This gives the same results as my liquid test set for the fish tank as well as the test strips for the hot tub. The hand held meter is easy to use and clean. Operation is pretty self explanatory. it is probably more accurate than I need but the price is too good to ignore. This make pH test in my fish tank and hot tub so much easier.

I have a several PH meters. All of these including this one I would classify as mid range PH meters. I am using this to help my grow indoors and I need a PH accuracy that is 0.20 +/- up or down and all is fine. What stands out WITH this meter is that is does both EC and PPM. Since PPM is derived from EC, it is good to have the source data. I also noticed the probe for the PH reading is half the size as that of an older meter I have and the reading seem to stabilize a little bit quicker as well. I calibrated my old probe and this one with the included PH buffer and then took them out, waited a bit, and then retested again in the PH buffer and this newer meter was closer to the 6.86 buffer than my old one. I also put both is a cup of my well water and the new meter showed 7.49 and an older lab test I had done on my well put the PH at 7.45. Just to note this also displays the temp of the water and it runs on 3 coin batteries ... looks like LR44 without pulling them out. I really think the mid range is a good place for these PH meters if you are growing because they are 1/4 the cost of a high end model and I question if those are much more accurate. I will note that on the higher end models they come with liquid buffer instead of the powder this one comes with and that makes it a lot lot easier to calibrate, but again about 4 times as much money as this. I think this is a good value for the asking price at the time of this review.
- MarkinPhoenix2024-07-12Great 4 -1 Water tester - Accurate
I really like using these water testers for a variety of reasons My most used feature is the parts per million and the PH testing I get my water in 5 gallon jugs and always want to test the quality The water coming out of my tap is around 550 PPM If I have a good source ,it can get all the way down to 10 PPM I recently noticed thanks to this device that one of my sources is no more than glorified tap water at 460 PPM. I'm paying for nothing Most of the time however my sources like supermarkets around are 10 to 15 PPM which is what I want I also use the PD testing because I used to buy high alkaline water and I always like to test the alkalinity just to be sure It even includes some chemicals to calibrate the pH to ensure accuracy Good value, works great
- Nicky2024-07-11Seems accurate so far
I haven't had this too long but it seems to be working well in comparison to my other TDS meter. It is probably a solid midrange TDS meter and won't last as long as the higher end ones. I would expect this to start being inaccurate within a year or two. It does come with enough meter measure solution to dial it in twice which is nice as when it starts to misread and get out of alignment in the future you will already have those packs to reset it again and get it accurate once more.

This comes with six sealed packets of powder in three different strengths (two packs of each) to mix up buffer solution used to calibrate the tester. This is previously calibrated at the factory, so I figured "good enough" for my testing. The packets of buffer solution are each added to 250 ml (8-1/2 ounces) of clear water, so probably a good idea to get some suitable bottles to save the solution for future calibrations. My test results with this meter match the colored test strips and liquid testing kit used for the hot tub - - only this is easier, quicker and more convenient to use that trying to match colors. Recommended.

The ph meter seems to be accurate out the box. I tested it with 4.0 and 7.0 calibration solution and it was only 1 point off which is acceptable. This meter has a waterproof top. The lcd is easy to read and visible. It quickly reads tds and ph. Very useful when testing hydroponic solution. This is better than carrying around 2 separate meters. Not sure of the battery life... but so far so good. This meter could be used to test your drinking water too at home.

I found this to be useful for keeping water PH balanced in my pond as it would for anyone with a pool. If you keep your PH balanced, you will use less chlorine and therefore saving money. Test strips work but are more of a pain to use than this tool is. Takes only a minute or two to test and determine your water's needs.

This water tester tests for the areas of most concern to anyone with a Hydroponic Garden. PH, Temp, EC and TDS (PPM) I especially like that it has both EC and TDS as many recent articles I have read indicate that EC is a superior test over TDS, but this gives you both. The probe size is perfect to fit into most planting ports in hydroponic gardens making it easy to use. Overall this is what I would consider a perfect tester for any Hydroponic Gardeners out there.

Easy to use and comes with test solution. Compares favorably to other PH meters that I have and combines PPM, temperature and EC into one meter.
- Lexey2024-07-16Works well
This pH meter works well. I tested it out in my hydroponics garden. It helped me immensely as I am new to hydroponics and brought me peace of mind knowing that my garden is doing well, and I will know when exactly to add nutrients.
