- William Stevens2023-12-28Kind of meh at cleaning
I ordered this ultrasonic cleaner for my wife's jewelry. Perhaps I have unrealistic expectations, but I put a penny in it and it didn't come out clean. However, when we put one of my wife's rings in, we could see goop coming out in the water. She wears her jewelry all the time and gets hard water spots on some things, which is what she wanted the cleaner for. The jewelry came out "cleaner" but not perfect. We definitely saw the water movement in the cleaner. We used plain water and set the timer to 480 seconds, the highest you can. For the record, I've used industrial ultrasonic cleaners before (like giant ones that a person would fit into) and perhaps that has tainted my expectations but that did indeed get jewelry to sparkle... this doesn't really do much more than a soft toothbrush and toothpaste would do. I wouldn't recommend this cleaner.
- DKB642023-10-02Cleans your jewelry really well!
Bought this to clean our dingy rings and necklaces... unit is big enough to handle a lot of small jewelry. You pour in a cup of water into the tank, followed by a small measurement of whatever jewelry cleaning solution you decide to use ( you have to purchase separately). Set the timer ( I think it sets as high as 500 seconds) and let the machine do the rest! It cleans using ultra sonic vibration... you can run it through as many cycles as it takes to clean... I usually only run it through 1 cycle and it cleans fine!

It didn’t clean anything more than 70 percent and that’s after three runs. But my diamond fell out.
- Heather Hyre2023-10-14Easy to use
Easy to use. Small sized but works great. Directions are good, but doesn’t mention what type of cleaner to use. I used distilled water since I also had colored stones that needed cleaning and they can’t be cleaned in the same stuff as diamonds.
- Jan Parsons2023-10-13works great on rings and glasses
This is a great device to clean your rings and glasses. The instructions say to use distilled water, which I did, and a drop of dawn soap. Worked great. Easy to use and great results. Five stars.
- D2023-09-23Cleaned My Gals Silver Rings, a Coin I tested
It's a basic ultrasonic cleaner. We used larger ones to clean carbs at my shop so I thought this would be nice for home use. Im aware you can put small scratches on coins so collectors advise not to clean coins and I am aware some jewels such as opals and soft gems aren't recommended to be ultrasonically cleaned. I filled the tank with distilled water and a single drop of Dawn dish soap. I put my gals silver ring which has a large amethyst stone in the small basket, dunked it in the tank and did a 450(? I think that's the #) second cleaning. It was shinier and clean except in a few spots on the silver (under the stone area). However, these places cleaned very easy with a soft brush so I suspect the cleaner loosened the dirt and it settled back on the silver since gravity pulled it there. Either way, she was pleased with the results. Next, just to test the waters, I placed a penny of no collector value that had chunks of dirt on it into the cleaner and set it to 180 seconds. It removed the chunks of dirt, but stains remained. Eventually I'll try to fit a small engine carburetor after I clean some rock and gem specimens. Overall, it seems to work as expected. It's small, so I'm not sure a carb from a small engine would fit. I would like to have a bigger basket or multiple baskets to use up more space or to clean several items simultaneously, as I don't want items vibrating against each other or laying on the metal tank bottom as that can cause dulling from micro-scratches. I should also note, my dog doesn't care much for the sound. She didn't whine or howl, but gave me the "look" before finding a place in another room to lay down.
- Dain2023-10-19Good option for small collections and pieces
Unit works as advertised. Comes with a basket and power supply. I found the unit to be a little too small for some of my desired tasks, but for cleaning rings and earrings and similar small items it was more than up to the task. My only really negative on the unit is the way the outer molding completely covers the lip of the basin. This makes dumping used effluent without spills, drips, and messes a little complex. Thats a minor issue in the grand scheme of things.
- Gigi Duran2023-09-16Don't Use Tap Water To Clean??!
Thé instructions state NOT to use tap water in machine to clean items. So, I have to buy purified water to use this??! And.... you can't clean jewelry in plain water! The company doesn't want you to use a cleaner that may start à fire. Ammonia is in jewelry and eyeglass cleaner. So this thing will be useless to me! UPDATE: 9/23/23 I put ammonia in this to clean my jewelry. It cleaned my jewelry without a fire starting. I also used tap water to clean my eyeglasses. Again, it worked, and cleaned my eyeglasses. My CZ rings came looking like real diamonds! It's a keeper!
