This candle came very well packaged. There was no breakage or anything. It's a small but nice looking candle. When we first opened it, I was skeptical about the smell. To me, it did not smell like leather. But once lit, it definitely smells right to me. It's a mild scent, which is great, because I don't love cloying and overpowering candles. It's a masculine smell but with a touch of sweet with the vanilla. But it doesn't give me a headache like some strong, sweet-smelling candles do. I think the price is a bit high for the size of the candle, but I do love the smell.

This is a good sized candles and less expensive than most this size. It has a very subtle fragrance that doesn't overpower the room. I have sensitivity to most scents and chemical fragrances and this does not bother me at all. Very pleased.

This candle gives off a very slightly soapy or floral aroma with a slight smell I'd describe as leathery. It comes well packaged in a box with plenty of protection, and the box is rather straightforward if simply decorated. But, how does it smell? The answer is, a light and not overpowering scent, but noticeable. I wasn't certain what to expect from this scent, I'll be honest. What does "vintage leather" smell like? I've got my own ideas, but it's not an agreed-on scent profile. I was expecting more of a "leather working shop with a floral incense" scent, but the candle itself is one I would describe as "barbershop with a leather worker visiting". Luckily, I do happen to like the scent profile, though it's certainly not the scent I was expecting. It lasts a 50 hour burn time, which lines up with the current rate of wax it's burned through so far; I've been burning this candle for about an hour now and the wax still hasn't visibly gone down. I'll continue to use it over the coming days and report back if it's markedly different than the expected total burn time. My personal pledge as a reviewer: I only select items that I personally intend to use myself on a regular and continued basis. I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. I will not mince words. I write exactly what I think about a product - the good, the bad, the ugly, and the questionable. And, I will update my review if a product breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.

Do I know what Blackcurrant smells like? No. Don I know what Rose smells like? Yes, but trying to describe it is not my forte. This candle - a combination of the two - is very pleasant. It's a bit sweeter than the Moroccan Amber candle I've used with my warmer and provides a nice change.

I got this Vintage Oak scented candle for the sitting area in the garage. This is the right kind of scent for the atmosphere when a couple of guys come to see the hubs. The rich, yet subtle aroma of wood makes it more manly. Well, more manly than floral foo foo candles. So, yah. It sets the mood for a poker game or just sitting around, having a couple beers. These candles are made with soy wax so they are eco-friendly and will burn nicely. The sleek black jar looks like a “guy” jar. Well, more “guy” than a pink candle. This would be a good gift for men who appreciate the outdoor kind of scents. The cedar smell is what I smell first and I really like it. Like fresh cut cedar. I guess I don’t know what hazelnut smells like. Anyway, if must be "man-good "if the hubby doesn't object to it. This candle is 7 ounces so it should burn 58 hours, so they say. I don’t think I’ll try to verify that. It should last awhile anyway. PS If I sound like I'm being sexist, I'm not. It's just the way it is.

This is a pretty nice scent. I’ve had many candles over the years and many have leaned heavily toward a lavender base, which is fine but I’m sort of over powerfully lavender dominated scents. This Magnolia and Sandalwood candle is spot on the type of scent I’m now loving, with additional notes of musk and grapefruit. It has a more complex smell than most and for lack of a better word I would call it androgynous though they are marketing it as a men's candle. It is neither too feminine (coconut) nor masculine (musk) but appeals to both sides. Everyone has complimented the smell, both men and women. If it matters to you, the presentation on this one is sort of modern gothic chic, with an all black design. Many candles have that grandma look about them but this brand seems to be going for a cool and/or edgy vibe that could also feel at home in a boutique hotel spa.

Man, there are so many candles out there that destroy your sense of smell with overwhelming fragrances. The worst ones are the cookie / cake type that are so crazy sweet and sickening. Rest assured; these are the furthest from that kind of candle that you can get. In fact, I wish they were a little more powerful in their scent. They smell so nice, especially the Moroccan Amber and the Lemon Eucalyptus. When they are burning, it is a bit harder for the smell to come through, but because the candles themselves emit such a nice fragrance you can just leave them unlit in a small room (like a bathroom) to keep things smelling nice. The jars are a warm, deep tone that compliments the candles very nicely. This is truly a great option if you're looking for a quality set of candles or a nice gift. A bit on the expensive side perhaps, but you get what you pay for!

This review covers the lemon/lavender scented candle. It burns well, and I personally think the price point is fair. I’ve paid both more and less for a soy wax candle of this size, so 🤷‍♂️… The reason I took off a star is because I think the scent is too mild. Obviously, this is a personal preference, but my nose can barely detect the lemon/lavender blend when it’s burning in a small bedroom. Other than that, it’s a nice candle that’s presented attractively.

This is a very smooth scent of vanilla notes and leather without any sharpness (although for some reason it does list bergamot in the notes, but I did not detect citrus at all) The leather is mild, like the inside of a leather bag after it has sat around for a few months. My wife said it reminded her of the inside of a classic car we used to own. The candle burns cleanly if you trim the wick right away and it has not tunneled. The brown glass gives it a classy look. For the price, this is a good candle that I would buy again. I am going to try several of their other "masculine" line candles as well.
