    The Protective Faraday Fabric

The modern world has become filled with electromagnetic signals such as WiFi, microwaves, and cell phones. Police often use Faraday bags to protect digital information. Consider which personal devices have necessary personal information or proprietary information, and the fabric can provide a simple way to protect key fobs of expensive vehicles, tablets, and laptops while traveling from being accessed by hackers. The Faraday fabric piece sent is quite large, and the picture shows it hanging double up on a door. Lightweight with metal impregnated in the cloth, it slides easily in the hands and gives a satisfying sheen. Pretty enough to make clothes or aprons out of to provide protection from wayward electromagnetic signals entering the body. Or simply leave it as a whole piece and fasten it to a blanket as a lining to cover computers or anything else one needs to be protected. Made a pouch out of it for the cell phone. The second project created a double piece to slide into the wallet where the dollars go to cover the credit card area of it. Criminals like to activate the RFID chip on credit cards by getting within six inches and extracting info while you make a purchase. The criminals do so with a modified card reader without ever inserting the card. Will make a lining for a tote and the laptop. The effectiveness of the Faraday cloth depends on various factors, and more than one layer may be needed to disperse all the waves. The provided Faraday tape makes creating a quick bag for use easy. Using a foil-like material to foil the criminals daily amuses me. Now, if it would only change color to alert that someone attempted to hack whatever, then you would have a complete system.

Used for prepping, works very well.

So, I got this to shield a storage bin I have. Why? I put backup spares of sensitive electronics, flashlights, and a solar bank just in case we get a solar emp or any other type of emp. No, I don't have a way to induce an emp, but even 1 layer will block all signals from RF to Bluetooth and cellular. It is instant. What is nice about this kit is the included shielded tape for your seams. With these fabrics, your seams are the most important part of the shielding. You could make several pouches for things like phones and laptops, and you should have enough tape for several. You could always use aluminum HVAC tape in a pinch if you run out. Not much else to say except the included tape measure is a nice touch. It locks out on its own so it's quite helpful.

Very Good Package of Faraday cloth and Roll Of RF Blocking Tape

This cloth was received to try to block RF coming from an electrically "noisy" HVAC motor on the other side. The RF from the motor switching (not electrical noise) was causing sensitive equipment to get "spikes" in signals. This cloth blocked the RF. Simply using thumb tacks to drape the cloth across the area that the motor was leaking the interference. Note that it is 43"x118" - it's big. If you need smaller pieces to cover something, it's easily cut/trim with sharp scissors. The roll of tape with the same faraday material is perfect for sticking on surfaces to block RF from getting past it to wires/components. 5 stars because it works, it's simple and you get the bonus roll of faraday tape. Extra bonus, a simple tape measure is in the bag.

    Just What I Needed!

I have some large items that need to be protected from an EMP attack. I have my smaller items in Faraday bags, but my solar panels needed to be wrapped and they are large. This Faraday Cloth 43”x118” with Faraday Tape Kit is just what I needed! I was able to wrap it around the solar panels and tape it with the Faraday tape so they are now protected. I tested the cloth to be sure it would block signals and it passed with flying colors. It really is military grade!! If you need to cover anything that is large, this Faraday cloth is what you need.

    Works great, love the tape.

This stuff is great and I love that it comes with faraday tape. The tape is good and strong. I tested the Faraday cloth using my EMF detector where I have some residential electrical wiring emitting pretty large amounts of EMF. Worked perfectly. Highly recommended for blocking longwave electromagnetic frequencies.

    I Prefer This Diamond Type

I see two principal types of Faraday fabric. One has a weave like a screen on a window (without the openings) and the other (this one) seems tighter and has diamond pattern in it. I feel that this type is more flexible and more likely to last after many uses getting the contents in and out again. There will be a lot of that if the item inside is something you use often and those are the first I think you need to protect. You need to get used to the notion that you should always return the item to the protection of a Faraday enclosure whenever not in use.

Very well- made and easy to work with.

This DINGBAAYEE Faraday Fabric, Faraday Cloth 43”x118” with Faraday Tape Military Grade Protection is an excellent protective method for my long-term storage of older laptops with a massive number of pictures, videos and data related to years of geological mapping, etc. and this cloths' size- is plenty big. Seems to be very well- made and with the included tape measure and Faraday tape I built a large storage bag that sealed up easily for long term protection against solar radiation bursts and possible Harrington events. Excellent Faraday cloth at a good price! Great find!

Great idea for those with Electromagnetic hypersensitivity

Electromagnetic hypersensitivity Is an increasing issue, particularly with the expansion of cell towers and Wi-Fi. For our loved ones who deal with this issue, this fabric is a great idea to help protect them and alleviate symptoms. I like the versatility of the fabric so that it can be cut or sewn to fit your exact needs.

Good for making a small box EMP resistant

I see people using this fabric to drape over things to reduce RF emissions, but if you want to block out signals completely, especially those of an EMP type, you need a complete coverage all around. This 43x118" piece is good enough for a small box, or maybe lining a backpack. You'll need larger pieces if you're making a storage enclosure for a large PC.
