    Works great!

I love this warming mat - it's great! I really like the blue coloring - it's really pretty & the darker color better hides spills & potential stains (although silicone is pretty hard to stain). It heats up really fast and it's so easy to use. The controls are pretty self-explanatory, and I really appreciate the timer (I always forget to turn off my other one until I'm clearing the table). I like the different temperature settings and it's a really good size for plenty of plates/containers. It rolls up easily and pretty small to go back in the little (cheap) bag/pouch for easy storage. It's really easy to clean (wipe down) and I love that it doesn't damage the surface underneath it. Really great idea & product - I recommend.

It works as intended but no more.

We have used our to keep some pancakes warm and to help a break rise. My parents are currently borrowing it for a camping trip where they have used it at night to keep food warm while they set up with some fellow campers. For all of that, this is great. This isn't going to do much beyond keep something warm however. The design and the material are such that it can't get up to any kind of cooking temp. I figured as much as soon as I got a good look at it. It might SAY it can go to 215 and I am sure it can... but to get a pot or pan to that same temp is impossible. The conduction from the silicon mat just won't push the kind of energy transfer you need. You could, in theory, cook an egg on this thing if you didn't mind the time it took and the questionable consistency but if you want to keep some cooked eggs warm... you are in luck! I think this is a neat item for certain situations. My family is Norwegian and we do breakfast as a smörgåsbord. So with this we can do cool things like keep cakes and drinks and bread warm while we sit and eat. But I won't, as I had maybe hoped, take it glamping to use as a way to cook foods. I hope someday they make one of these with a high enough gauge wire and cooking surface to get up to the 275F range but that is asking a lot of material science to be honest.

These Food Warming Mats keep getting better and better.

I have reviewed several of these heating Mats on Amazon and they keep getting better and better with each new one. So far this is the best. It has the three standard temperatures (Warm 140 degrees, Medium 175 Degrees, and Hot 215 Degrees). But the first thing that is new is a Child Lock. Although nice so maybe an adult does not accidently change the setting, I do not want my children/grandchildren anywhere near hot pans/food. This also comes with 3 different timer (1, 2, and 4 hour) settings which is a new functionality I like. The more I use them the more I like (and feel safe with) these Roll Up (silicone) Portable Electric Warming Trays. I suggest fully reading the use and care instructions so to use it safely and prolong their longevity.

After 2 hours on the highest setting I can still put my fingers in the water

I wasn't sure why I felt like I needed to get this, then the day before it arrived our stove made a sound like a gunshot and stopped working. I thought the timing was perfect with this coming the next day, especially since it gets up to 215 degrees, and 212 is what water boils at! When it arrived I set everything up, but a little bit of water on it in a pan, and put it on high for 2 hours. It took quite a while to heat up. I kept touching it to see if it was getting too hot to touch, and finally stopped and went around other business for the rest of the two hours, waiting for it to boil. The water didn't even get close to boiling. Some features that I would be excited about, if this worked: I thought it has the equivalent of six burners or hot spots in it, but the entire mat heats up, so you would be able to sit different sized things on it in whatever combination works for you, and all the surfaces are being heated up. I like that it rolls up and is so mobile and easy to store. It is easy to clean, just keep water away from the control end. You can put a variety of materials on it, such as glass, stainless steel, and more. It says it can be folded away for storage without worrying about unsightly creases, but I wouldn't fold it, I'd roll it. It says it can heat up within 10 seconds and heat food to an appropriate temperature within 10 minutes, but with it set to 215 degrees, I could still put my hand on the surface after 10 minutes. I love the idea and design of this. I don't know if something is up with my tray, but I got a different idea of what it would be like than what I'm experiencing. I will keep using it and see if something is wrong, or it's user error. I will update here if I find anything new to report.

    Convenient warming tray

This warming mat isn't something that we will be using very often and why I like this particular design. We typically only need this during the holidays and the rest of the time it's going to be stored. We also occasionally go to pot luck events where having a portable hot plate is a handy thing. This mat stores easily in a draw when not in use and is an easy item to bring to a pot luck instead of a big flat rigid warming tray. The mat works great, heats up really quick and doesn't slide around when you move dishes around on top of it. I was concerned about how much heat would be transferred to the surface it's on, that is until I saw the silicone ribs on the underside. They create a nice air space under the mat while also keep it in place. It's also a breeze to roll up with the cord tucked inside. The velcro strap that comes with it is all you need to keep it in a roll and it even fits back in the storage bag with ease.

    Dough Maker's Miracle

I bought this for one reason . . . dough proofing. I make a lot of pizza dough and sourdough. Not a relevant concern at this time of year, but during the winter and cold weather dough making takes much more time and is less convenient. On pizzas, I proof my dough in large plastic dough boxes. This mat will provide a warm place to sit the dough boxes on the counter. The mat has the ability to get much hotter than I need for dough, but the lower end works really well.

    This Mat Gets Hot

This warming mat gets nicely hot. It is has three heat settings. It heats up quickly and also cools down quickly. It measures 24x15. It is made of silicone. It is easy clean up if there are spills just by wiping it with a damp cloth. The directions say to not submerge it into water. I think this would be great when you have a potluck for a casserole dish that you want to keep warm.

    Portable and Efficient

The Owenri Food Warming Mat is an excellent choice for keeping food warm at parties, buffets, or during travel. Its roll-up design makes it portable and easy to store. With three temperature settings (140, 175, and 218 degrees Fahrenheit), it quickly heats your food, though using flat-bottom dishes or pots and pans will give the best results. The mat features a timer function with automatic shut-off and a safety lock button for added convenience and safety. Despite some other reviews, this mat heats up quickly and efficiently. Perfect for daily use or special occasions, it’s a reliable and practical addition to any kitchen.

    Great product

So this item is not to cook on. It is a warming mat. I got to test this yesterday for July 4th and man did it do a great job. It does take a little bit of time to warm up (one star off) but luckily I had set this out and plugged it in while getting the food ready. By the time I was ready to put all the dishes on it - it had warmed up so that all the dishes were warm throughout the night. I would not put the dishes on it while it's heating just let it warm up to the temp you want and then place your dishes on it. This way the heat will stay consistent. I also love that at the end of the night I was able to let it cool and roll up.

    Great for buffet serving

I'm glad to have this. Perfect for something like Thanksgiving when I'll want to have multiple hot dishes stay warm for seconds and thirds.
