I decided to try a new filter to be able to enjoy tapwater as bottled water has gotten so expensive. So far this seems to be a great addition Price I’ll pay off very quickly. Excited to have this as an addition to our household.

O OK, I’m ur what in town taste horrible! And I’m so tired of lugging gallons and cases of water. I got this and it’s an amazing product. I no longer need to lug so much water!!!! Very easy to install and highly recommended
- Barbie Xon2024-06-07haven't figured this out yet
So, this water sanitizer definitely looks cool and legit. But I don't really understand how to install it. I began reading the instructions and my ADHD got the best of me. If you are the type that likes to unpack something and put it to work right away, this may not be the product for you. I can usually figure out these things without needing the instructions; this is definitely not one of them. I will update this review once I figure it out and get it going; I just wanted to post my initial experience with it.
- TECHnical2024-06-11Well-built. Seems actual UVB/UVC. Triggers even with light water flow.
I got this UV filter to sanitize any growth in the clean water side of my RO system. Was easy to install and it turns on reliably even with a light water flow. Testing suggests it is real UVB/UVC light, not just a typical UV flashlight inside. My only question is certified verification that this really works, and that the materials are OK. Filter is sturdy metal. Ends unscrew from central tube, each with O-ring seals. Does not come with two 1/4"-3/8" adapters, so you might need another adapter to fit it in a 3/8" output RO system. Water flow switch is quite sensitive, picking up even a slight flow of water, so this will reliably turn on, and for extra sanitizing you can run the water slowly. Inside of filter had some residue (see photo). I disassembled the three sections and cleaned by hand before use. Testing UV LEDs, they draw 8.7W. To test UV output, I opened unit up and turned it on continuously for 8 minutes with a banana under it, along with a good 9W UV flashlight on the banana for the same time. I didn't see any difference immediately, but after an hour the banana was clearly "suntanned" from this UV lamp, but no effect from the UV flashlight (see photo). I further ran the UV flashlight for 20 minutes on the banana, but that still never "tanned". This is good evidence that it does have UVB and UVC.
- Doug M.2024-06-19A Great Addition to Any Filtering System That's Not Rated to Remove Health Related Pathogens.
When I ordered the Rapget LED Ultra-Violet Under Sink Water Filter my immediate thought was, “how will I know if it’s really doing anything.” So, to start off, I would like to extend my kudos to another reviewer, TECHnical, who apparently has the know-how and instrumentation to answer that question and did. I sleep better now. As other reviewers have already noted, the UV Filter immediately impresses as a quality-built device. In fact, there isn’t much of anything I can say about it that hasn’t already been said. It’s not inexpensive, but you feel as though you received in value, what you paid. The UV Water Filter is supplied as a kit with everything you need for an easy install under the kitchen sink of most residential homes; it even comes with a tube cutting tool for resizing the small number of tubes supplied. It can be used alone or up/down stream of other filtering. In our case, we use a single encasement under sink filter to remove sediment, chlorine and heavy metals. From there, we filter the water a second time through a gravity fed filtering system to further remove heavy metals and fluoride. Neither of those filters are rated to remove “heath related” pathogens, only aesthetically removing chemicals like chlorine and fluoride, along with heavy metals and VOCs. So, I installed the Rapget UV Filter between the other two filtrations, in other words, after the original under sink filter. As such, we now have a relatively complete filtering system. As I mentioned at the beginning, knowing that the UV filter is doing its job has brought more peace of mind and the confidence that the water we’re drinking is free of harmful organisms. The Rapget UV Water Filter is great addition to any filtering system rated less than an NSF/ANSI 53 standard.
- dcd1362024-06-16Very Easy to install, especially if you've worked with RO systems already.
I really like the stainless steel housing and the use of fairly standard tubes and connectors. Easy to install. I've looked for something this easy to include in my RO delivery 'chain' of tubes and connectors. Even though I sanitize the pressure tank and system on a regular basis, occasionally I'll notice a tiny bit of odor coming from some of my external water containers, using some basic solutions (NOT MIXING THEM together, of course). Sometimes chlorine solutions, sometime iodophor (iodine containing) and sometimes other acid based solutions I use in my homebrewing vessels. One or two ruined brews is all it takes to get religious about cleanliness and the disinfection of water or anything else you're going to drink! So, I'll cross my fingers and hope this UV device is effective as advertised. I have no real way to test its effectiveness, but have no problem adding this device to my systems hoping it will help. It does not seem to measurably restrict the existing faucet flow. So, I'm recommending this product definitely for its perceived sturdy build and quality of materials. Also for its ease of installation. If effective, as advertised, it will be a nice addition to my water supply. Recommended.

I have been very impressed with this UV water filtration system, and am very glad to add it to our drinking water system. We have a nice 5-stage under the sink reverse osmosis unit, which filters water wonderfully, however, it doesn't actually disinfect it, like a UV system would, so adding this unit to the flow has given us the complete clean drinking water solution. Sediment, chemicals and bacteria are nullified. The water tastes GREAT. I feel safe, which is pretty rate in these times. Set up was a breeze, we just added it after the RO system and plugged it in. Water pressure wasn't affected. It didn't even take up as much space as I thought it would. I would not only suggest this unit, I already have. It's been a game changer for us.
- shepschic2024-06-08HEAVY!
The stainless steel filter unit is quite impressive and heavy. The funish is clean and it comes packaged neatly. They include easy instructions. It fits between water inlet or RO system and the fountain spicket. Does not include the spicket.
- Katmai2024-07-01Good price and a well made quality item
I installed the UV filter in our Bigfoot trailer as it has no water filter installed for for the fresh water tank, only a screw on filter for the city water connection. As some of the provincial parks often have boil water advisories this was a great addition to the regular VOC, heavy metal, carbon filter under the sink. As it requires 24v DC it's connected to a small 300W 12v to110v inverter that is switched on with the pump. It requires a few fittings to connect it to the 1/2" pump inlet hose. Flow is good and it's a reasonably compact install. The filter lights up with a green glow when water is flowing through it being sanitised.
