UPDATE 24 June 2024 These LED 'wicks' ARE properly colored. My statement about white wicks is wrong - my apologies. I had the opportunity to open one bulb and checked the wick - they are all the various colors! The colors do still seem a little unsaturated, but these are real colored LEDs, not just white ones with colored plastic. This makes the price all that much better for the real thing. --------- I got these multicolor S14 LED bulbs for our patio lights strings. Those strings are all white bulbs and I think adding an occasional colored bulb here and there will add a little spice and visual interest. These colored bulbs use full-wave rectification so there is virtually no flicker. The colors bright and are all pleasant enough, however they are not very saturated, they are more like a pastel color. The LED ‘wick’ is a white LED and the color is added by the colored plastic ‘glass’ bulbs. They would be much more saturated if the LED wicks were the actual colors, but they would certainly cost a lot more. As for price, the $28 for 30 at the time of this review is a good price – just under $1 per colored LED bulb. I think this is a good a good deal to add some spice to our patio life. I’m considering getting some more so my wife can do a little holiday coloration instead of just highlights.

Love them. A couple years ago I bought some outdoor string lights to go around my back yard fence for accent. They were all white and did the job. Just lately, I was wondering if I could change up the colors for parties, Christmas and so on. I was thinking I could wrap each bulb in colored cellophane so something. THEN ... I saw these!!! Perfect. Yeah, sure, it will take maybe 30 minutes to switch the bulbs out but the change is dramatic. Keep in mind that these are LED light equivalent of 10 watts. Each individual bulb is not very bright. In a string of 30 lights, they add up and provide an nice atmosphere on a covered deck or porch. They screw into a standard light bulb socket so they could be just the thing for 'mood' lighting, a Halloween party etc.

The 15 LED bulbs in the string over my patio were beginning to show their age. Some had broken diodes, some had shorted and melted and all of them were crusty from years of weather, sun and dirt. Now not only do I have bulbs that burn just 1 watt each but they throw enough light to create a nice atmosphere and I have enough to replace my 15 light strand again when these age out.

They were well made and worked great. They are brighter and cooler than I expected for its wattage. They won't get hot. The E26 base worked great wit existing fixtures. The PVC shell was almost indistinguishable from glass. I wasn't able to tell the difference. They won't break like glass shell.

These work as expected and closely match the color/warmth of the OEM product. This is a great buy for replacements. Color warmth is OK so brightness is comparable and not to bright in the eveneing.

Got these as replacement bulbs for outdoor festoons. These are a bit more “white” toned than what was expected yes based on color temperature listing.

I ordered these because I wanted some dim bulbs. Yes, not bright but dim. If you are looking for bright light bulbs, this isn't for you. For under $20, you get thirty bulbs, and each bulb expends a single watt. The second picture shows a normal incandescent-style LED light bulb that expends about 10 W on the left and one of the thirty 1 W bulbs you get on the right. These are also incandescent-style because when it is lit up, the LED stick looks like a filament. I would say it is ten times dimmer than the normal LED bulb. It makes sense because each bulb is 67 cents, which is dirt cheap. The bulb itself is clear plastic instead of glass, and the base is metal, of course. There is one LED stick in each bulb. If you prefer to have dim bulbs, these are perfect for you. These may also work pretty well outdoors. Just note that these are dim bulbs, and you should know before purchasing.

I would classify these as subtle - not overly bright, and lighter in color, but still noticeable as colored lights. The plastic bulbs are shatterproof and they fit my existing strings, they just add a bit of festivity. At less than $1 per bulb, and being LED will also save money when lit, I feel that this bulk package is a good value.

These fit right in with my existing string lights that I bought froM Costco a few years back. Look great, easy t install, but haven't had them long enough to rate the longevity.
