The small pump and bags worked great. A single roll of filament fits perfect in bag.

I had a hand pump prior to this kit and the usb powered pump is great, takes care of the job in next to no time at all. I wish that it included condescend dry packs with the bags though.

Hint: put a paper towel under the bag valve before applying the pump - the bags need a bit of give to keep the air flowing. Takes about 30 seconds to remove air from bag - and beware that you can break or bend the spool holder if you let it run too long. I'll be buying another few sets for my students in STEAM lab.

Well, I reviewed these not long ago when I first received it because I really think it’s a slick idea. With tons of 3-D filament spools that I need to keep out of the humidity. These bags just fit the bill. I’m not sure if these were meant to be for long-term storage or both that and continual opening and then resealing but so far in the short period of time that I have them they’re definitely not a short term product. Many times I open filament use it on my printers and then have filament left on the spool so then I need to reseal it in the bag. Then at some point it could be a day,two days it could be two weeks or a month later I need to reopen it use it again and sometimes there’s still some filament left so then I’ll reseal it for a third time. What I’m finding now once these have been used a couple times I’m starting to get a ton of failures on the bags. The little vacuum pump works great and that I feel is a fantastic invention. The problem is they need to do a better job with the bags. Mine started with one bag started leaking than two then three I now have six or seven bags that will not hold the vacuum for more than a minute or two. There are no holes in the bag and I am sure the seal has been properly closed, so I’m guessing that it must be leaking through that seal or the valve for the vacuum pump. Either way when I first got these I thought they were a good purchase. Not sure if the spools I have vacuum sealed that may be on the shelf, a long time will hold their vacuum, but I can guarantee that the ones that I’m using short term opening the bag and resealing it opening and resealing . They’re all gonna start leaking so if you’re needing a short term solution like that go somewhere else because they will fail, unfortunately I had high hopes for this product and now I couldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The vacuum works great and I really like having the usb connection. Having it plugged into a portable battery pack gives you a longer run time for sealing multiple bags. It also comes with a silicon adapter to get a good vacuum seal. So far, all bags that were included has been great with no air leaks. Highly recommend!!!

works as described my only problem is a few of the bags came with holes in them so they were useless

I have tried multiple different vacuum sealed bags to store my partially used filament reels. The previous bags I had used had problems with the bag not holding a vacuum seal. in all of the others I had tried, at least a percentage of the bags would not seal correctly on the first use and the bags that did work on the first time would not hold a seal the second or third time that I reused the bags. Now I do not expect any bags to last forever, but I would expect a few more uses from each bag. Another good thing about this system is that the portable electric powered pump works very well.

You have to align the vacuum to the bag port just right, but that is not a big deal. It does remove the air from the bag. Bags are easy to open and reseal. Looks sturdy enough, but I will be careful not to drop it on any hard surfaces.
