    Metallica Concert? No Problem!!!!

These came in about a week ago - I picked up a pair for me and a pair for my 17 year old son. Upon ordering them I was immediately contacted by Ryan - letting me know they got my order and they would be shipping them out - and adding that if I have any problems to let him know - You see - they believe in old school customer service/satisfaction. Once they arrived, I was impressed with the case, and the fact that they came with two different buds to fit to your ears - I had to swap mine out for the second set for a better fit, my son did not. Again I was contacted by Ryan checking to make sure everything was OK with the order . . . Last night we had ultimate test of these little things - Metallica kicked off their 2017 World Wired Tour in Baltimore with Volbeat and Avenged Sevenfold as their opening acts . . . I am over 50, have tinnitus in both ears as well as hearing loss - so I was concerned about the noise levels . . . These passed the test with Flying Colors Test One: Getting a 17 year old to put these on and keep them on throughout a 6 hour show Results: Passed - He actually did take them out at the start of Nothing Else Matters - you know where it is nice and soft - He said he thought "This isn't so bad" Then they started rocking it and he was "Whoa better get these back in!" and put them back in - He said he could still hear everything and it was still an amazing show. Test two - Intermission conversations Results - Passed -I left them in during most of the intermissions between the acts - and was able to have normal conversations with my son and those around us Test three - The post show conversations Results - Passed - While a lot of the people around us were yelling to be heard over the ringing in their ears - he and I talked in normal tones - His ears weren't ringing - mine weren't ringing any more than they normally do . . . Test four - Comfort and Fit Results - Passed - They pretty much stayed on for 6 hours - I never felt them slip or feel like they going to fall out . . . and they were easy to pull out by just grabbing the tab. They also are very unobtrusive - I had to ask my son a couple of times if he still had his in because I couldn't see them . . . each time I asked he would turn his head and show me that they were still in . . . I still have one more test for them - that will come Memorial Day weekend - I will be riding over 2,000 miles on my motorcycle - which means a couple of 8 - 10 hour days in the saddle - I will see how they fit and feel, and how much wind noise they block while letting the music and conversations flow through my helmet speakers. If they pass this test, they will be permanently affixed to my bike's keychain . . . I was a little reluctant to spend $25 on a pair of ear plugs - But I am now Happy - VERY happy I did . . . *********** UPDATE June 2, 2017 ************* These are fantastic for motorcycle use!! I put just under 3,000 miles on my bike since getting these. They go in and stay in and are comfortable enough for all day use (I had to check on them from time to time to make sure they were still there). More importantly, after a long day of riding - I did multiple 350 - 535 mile days - I took these puppies out and could hear. They block out the wind noise that damages your hearing. I ride with a half helmet - My bike's communication and audio systems are routed to helmet speakers. In the parking lot, these do mute the music a bit, but on the highway - I can hear the music and communications better because they eliminate the competing wind noise that usually over powers the music. I found that my ride was far more relaxing and enjoyable with these and will use them and my helmet speakers all the time now, not just when riding two up or in groups. In the past when riding solo, I routed the music to the bike's 4 external speakers - yeah the neighborhood could hear me coming - now they will just hear me signing along off key as I ride . . . Another bonus - the case - I have had other ear plugs in plastic cases - when it goes in your pocket or sits on the bike - they get hot and bend or deform making them difficult to close and seal. This case is solid and keeps the ear plugs safe. It has found a permanent home on my motorcycle's key ring . . . Thank You Eargasm!

    High quality and effective earplugs!

I love these! I love how comfortable they are and I love how effective they are. Have worn them on airplanes, at music events, and even in loud public spaces and they’ve been very good at noise reduction. I am very pleased with my purchase.

    Edit: Fantastic company

I recently attended a Static-X and Sevendust concert wearing the Eargasm High Fidelity Earplugs. While the build quality and comfort are commendable, I found the noise reduction to be insufficient for the intense volume of a metal concert. The listing claims a 21-decibel reduction, but the box states 16 decibels. In the high-decibel environment of a metal concert (often exceeding 110 decibels), the 16-decibel reduction proved inadequate for my comfort and safety. The audio quality remained clear, but the overall noise reduction didn't meet the demands of such a loud event. I appreciate the solid seal and comfort these earplugs provide, and the carrying case is a nice touch. However, having to switch to backup earplugs due to the excessive volume was disappointing. It's worth noting that I experienced ringing in my ears after only a few songs. While the additional $10 for a strap is a downside, the main drawback is the earplugs' limited noise reduction capabilities in high-decibel environments. If you're looking for reliable hearing protection at loud concerts, you might want to explore other options. Edit: Eargasm reached out to ask if I was interested in trying some of the high DB filters which would provide increased noise reduction. They sent these to me and I tried them out. They still weren't exactly what I was looking for as, and when passing this feedback along to Eargasm they let me know they had refunded my entire purchase. Although these earplugs may not be the right ones for me, I have to say that I fully support this company. They have been very receptive to my feedback and have helped me troubleshoot, and in the end when we weren't able to get the product working quite the way I needed it to, they refunded me. It's very rare to see a company truly stand by their product and have their consumers backs. For this reason, I have changed this review to 5 stars, and will be willing to give them a chance again in the future if they were to release a new model or earplug.

    Supple, effective and stylish!

I bought a blue pair in November 2020 (for $36) and used them at a loud workplace for a few weeks and they held up okay! They were easy to insert and fairly comfortable and filtered out mid-high frequency noises, allowing me to work in relative quiet and still easily hear my male coworkers and other people with deeper voices. It took about a week to fully adjust to them as they kept coming loose at first, but once acclimation started it was smooth sailing from there. I would clean them with a tissue and isopropyl alcohol every week but even then that seemed too light; if I bought similar earplugs again I would alternate between two pairs and clean them weekly, but the experiences of the consumer may vary. Nonetheless for being handy and sold at a great price, the “Eargasm High Fidelity Earplugs for Concerts Musicians Motorcycles Noise Sensitivity Conditions and More (Ear Plugs Come in Premium Gift Box Packaging) - Blue” get a respectable 4/5 stars!

    Saving my hearing

Although the length at which I have to use them daily is lengthy, they help reduce the sound and are saving my hearing. Portable and have a keychain for storage and variety of sizing make it a good fit for every ear. Value for the money is totally worth it.

    So much better than Loops!!

A few months back I finally got myself some (Loops) noise reducing ear plugs, and I loved them ), sort of almost, for as long as I could wear them. But I just couldn't wear Loops very much for two main reasons: 1. uncomfortable air pressure feeling that eventually messed with my equilibrium, not dizzy or nauseated, but always the feeling like I was going to be, AND 2. Internal head sounds were extremely amplified. Chewing, breathing, heartbeat, everything in my body was suddenly unbearably loud, especially my own voice just booming into my ears Eargasms earplugs fixed all of that and more. • No uncomfortable air pressure. • Nowhere near the amplification of internal sounds (there's a little, but I don't have the overwhelming sense of auto-misophonia). But not only that, I can hear CONVERSATION. I can be WALKING AWAY and hear someone talking to me and NOT the music playing on the stereo next to them. With Loops, I was constantly having to take the plugs out anytime someone talked to me. With the Eargasms, I just have to notice and tune in. It lets medium volume, medium range voice-tyoe sounds in and filters out the loud stuff and the background stuff. This was what I was needing in the first place.

    Very Good Fit

I was skeptical if they would work, I have tried others in the past and they either didn’t seal properly, didn’t allow me to hear the music, or allowed way too much noise in. It should be noted that I ride a Harley with loud pipes and a full sized helmet. These things are amazing! Not only can I hear the music clearly but also the pipes and engine minus the ringing afterwards. Definitely a great product and they don’t fall out. Only thing left to see is how my ears feel after a long ride with extended usage.

    Not a huge fan

They work to a certain degree but to me it just makes me feel like I have a clogged up ear. The size was good and the case def helps but I would def suggest getting something with an attachment in case they drop

Didn’t even get to use it 😭🤣

I got tickets to see ADTR on June 29th and since I got pit tickets, I ordered these bad boys for it. IT ARRIVED A DAY EARLY - which was so awesome! I got it all packed and ready…the day of the concert, my friend’s friend told me to change bags bc the venue would tell me my current one is way too big. So, naturally, I switched all my necesseties in to the smaller, fannypack sized bag (wallet, granola bar, chapstick and lipstick, phone — car keys were left at the friend’s house). Didn’t even think about the earbuds, either. Funny thing is too, I grabbed my chapstick which was in the same zipper pocket as the earbuds container…I genuinely do not know how I didn’t grab it then. By the time the concert started…guess who forgot the one important item that was needed 🙃 🤣 So. I bought this item without even using it. BUT. This gives me an opportunity to go to more concerts and try it out then! I’ll give it a 4 star since it definitely muffles sound when I tried them on, however, it wasn’t a concert-environment. Lol, oh well. I’m sure these are great.

Relatively Useful in Lots of Contexts

I shopped forever before I purchased these. I go to a decent number of shows and I wanted some ear protection. These were…fine. I’m not sure what I was expecting, maybe some technological component or something. They are genuinely just little rubber ear plugs with a noise filter in them. I liked that I could still hear my friends talking at the shows, but they didn’t quite keep the quality of the concert sound the way I expected. It mostly just felt like wearing ear plugs. To compensate, I generally just wear one at shows so that the sound quality is still good, but I’m at least half protected. I did wear them recently while using a very loud wood planer, and I really liked them in that context. They were comfortable, drowned out the right amount of sound, and much better than wearing a clunky pair of headphones. I would say that overall, I am still glad that I purchased these, and while they don’t feel like anything special for the price, I do actually get a decent amount of use out of them.
