- Cutenewt2024-03-24The LITE is great for small space living or moving around - Recommend an appliance rolling tray
I live in an apartment and move around every couple of years so it wasn't possible for me to really install a water filtration system. I was a little envious of my homeowner friends with reverse osmosis systems because the water tasted so good. This little machine was the answer! It works great, looks simple and clean, and is about the right amount of water for one person for the day (depends on how much you are at home). It comes shipped really well in a heavy box with sophisticated padding and getting it set up is super easy. If you are getting it to put under a kitchen cabinet (see photo), I'd recommend getting an appliance rolling tray because it's difficult to change out the tank in the back each day without sliding the whole unit out from under the cabinet. The size is a little unusual compared to other appliances but I found a rolling shelf that fit well. It's the Nifty appliance shelf in small: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093MJCQG7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 You can always get a wider shelf if you want to put glasses or the fruit infusion glass next to the unit. The directions say to run it pretty much every day so if you are away for several days at a time or travel a great deal, note that you will need to remove the filter and place it in the fridge. It encourages me to drink water so I don't find an issue running it at least once a day. I've seen another complaint about water waste. There is some water left in the tank after two cycles and the manual says to discard that waste water as it is now more concentrated with all the things that were filtered out. All water filtration systems have some waste. The difference here is that you see it because it doesn't automatically empty. That's sort of the point. This unit doesn't tie in with your plumbing in any way so it's completely portable to your next living space and doesn't get you into trouble with the landlord. It just needs to be plugged in to the wall. It's a little bit noisy but not even close to the volume of a blender or something. I would not run it at 2am if your building is silent and you want to stay friends with shared-wall neighbors but it's no issue at all during the day with other noises around. You can always run it during the day and stick the full pitcher in the refrigerator for a crisp fresh drink late at night if you are living your best life at 2am. Customer service is excellent as I had a couple of questions after I purchased it. They got back to me right away and I am very satisfied. Definitely recommend and the appliance rolling shelf has made it perfect!

My girlfriend and I started using this product during the Memorial Day weekend. It came well packed and was easy to set up and get started. I think the instruction booklet is very good and easy to follow. The one instance I contacted customer service, I was really impressed. That was just a question about the filter. I tested our softened well water, which was not very drinkable, at 490 (on a TDS meter). We flushed the new filter as described and after running several cycles of filtered water, the readings on the machine's TDS were in the 10-40 range mostly. They settled into the 15-25 range after further filtering. This is well within the 90-95% filter rate expected by the product. Yes, there is waste water but not as much as I expected. This machine is relatively quick and quiet. Easy to operate and takes up less space and is very portable. You can stop the filtering process at any time. We have several 32 and 64 ounce Mason jars that we filled with water for storage in the fridge and on the counter. The larger 64 ounce jar even fits in where the carafe sits. I liked the taste right off the bat, but my girlfriend needed an extra additive. We put in about 4-5 drops of concentrated mineral solution into a full carafe (40 ounces) and the taste was more to her liking. The older cat seems to like the water as she drinks it often. The pros: This filtering machine works well and produces really nice, clean water. It works just as described. The cons: None really. Be aware that during the 30 second back flushing, a few drops of water may drip in the front where the carafe would sit and there may be a very small amount of water on the back ledge where the tank sits when it is removed for filling. This is very minor and in no way affects the operation of the product. We just have a small wash cloth handy if it is needed to soak up the few drops. I really liked the fact that this machine uses only one filter. Hopefully it lasts 9-12 months. Time will tell. It is good for 1-2 people. We are both retired and the ROPOT-lite is perfect for us. I expect we will use it almost daily. It is well made and looks durable. The blue color is sweet as my S/O loves it. We didn't want to spend a fortune on a water filtering system. We looked at some in the $1,000-$1,500 range but that was too much to spend. I looked at under the sink R/O options and distilled water machines. We live in an apartment and are limited as to what we can install. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. I didn't mind spending $300 for good clean water and the convenience of making it on demand. Now, we know what we will be drinking without wondering if the water is really safe or not. After spending a few months doing research on water filtering, I think this unit is the best option for us. I think this product came on the market about a year ago, so I hope it will last quite a while. You can trust customer service if you have a need as they are very friendly and responsive. FURTHER UPDATE: 12/28/2023...Product has been working well but I recently had a minor issue. I contacted customer service and once again they were prompt and responsive in dealing with my problem. I am very satisfied.
- chill282024-05-09The best countertop RO on the market for size, design, and convenance. Purity? Maybe not...
This is the smallest countertop RO around, mainly because of its unique all-in-one filter. Does it filter as good as others? I'd bet not, but it's good enough for me and it tastes great. Size and design were more important to me than absolute complete purity. If you want that, go with the Aquatru. I contacted the company and they did send some test results and such and they all looked fine of course. But, the fact that they don't boldly advertise this, the unique nature of the single filter and the rather low cost lead me to believe this may not filter as well as some others. The TDS meter on the unit is off. It's always between 2 and 5 for me, which is really 6 or 8 when measured with a separate meter. Its still extremely clean and it really tastes great. I have decent city water with a TDS of ~65 btw. These are round numbers: Bluevua RO100ROPOT-LITE - 9.7L x 9.4w x14h Each pitcher is 40oz (1200ml). 1 tank fill makes 2 pitchers, so 80 oz (2400ml) per trip-to-the-sink. RO100RoPot-UV 14.3 x 11 x 15.4 - 1700 ML pitcher. Each pitcher fill requires a trip to the sink. Aquatru Carafe 13 H x 14 D x 7.5w 64 oz carafe - each fill requires a tank refill - a trip to the sink. Aquatru Classic - the internet seems to like this one, validated to be extra clean. But its bigger, ugly and only has 96 oz per trip-to-the-sink. Only a bit more than the ROPOT-LITE. And this one costs quite a bit more. The ROPOT-LITE can be had all the time for $250 and I've seen it on sale for $209. That's pretty cheap. 14H x 14D x 12w 96oz carafe - each fill requires a tank re-fill - a trip to the sink If I were to suggest improvements it'd be a slightly bigger tank and carafe. It takes a min or so to fill a carafe which is fine to me, we keep a cold pitcher in the fridge and just top that up. I tend to like room temperature water though so I rarely use that. The carafe is also really thin.... I like the glass but I really wish it were more durable, I can tell it'd break easily. This thing also comes with a fruit infuser.... fine I guess but we'll never use that. I'd suggest getting rid of that and putting that money towards a more durable, larger carafe/tank.

We recently moved out of state, and the quality of the drinking water here is sub-par! I found myself drinking bottled water, which I wasn’t happy doing with the knowledge of the carcinogens in those plastic bottles. After much research, I purchased this water filtering system and couldn’t be more pleased. It’s easy to set up, quiet, fits right on my countertop without taking up much room, and produces the most crystal clear, refreshing water. I find myself constantly reaching for a glass to fill with this safe, healthy water. The pitcher does not leak.
- Jordan C2024-06-24Excellent No-Install Option
Legit buyer review here. Love this thing enough to come write a review about it so... Yeah. Did some research and saw that reverse osmosis was probably the ideal water filtration method but did not want to install anything under my sink. Reasons I bought it: 1. Reverse osmosis countertop system 2. No under the sink install required. Not trying to sweat. 3. Not ugly 4. Built in digital TDS display Reasons I love it: 1. Accessory options are nice. Water mineralizer, diffuser, and an extra pitcher. Not included tho. I bought these. 2. Easy to use. The tank holds like... 2.5 to 3 pitchers worth of water. Refilling process is easy. 3. Size and design. 2 person household and we are never waiting for water. I usually just leave half a pitcher filled at all times. I included a picture next to my Nespresso for size reference. I like the way it looks. 4. Water is crisp. I enjoy the taste with or without the remineralizer.
- SylviaE2024-03-17sufficient for 2 people plus dog, small footprint, fast, fresh water
This device sits on our kitchen counter and does not take much space. We found a place close to the fridge which normally would not be prime kitchen workspace anyways. It is in use now for over 6 months and overall works really great. The machine delivers fresh tasting water. How well it works is also very noticeable when sniffing the discharged water in the tank which smells like a lot of chlorine is in there, in other words the machine filtered all the chlorine out of our tap water and concentrated it in the discharge water. Great. The speed of filling the carafe is pretty good and the machine easily provides all our drinking water for 2 people plus one dog. I still cook potatoes and pasta in regular tap water but all other water we consumer comes from the ROPOT. I store some water in a quart Mason jar in the fridge to have it around in case a sudden greater need arises (guests, cooking etc.) and refresh that jar daily. The water is probably slightly acidic (the reverse osmosis part) so I would not want to store it in any other material. We also got some mineralization drops and sometimes use those, it depends. For example when starting some seedlings for tomato plants etc. and those are being watered with the ROPOT water where a few of those drops were added. So far the plants look great, healthy and strong. Or when drinking large amounts of water at once like when working out, I add some of those drops. It is also remarkable that the ROPOT is only on two bars on the indicator of the first filter although we are using it now for over 6 months daily, so the filter lifetime probably really gets close to a year as advertised. Overall this is a great device and I don't want to miss it. The size seems perfect.
- breeze902652024-03-23Great Water Filter
I purchased this unit back in Nov 2023. It has been making about two to three of the containers per day on average since I bought it. My tap is around 210-240. Just today the filter dropped from 4 bars of health to 3 bars after 4 months of daily use. My only issue is with the built in mineral reader that usually shows 15-25 on average. The only discrepancy I have is that my other two stand alone mineral reading devices show the purified water to be about twice the reading than the one in the unit, usually 30-40. 30 is still good but with my other two independent readers I have never seen it below 20 except for the first couple weeks when it was new and the internal was reading 8-10. The water tastes great, I do not mind dumping the brine water that others complain about. I guess you need to understand that in order for this filter to last it needs to regurgitate the minerals so the filter doesn't quickly clog. I think for the size, quality of output and price point, black Friday sale, $199, I give it 5 stars. Should I need another one I would buy another in the future. My local grocery charges about $2 a gallon for purified water so even with the replacement cost of the filter I am way ahead in savings. Also, I am not lugging plastic jugs into the house and then into the trash once I am finished. Many I see here have issues with water waste, or functionality, or noise or what ever. I find its very easy to use, works very well, and I have no problem dumping the little left over brine water into my plants. I would recommend this to someone with limited space and doesn't have more than a couple of people in the household.
- Nehal2024-04-02Clean and tasty water
This is great sleek countertop reverse osmosis filtration system out there. There is no installation or plumbing required this was important for us because we move quite a bit and having filtration system under sink in apartments is quite a bit of mess. It came well packed with proper padding and was easy to startup and get started. The smart led display makes it easier to monitor lifespan of filter, volume to be pushed and alert when filter needs changing. Love the fruit infused water recipes book that comes along with it. I love that containers are made of borosilicate glass rather than plastic. The holding tank has lines for max fill and dotted line below which you are not recommended to reuse the water as it is waste water and needs to discarded. These all needs to be handles manually and machine does not do it for you. The setup comes with cleaning brushes to clean the parts. All in all this is definitely worth the price.
- Kiwichibi2024-07-02So far so good
This is a little bigger visually than I was initially imagining, so I'm glad I went with the smaller one. My tap water is ~475ppm, and the initial liter filtered brings it down to 60-67ppm. The only reason for a 1 star deduction is that the last 24oz or so before it needs to be dumped seems to be higher ppm. With the mineralization cartridge it reached 292ppm for the last bit and had a slight metallic taste, whereas it's more like 92ppm for the first liter with the mineralization cartridge. I'm guessing I don't need the extra mineralization for the last bit. The TDS reading also doesn't seem to be accurate as others have noted. The machine will say 30ppm when it's 60+ measured with the Zero water tds meter. Zero water does read 0ppm on this meter. I'm glad the machine beeps and tells you when to dump the leftover water. It's a bit hard to see the tank dump line since it faces the wall. I read the remaining water for fun, and that was about 1300ppm.
- Mike2024-07-14Overall I’m Happy
It’s been 6 months so I can do a proper review. Easy to setup and use. After the initial flush it’s fill up and hit the button. Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I do sprinkle some Himalayan Salt in my water for taste & minerals. It’s perfect for a small kitchen. You have to get creative with your waste water, it’s a good amount left over after each flush. Over all I’m happy with my purchase. I don’t drink out of plastic unless I have no other choice. It’s quiet too
