Went from a timer to these plugs and the setup was very easy! I downloaded the app, set that up the night before. All you need to do is plug in an outlet, enter your WiFi details and set up the plug. Very easy to use!

Works right out the box with my existing Smart Life app.

I ordered this set of mini smart plugs to expand my home automation capabilities. Up to this point, I have mainly been concerned with controlling lighting, but I intend to branch out into other devices. From reading the description on the product page, I assumed these devices worked directly with Alexa. However, I was disappointed that the “Smart Life” app had to be installed and linked to my Alexa app. It works, but it’s not as straightforward as expected. I performed the setup on my 2.4GHz WiFi network without issues. These mini smart plugs have a 15 amp rating, which is well within the rating of all the devices I plan to control. These mini smart plugs function as advertised and are competitively priced compared to name-brand products. I set my rating as four stars because they require linking apps instead of directly interfacing with Alexa.

Great compact wifi plugs make it easy to convert any outlet in to a smart outlet. Pairing with the Smart Life/Tuya apps takes seconds and integration with Alexa (link Smart Life skill to Alexa or from Home Assistant to Alexa using Emulated Hue) is seamless. You can put these pretty far away from your router since the 2.4Ghz signal seems to be nice and strong from them. I am seeing -35 dBm signal at the furthest end of my house. Using a few of them for automations to turn off chargers once the devices hit 85% and back on if they drop below 20% - they work great. The others are being used on random things like an Xbox and misc electronics to kill the power when not is use they all somehow draw a ton of vampire energy even when "off". Setting up scenes and voice control with them is also easy peasy in Alexa - just name them something besides "switch 1" after pairing to find them again. The only thing missing that would have been a bonus is energy monitoring but they work as intended as a switch.

I am a big fan of Alexa and automating almost everything in my house to when the fan or AC comes on to the lights! I've been ordering the basic version of this but they are of large and don't fit in cramped spaces or corner plugs, these are at least 20-30% smaller and work just as well!

I control most of my house with Wi-Fi switches and outlets. These looked like a good value so I decided to give them a try. They were easy to set up. The app works well to control them from anywhere. Overall, a great value in Wi-Fi switches.

Really simple design. Power button on the side (left side when facing it). These support up to 15A usage. Out of the box, these suggest to use the Smart Life app. I've used this app for many other products I have in my house. In order to make it work with your Alexa, you'll need to use the Smart Life app - then "link" this app to the Alexa app. Then anything you have in your Smart Life app can be usable by Alexa. I tested this successfully and it did exactly what I wanted it to do. Now, just using Smart Life alone without a need for Alexa, Google, etc.. The Smart Life app is very strong in what it can do, like offering scheduling which is really great if you want your house to look lived in when out on vacation for instance. Just love the face that I can control (on/off) devices connected thru these from anywhere. As the Smart Life app does connect thru your wifi. Please note, this uses only the 2.4GHz side of your wifi. Will not work with 5. It does see this device when you're connected to the 5 side, but you'll need to connect thru your 2.4 to control it. 2 year warranty is also a nice touch. Very easy to setup and connect to not only the Smart Life side, but also to my voice controlled Alexa so I can easily turn things on and off this way.

I love being able to turn things on and off without going to a switch, and it's nice to turn on specific lights by voice. My house is infested with Alexa devices, and this works with them to control the lights and things at the plug. These were as easy to set up as any of the ones I've used, and so far I've had no trouble making them work.
