad I have it. Dustbin and Water Reservoir are easy to swap out. Overall, I’m thrilled! I also bought the extended warranty because I like I having that added security if something does go wrong. I got it about 60 to 80 off and I believe it is well worth that price. Give it a try!
- Amazon Customer2022-12-21It Does The Cleaning So I Don't Have To!
I had owned an early version of a Roomba and, after using that a couple of times, it basically sat unused for years and really turned me off of robot vaccum's. It just didn't do a good job with the way it bounced off walls and obstacles like a pinball machine. Plus, I've owned Golden Retrievers that shed enough hair every day to be able to knit a whole other dog and the Roomba was constantly getting clogged with dog hair and had to be "worked on" multiple times each time I cleaned the house. So, I used a Dyson Pet Vaccum, which does a fantastic job as long as I'm the one pushing it around the floor. When I saw a deal on the Coredy R750, about a year ago, I decided to give Robot vacuums another try and I really do love the R750. While I'm sure there are better robot vacuums available, I'm not sure there are better robot vacs for the same low cost as the Coredy. I have all hardwood floors with some tile and the vacuum does a fantastic job of really getting all the pet hair and other debris off the floor. It finds its way into places normal vacuums can't go, It crawls under the beds, dressers, night tables, etc. that have only a few inches of head clearance and the intelligence is good enough that it can also find it's way back out, even if the only entrance/exit is just a little bigger than the robot. I also like the way it follows the baseboards to get the entire floor clean right up to the edges. I absolutely love being able to be working from my home office, pick up the cell phone, and start a cleaning cycle so it's vacuuming the house while I'm working. The whole reason I purchased the robot was to save my personal time and that it does! When the cleaning is over, the robot just returns to it's docking station to re-charge and I empty the bin and remove any pet hair caught in the brushes when I get a chance so it's ready for the next cycle. Also, I just installed a new Wi-Fi router and had problems getting the robot working again on the new network. So, I called Coredy and they immediately answered the phone and David, who was the person answering the call, was able to walk me through getting it working again in a matter of a few minutes (Dave needs to get a promotion!). The only caution I would give is to be aware that this is a robot and does require some more maintenance than just emptying the collection bin, especially if you have long-haired pets. There's nothing real technical involved, but you need to be prepared to empty the bin more often than a standard vacuum (due to its smaller size), and clean the roller brush and side brushes regularly to ensure good performance. Also, don't expect the mopping function to replace a mop. The mop is the equivalent of dragging a wet sponge across the floor. This works fine if the floor is already fairly clean but, with a dirty floor, it will just end up streaking. That said, you can still get a dirty floor clean, it will just require multiple cycles of mopping to really do the job. I hope this helps!
- S. Shaver2020-08-01Great budget combo robot!
First off, I would like to start out by clarifying a couple of things that were a bit confusing for me as I was trying to research this little guy. I noticed that depending on where you look, you can find different suction specifications for this robot. Even on Coredy’s website, all of the pictures state 1600Pa suction, but then in the description it says 2000Pa strong suction. So, I called Coredy to see what the actual spec was. Here is what they told me... All R750’s manufactured after March 2020 are an upgraded version of the robot with 2000Pa of suction and a 3200mAh battery (an upgrade from the previous 2600mAh battery). Also, the “virtual boundary” in the description, I feel, is a bit misleading. The definition of virtual is “not physically existing as such but made by software to appear to do so” or “carried out, accessed, or stored by means of a computer, especially over a network”. However, these “virtual” boundaries are the actual physical, magnetic strips that are provided in the box, NOT at all controlled by anything inside the app. But, at this price point, I guess that can’t really be expected, but I wish this would have been a little less misleading. Overall, I am very pleased with this robot! I got this as an upgrade to our Roomba 618 for the added features of the mopping function and the ability to schedule/control it via the app from anywhere, provided internet connectivity. I would say that the R750 is as good, if not better than the Roomba 618 at vacuuming. Although the R750 is significantly quieter, even on max suction! (The attached dust bin picture is only after a few minutes or random navigation and a run of edge mode. Keep in mind that my wife had manually vacuumed just a few days prior). The only two things I would slightly give the nod to the Roomba about would be that it does seem to find its dock a bit better than R750, and it has a handle on top to move it around that the R750 does not. Otherwise, I do think that the R750 matches or beats the Roomba 618 in all other aspects, especially in object detection. The Roomba 618 will just ram into things until its bumper sensors are activated, so much so that I put a foam strip on the bottom of it the help save it from scuffing up the furniture. The R750 on the other hand seems to notice obstacles about 2 inches out, will slow down and totally avoid it, or just barely bump into it. Also, the edge cleaning feature is great, and is completely lacking on the Roomba 618. The mopping function is great! I especially like the fact that you are able to control the amount of water that it delivers using an electronic air pump to push the water out. Also, since the water holes aren’t that small and the liquid never goes through the pump, I’ve been using floor cleaner in it as well, and this really does a great job for a combo robot. The only thing I was slightly disappointed about, but not a deal breaker by any means, is that, even on low, the amount of water coming out is just a bit too much to use on the hardwood floors. But, it’s great for tile! Also of note, as you can see in the picture, the mopping attachment still has a bit of a dust bin, and it appears that the main brush may be rolling as it mops, as it still picks up some larger debris while mopping. But, the suction motor is clearly off, as it is significantly quieter while mopping than vacuuming. The app is completely sufficient as well. It allows you to control it, just like the included remote control, along with the added benefits of setting up custom schedules and controlling the robot away from home. Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase! And I am not really missing any of the luxury features of other robots that are twice the price of this, or more! Thanks Coredy!
- SJR2022-02-23I'm sold (Months later UPDATED)
(UPDATES) I'll give you the pros and cons, but I'll start with the summary...I'm giving it 5 stars! I'm sold. Read on if you want to know why some stars might be deducted. I would say my family is neat and clean but we don't vacuum and dust weekly like we should. When I saw this little vacuum go on sale I bought it on an impulse. I am not sad about it either. I have not used the mop feature yet but will try to update this review once I do. As for "Deep Cleaning", I don't think that is what this machine is for. "Suction Power"... I'm impressed. CONS: 1. I cannot use the app because my WiFi is too new for it. Don't really care though. Get the newer model if that bothers you. I put it in a room and shut the door. It does the job. 2. It rattles / vibrates and makes noise sometimes. I shut the door to the room it's working in so it doesn't bother me. (IT DOESN'T REALLY RATTLE MUCH... I MIGHT BE SO USED TO IT NOW I DON'T EVEN NOTICE IT AND I'M TYPICALLY BOTHERED BY NOISES) 3. I am not sure but I think it's battery life only lasts for one room... (UPDATE - IT CLEANS AROUND 3 ROOMS AT 30 MINUTES EACH) it doesn't seem to have a super long battery life... (read number 4. below.) We have a big house though so I have a schedule to do 2 (3) rooms a day. One in the morning, and one in the afternoon after it's recharged. (UPDATE - 3 ROOMS IN THE MORNING AND THEN CHARGE THE REST OF THE DAY) 4. The directions/indicator light key is a little confusing. There is the power button which is shown on the diagram as the "Indicator Light" and it has a light that can change colors. It doesn't seem to have the colors that are described in the instruction book. There is another little light above the power button that can flash or stay on. The "light" key in the book doesn't mention it. So I don't really know what the lights mean. The indicator light key mentions "beeps" that sound with the type of light that is flashing or steady but if you miss the "beep" you may not know what the light means. This is probably why I don't know if the vacuum needs recharged or not. It would probably help if I studied the book a little more. I was too excited to get it working that I stopped trying to figure it out. At this time, I don't care... I have a schedule and it seems to work. (YEAH, NEVER READ THE BOOK... BUT I STILL LOVE THE LITTLE GUY. WE NAMED HIM "DUSTY") PROS: 1. It works. I cannot believe how much dust and hair it picks up. We have concrete floors with area rugs. Most of our rugs are low-pile loop but some rugs are a higher cut-pile and this little machine works on that carpet too. I watched it work its way over the edges without a problem from one rug to another. It is pretty robust. 2. It works so well that I have to clean out the little tray after each room. 3. It has a very low profile. I don't know about other robot vacuums but this one is pretty low making it easy to get underneath dressers, beds, couches, tables, etc. (THINK ABOUT THE YEARS YOU NEVER VACUUM UNDER THE BED, CABINETS OR COUCHES) 4. It picks up those little no-see spiders... the ones that are about the size of a quarter but you can't really see them and they live in the corners of a room. 5. I can work at my job or type this review while it's working at picking up dust. I'm feeling a bit spoiled. I will probably buy an upgraded one in the future and this one can work in the basement. I usually don't write long glowing reviews but I'm so happy my house is being cleaned I had to write one. (I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY PARENTS RECENTLY... I HAVEN'T UPGRADED.) 6. It has really good sensors and knows to turn around before bumping into the wall if something is right in front of it. But sometimes it hits things. Not hard though. For me, for the price, this machine is awesome. I'm very happy with it and my floors are now cleaner overall. I haven't had it very long so I cannot tell you how long it will last. (DUSTY IS STILL GOING STRONG) All I need now is a machine that dusts my house.
- Just Mike's Opinion2019-09-03Cleans excellent! Great on dog/human hair! Glides over Oriental Rug Fringe w/o jamming
This is the second Coredy Robot Cleaner I've purchased. Also bought an R650. I was so impressed with the first one, that after reading about this newer model, I decided to try one of these for my other home with a few pets. First, I'm not a stranger to Robot Cleaners - been using several different models (bobSweep Pro and iRobot Roomba) for more than five years now. I ordered this product (R700) for our home with hardwood floors and several rugs [short shag, runners, inch high kitchen, and several oriental rugs] The R700 arrived the day after purchasing - via Amazon Prime. Package was well constructed. Main box was in Amazon shipping box. [Pics included with this review.] Unlike the other model (R650) this one (R700) has Wifi for Alexa control AND an Android app so that I can use my Galaxy Note8+ to control the robot. ---- PROS: (1) Does great job on all hardwood floors and moves from hardwood to my oriental rugs easily. [Video included showing moving from/to rug/hardwood floor]. (2) Moves right over the oriental 4 inch rug fringes without jamming or getting caught in the Robot Cleaner. MY OTHER Robot cleaners will pull the fringe into the beater bar and jam. This requires manually removing the fringe from the cleaner with out damaging the fringe. (3) Has TWO (2) side brushes (right and left) versus one side brush on my other cleaners [bobSweep Pro and iRobot Roomba]. (4) Has more power than the other brands I own, runs longer when cleaning than my other models. Also, the power increases as it goes from hardwood to carpet - pulling more dust/dirt into the dust bin. (5) Has a smaller height footprint (approximately 2.6 inches) vs. my other cleaners (3.1 inches and 3.6 inches). The smaller height allows it to go under many pieces of furniture that the others cannot. (6) Easy open dust bin for quick emptying and cleaning. Also easy to remove/ return from/to unit. Bottom has a small wheel for easy gliding back in. (7) Seperate access to HEPA filter inside one side of the dust bin. Makes it easy to clean or replace. (8) Troubleshooting guide on bottom of dust bin for primary codes ... no need to search out the User's Manual to see. (9) Easy to install edge brushes that just snap on; rather than screw on brushes for my other cleaners. (10) Quiet, about same as my bObSweep (perhaps a bit quieter); much quieter than my iRobot. (11) Has WiFi built in and an Android app (Coredy Robot app) that lets you use your phone in lieu of remote to control the R700. (12) Both the Coredy Robot APP and Amazon Alexa APP connected to the Coredy Robot APP were both easy to setup. The Coredy Robot APP needs to be downloaded and setup first. Easy to do - download, run, set up a user account, create a family (smart life), add your new R700 device, the finally connect to wifi. CONS: (1) The dust bin is a bit smaller; but sufficient size for the job. Needs to be cleaned after every use. (2) The Coredy Robot App ONLY works with wifi 2.4 GHz wifi. If you have a newer 5 Ghz, the program will not work with it. For some, if you have a dual wifi, you may experience problems with the dual router. I'm using a dual router with no problems - but you may. (3) The Alexa App NEEDS LOTS of WORK. Currently only seems to allow two commands - "Alexa, turn on Robot" - responds back "Did you mean the Coredy R700"; you respond "YES" and it starts the Robot in AUTO mode. The other command it recognizes is "Alexa, turn off Robot" - responding the same way, "Did you mean the Coredy R700"; you respond "YES" and it puts the Robot in pause mode. There is no documentation online; that I found to help me with using Alexa and the Coredy Robot R700. I couldn't find any other commands that work - like "Alexa, [send] go home Robot" (not supported on this device) or "Alexa, edge clean Robot" (not supported - puts on shopping list) or "Alexa, spot clean Robot" (get history of Robots) or "Alexa, clean small room Robot" (Same History of money spent on Robots). OBSERVATIONS: (1) The brush is a bit narrower (width), as is the vacuum opening - vs. other brands I own (bObSweep and iRobot) However, has proven to be better at picking up dust/dirt and pulls more into dust bin from the carpet/floor. INCLUDED with this review: A short video with several areas covered - (1) moving from rug to hardwood and back, (2) moving over oriental rug fringe, (3) moving over 1 inch high kitchen carpet, (4) moving to steps edge and avoidance, (5) cleaning around / under low height table, and (6) returning to base unit. Also included are several photos of how the unit arrived, putting it together, the three manuals that accompany it, the dust bin and location on unit, the docking station and how to hide the excess wire, and the unit on and ready to work (showing blue light). ---- About the product Once you open the top of the box, you will see full length cardboard atop of the contents of the box. It has a "QUICK START GUIDE" printed on it; with (5) clear steps and contact information for customer service. (A nice touch). Package contained Three small booklets; owner's Manual (Cordey R7000), Coredy R700 limited warranty booklet and a Coredy Robot Cleaner App install guide. Also in the package are the the robot cleaner and charging dock, edge brushes to install on cleaner, clean tool for removing hair on brush, remote control with (2) AAA batteries for remote control, (2) magnetic boundary strips, (4) 3M three-strip electronic clean pads and a thin cloth wire tie-up. Note: there are two extra edge brushes and an extra HEPA filter pack for collection bin. (extra main parts) Unlike many other reviewers, the first thing I did was take the five to six minutes to read the Owner's Manual (31 pages) with lots of graphics and how to (app, Alexa, set modes, etc.) Placed brushes on the bottom of each side of the robot - just snap in place [picture included]. Opened and checked the dust bin and filter compartment [picture included]. Placed wire in docking station [picture included]. Then plugged the docking station into the wall and placed on the hardwood floor, as directed in the manual. Turned on the main switch on the bottom of the Robot cleaner and turned it on using the remote. [picture included]. Then directed it to go home (to charge). It went to the charging dock, mounted, beeped and began flashing orange (charging). Finally, using the remote (close to cleaner), set the time on the remote. Then placed the remote in the holding slot of the docking station. It took about 2 hours to fully charge. The remote is easy to use with a daily timer that can be set and several cleaning modes. If you have loaded the Coredy Robot App on your phone it is easy to setup via the app. [pictures included setting up the app] The actual robot has several modes: (1) AUTO which uses a with back-forth (perhaps zig-zag) then a random pattern and finally does edges. (2) SPOT cleans a localized area, making tight spirals outward for about 3 ft then inward back to where it started. (3) EDGE cleans along the walls and around furniture legs. (4) SINGLE [Small] ROOM clean; works for about 30 minutes and then returns to base. I set the unit on AUTO and let it clean my hardwood floors in living room, kitchen, dining room, AS WELL as the halls to front door & garage door. It took a little over an hour and half for all rooms and then the unit returned to it's home base to recharge. It found the charing base easily, mounting and started charging immediately. I emptied the dust bin and was surprised with how much dirt, dog hair and lint it picked up. I had cleaned the day before and was surprised it was full. I examined the brush and didn't find any hair wrapped around it. It was easy to empty the bin and check the HEPA filter - still clean. I used the scheduling button to have the cleaner automatically run at 7:00 am the next morning. I ran and returned to the home base automatically. I did this for two days; working flawlessly. I also directed the Robot to clean the third day, via Alexa and it again worked flawlessly - returning the the charging base upon completion. OVERALL, the Corey R700 Robot Vacuum Cleaner worked great and I am happy with this purchase. The fact that I can use my phone to control it was very nice. The Alexa app could use some more umph (power) to it, to control the Robot with more voice commands (left, right, forward, backward, edge clean, return to base, and so on.) I would highly recommend this unit compared to my other robot cleaner - for the price and its powerful suction ability and cleaning. If you don't need the functionality of the Wifi (app and Alexa) the Coredy R650 might be a better fit. But the fact that the Coredy R700 cleaned the Oriental Carpet and did not pull the fringe into the Robot (vs the R650 which did), it is well worth the extra cost for the upgraded R700.
- Ms Bailey2024-06-24GET IT!
This Robot Vacuum is amazing. We start him with the auto button on the remote every morning emptying the lint from the day before. He does his thing all over the house and then takes himself home! He's amazing! Although, we start him every day, every day when I empty the lint reservoir, it has lint/dust and we do NOT have dogs with fur. How is that possible? He gets in places that are hard to get to, under beds and under furniture. TIPS: 1) Be sure and empty him every day and then vacuum the lint container; I use a dustbuster 2) Get all cords off the floor 3) Use the floor strips in places you don't want him to go 4) I had trouble putting the lint container back and realized that I wasn't squeezing the button like you do when you remove it. Just remember to squeeze that same lever putting it back in. We just love this thing! We have not tried the mop, yet.
