Silk Blue, coral, and gold tricolor: gorgeous and unique

I was hesitant to buy this since the price tag was about 40% higher than most other tri color silk filaments from other brands. But Amolen is probably my new favorite brand for quality after having bought 4 rolls of different filament of theirs. I really love orange and blue complementary colors. Firstly you would be hard pressed to find a blue and orange filament. Secondly, it would probably look like a brownish/bronze color in blended areas. But this one uses a light teal and includes a coral to balance it out. I printed a print-in-place articulated sparrow. A complicated print. I needed to use glue stick for the tiny joints on the first layer but otherwise the filament adheres really well to a textured plate. I printed at 205/65 bed. I printed this slow at 60mm/s. Retraction at 2 @40mm/s. No supports aside from beak. The overhangs show ZERO blobbing or sagging. Considering the big overhangs under the wings, this is very very impressive. There was very minimum stringing, which might be resolved with higher retraction. This print is basically perfect. Maybe the most perfect print I've had. My only complaint. One side of this bird looks green (still better than a bronze/brown). I don't think this can be helped. The blue is more pronounced on the undersides. A lovely perwinkle blue silver. I don't know how to get the blue to be more visible and the green less visible but I'll tinker with it. I absolutely will be purchasing the teal and pink filament in the near future which also looks amazing. But this one really exceeded my expectations.

    Yay!

Great filament, it's beautiful! Took some time to figure out temp settings, but printing nicely so far! ( the yellow and orange filament seems to be too brittle after printing, definitely not good for anything w small moving parts)

    Absolutely excellent filament

Have been printing a bunch of this on a Bambu Lab P1S and P1P and the results have been amazing. Love how it looks printed, and removing supports is super easy. One of my favorite brands right now.

    Top notch filament

Just amazing looking filament (Silk blue green orange). If am trying to sell something that I've printed in different colors, people always gravitate towards this color. Lasts moderately long concerning moisture absorption. Prints well and good adhesion.

    Exactly as described. Prints perfect

We recently printed a dragon with this and it came out perfect. Color is as described and as my kids say, magical.

    Okay not excellent

Beautiful smooth color, a bit weak but not the worst I’ve delt with. Use caution when removing from print bed! I’ve had pieces break off a tad bit too easily. But overall I would buy again.

    Considerable die-swell

Color looks really neat. Overall, it prints really well. The only downside is it has a noticeable amount of shrink and die swell. This causes issues during prints when covering over infill. Sometimes, the end of a run will pull away from the wall and curl upward - creating an obstacle the hotend will hit and cause a layer shift or other print issue. Really interesting colors, but I won't be buying again. UPDATE: Vendor provided a refund and apology for the performance I experienced. A+ for customer satisfaction. Maybe I just got a bunk roll.

    Beauty

I got the black / purple / blue, and it’s stunning. Really cool how the color shifts. Can’t wait to finish my keyboard!! I got this for a dactyl manuform build.

    I am in love

I am IN LOVE with the Kingfisher rainbow filament, and foresee buying a ton of it. I had moved away from Amolen filament the last couple years because it's very expensive and there are other brands out there that perform just as well for less. However, Amolen has outdone themselves with this unique color and I am obsessed.

    New favorite tricolor unlocked

Took a bunch of an attempts to print with my Bambu P1S, which is arguably too fast for its own good. After several annoying nozzle clogs I almost gave up on it but decided to try one last time at half speed and it printed perfection! Definitely learning my lesson with these silk filaments, patience will yield gorgeous results!
