Batteries were DOA. Dated in 2017 they were 3 years old before I even ordered the unit. Labels on the box were faded and you could tell product was old. Sad that this was allowed to ship.

I agree with other review. Received for Christmas and it really does not pickup anything on hard floors especially and gets stuck in various spots around house. Really a waste of money. Very loyal Miele appliance client and this is disappoint to say the least.

Here’s a quick video review of the Miele Scout RX2 Robot Vacuum Cleaner. The highlights of this video are: DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT – It doesn’t work Miele’s Support System is Really Bad, especially for vaccuum cleaners The product is interesting, has promising features, but it’s simply not ready to be on the market. The mobile app is a terrible interface, The product is virtually impossible to set up. I literally had to get on the phone with the product manager for over an hour to get it setup Once up and running, the results are very disappointing. I’ve escalated my concerns all the way to the CEO, but even with him having his people get in touch with me, they can’t seem to follow-up or resolve my complaint in anyway. I’ve always had a positive impression of the Miele brand for kitchen products. But if this is the way they do business, I’d say don’t ever buy anything from Miele.

I purchased the RX2 from a local dealer who provides support. The RX2 actually has a vacuum, which is unusual in this class. It does very well with anything that a weak vacuum can pick up, but not heavier items that requires a much larger vacuum. It has a large battery and cleans our 2300 square foot first floor without recharge. The software is not particularly good and updates have required me to repair the RX2 with my phone. That is a pain, but I follow the connection instructions which are simple but requires a few tries to get it connected. Overall I would purchase again, we have solid wood furniture and the RX2 does not damage them.
