I have a retainer from when I had braces as an adult. I typically soak them in the denture cleaner (water and tablet), so they are actually pretty clean. But after using this, I feel more confident that they are really clean. The LED light and the ultrasonic cleaning feature do more than just soaking could ever do. There are different lengths of time, but all are relatively quick which is nice. It was easy to clean up as well. Finally, for some reason, I was worried that after running a cycle, the water would be too warm or hot to dip my fingers in it to get my retainer out. But it wasn't. The cleaning cycle had no effect on the water temperature.

The instructions are somewhat vague as to how to use this. Suggested using water, and if that doesn't work "add a cleaning solution" which is not furnished or in any way defined. Did 2 sessions with water, no help to badly tarnished silver rings. Then made a solution of salt, baking soda and some aluminum foil. That made some headway, but more cleaning to do.

This is so nice! I use it daily to clean my night guard. It comes out free of smells or bad tastes. I do use it with a denture cleaning tablet. Haven’t tried just water. The UV light is nice to help kill germs. I like that you have the option to turn it off or on. The size is small enough I can bring this with me when I travel. It’s perfect for my needs. I’m very happy with it.

My son uses this to clean his Invisalign trays each night. It works so well and I love that it has a UV light, too!

Great for cleaning retainers and mouth guards. Easy to sue for daily cleaning. Size is good for easy storage.

I wasn't sure if I believe it would clean or not but it works. It's takes about 300 seconds to do it but my retainer seems clean.
