    Super shine!!

This company never lets me down. When they say shiney they mean it. I have been printing for only a few months and I am a true fan of this brand.

    Amolen Filament is Top Tier

THIS... Is amolen branded PLA and I can honestly speak on behalf of almost every single color and dual color they have to offer. Amolen is one of the top filament brands that I have come across that really doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Is this filament more expensive than the easy go-to $15 rolls? Yes. That being said, the final product is unparalleled. If you are new to 3D printing then please take my advice and don't cheap out on the filament that you use, and the temp guide that comes with amolen PLA is pretty good as well. The wood filament is always between 20 and 30% real wood and I can actually sand and stain my products as well. If you are having stringing issues just do retraction 2mm for direct drive or 5-6mm for non-direct drive and that pretty much solved my issues on the wood filament (and a good general rule of thumb). As for the dual-color filament, it is super cool but something that has a learning curve. A gyoid pattern can cause the filament to spin on the spool somewhat and mess up the pattern on your print, but as far as the actual filament it is some of the easiest to print with without tangles. Amolen has quickly become one of the brands that I trust to deliver consistent prints without clogs, even on the Silk PLA I never have a clog which is the one that I usually clog on. Amolen also always has really good deals to go with their filaments and offers several color and material types (even TPU!) so you can rest assured that you have a trusted filament brand for most of your printing demands.

It looks cool, fantastic in vase mode, but do NOT print a print in place dragon or the like.

Ill start off with what my printer is, its a Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro with 200C temp and 60C hotbed settings at 50mms. Ill start off with the Pro's Pros: It looks nice Its very flexible, and bendy, doesnt seem brittle at all and will tend to bend and not snap. Mild stringing even at high humidity. Excellent vase mode quality with excellent layer to layer adhesion (even on failed prints the layers stick to themselves very well). Now for the Cons: Dont print the articulated crystal dragon, ANY of them, or anything even LIKE it, EVER. If its a detailed print in place object, brim or no brim, adhesion layer, supports wont help. Just dont and ill explain why. One of the biggest issues ive had is when it needs to retract, now this could be mitigated if you dry it, but you can only do that so many times. What this filament wants to do is puff up, and it will want to do that inside the extruder which is not too much a problem if its constantly extruding. (which is why vase mode works perfectly). This filament prints large prints pretty well and really loves builds that have constant extrusion. It hates anything that requires a lot of retractions and replacements of filament. The deer head that is shown as the example is also funny enough a good example of what you should be printing with it. Ill put some final thoughts and keep in my I only had two filaments and this is one of them so far and this is my first printer. Bed Adhesion 3.5/5 doesnt like the first layer sometimes. Layer to Layer Adhesion 5/5 (it sticks to itself very well) water absorption 4/5 (like a sponge) Flexibility 5/5 (almost acts like flexible filament if its thin enough) Its finnicky, hard to dial in and sometimes does amazing prints and sometimes hates you.

Be careful to checked color received vs what you ordered.

The filament is great. I've always had good results printing silk PLA from Amolen. Those are not layer lines in the image. Those are ripples in the surface from the precision of the stepper motors and gcode. (I ordered Black-Blue, not Black) I'm not going to ding Amolen for me receiving the wrong product. That's on Amazon. I'm sure I can return it, but I've already opened it and I like it, but not for the project I'm currently working on. So, I'm ordering again to see if they will deliver the Black-Blue that I wanted. I will check the box label before opening next time.

    It's really PRETTY!

Full Disclosure, I do not have, nor do I know the 1st thing about 3D printing. However, I have a friend who does. I needed some very unique items made and my friend was able to do it for me. I purchased this filament and had Amazon send it over to my friend. The images I've posted are of the sides and the top of my project. This is exactly how it came off the mat. I have not done any sanding, filling, etc. to the piece, nor do I think I'm going to as it would detract from the colour and that's the whole reason I purchased this filament in the first place. It's a very pretty GOLD colour with Lots of Shine and my friend said that with a little adjustment to the machine it printed without any problems. I've ordered this filament AGAIN as the pieces that were made are truly BEAUTIFUL. The colour is stunning. I don't think my images truly represent the beauty of this colour...but I tried. Long story longer....it's a Win!

Deeper darker blue with some nice shine to it it's very pretty. Could almost pass for metal at a quick glance.

    Amazing!

I wanted to show the first layer using this PLA...I have a ender3 max neo with a PEI bed, and this silk filament puts down a beautiful first layer. I'm running at 212 degrees, 60 on the bed. I have my machine dialed in pretty well, so I'm sure that's a factor, but this stuff looks beautiful... it is good stuff! I have several spools of Amolen, and I have amazing results with all of them!

    Worst colored filament ever!

I don't know why but I've used a ton of other filaments from amolen but the gold just constantly clogged my nozzle every time, I've tried drying it, raising and lowering temp, adjusting speed and still clogged. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Good filamnet Not shiny for me

I printed this on a bambu labs printer. I was hoping for some gloss finish like the picture shows. Unfortunately, I found it just enhanced the layer lines in the print. I will continue to try it in other applications but it did not work as I hoped it would.
