What else can I say! It does the job!

This product is great. I've been using it for pizza oven. Checking my air conditioning water temperature of my pool. And many other things, it works. Great, and very accurate would recommend it

Works perfectly. Since Blackstone has no temperature gauge on the griddle this little guy does the work and you can tell when the griddle is perfect temperature for searing while the other side is kept lower for veggies or something you want less heat to. Really, you can’t be without this if you want perfect grilling on the Blackstone.
- DandyPatt2024-05-27An equalizer for ovens have temp variance.
My vintage oven is a workhorse and is well insulated. After I oven-roasted Beef bourguignon and the meat was a tiny bit dry. And with being in a covered Dutch oven, making it even hotter, I realized that the oven temp was higher that the oven setting. With this thermometer I was able to adjust the oven temperature to what I wanted to make the Beef bourguignon fork tender. My husband uses this when he makes artisan breads and grilling outside. I have also used to check refrigerator and freezer temperature settings.

This has been helpful on my sourdough journey.

Only used once to temp a whole pig slow cooking over an open fire. Worked out great and performed exactly as it is supposed to work.

When we walked around a car show on a sunny afternoon with our dog, I noticed he walked pretty quickly. I guessed the pavement was hot, so I walked him to each grassy median as my boyfriend looked at antique cars. All of a sudden, a gentleman with an infrared gun announced to everyone that the temperature of the parking lot registered a scorching 198 degrees. WOW! We won't take our dog along on a hot day like that again. Another time while heating a pizza steel in our grill, we borrowed an infrared thermometer gun from a friend just to see if we could use one to measure 500 degrees. No more guesswork, so I ordered this hito Infrared Thermometer Temperature Gun and appreciate the ease in using it. It includes 2 AAA batteries, measures 6.4" long, and has a temperature range of minus 58 - 1112 F. You can press the top left button for degrees in C. or F. Unfortunately, if you don't use this gun for several minutes, it will default back to Celsius from having originally set it on Fahrenheit. The top right button shuts off and turns on the LCD backlight as you hold the trigger, although I don't know why you'd want to shut it off. Maybe in sunlight? The Mode button allows you to adjust for emissivity when "measuring shiny or metal polished surfaces;" There's even a reference chart in the fold-out Instructions Manual. This gun does automatically shut off after 15 seconds to save battery power, but you need to remove them when you don't use your thermometer for a while. There's also a handy Low Battery Indicator. The ergonomic handle makes it easy for your fingers to grip it. All in all, I believe this hito Infrared Thermometer Temperature Gun is adequate for measuring surface temperatures. It's a bit expensive at the current price of $24.99, but the 30% off coupon helps put the cost in line with comparable infrared guns also available on Amazon.

Works as advertised, very good in monitoring my griddle’s temperature

Used it with a pizza over. Totally useless and I ruined several good pizzas by trusting it. Issued wrong, almost comical temperatures. A wall was 115 degrees at night. It also doesn't revert to ambient temperature after you stop measuring. Too late to return it. I bought another one from Amazon that works perfectly. AVOID!
