It tears/shreds the nail rather than cut. I do not recommend for elderly.

I recently bought the Electric Nail Clipper and love how easy it makes nail trimming. It's safe, collects clippings neatly, and is rechargeable. It's a bit noisy and bulky, but overall, it’s a great tool for hassle-free nail care. Highly recommend!

I had hoped to use it on my toenails, but the opening is too small to use; especially due to the angle of the toes when you raise your feet.

I thought this would be a nice alternative to the traditional nail cutters, making smooth, rounded nails instead of straight cuts. It works but you really have to shove your finger into the groove. This might not be a problem for women (or whoever) that keep their nails longer but for really short nails, it's an effort. And I find it can't always get to the sides of the nails. Often I have to back with a regular nail cutter and finish off the edges. I'll keep using it but it wasn't the perfect replacement I thought it was going to be.

This is perfect for shortening nails. I have found, that the fastest speed (3) works the best. The lower speeds cause the nails to get caught. In addition, you're going to want to use a regular nail file, to smooth the nail edges after using the machine.

With 3 power settings this product is excellent. On setting 3 it will trim your finger nails quickly. Just be careful not to hold the trimmer too long on your nails or you’ll end up with stubbs.
