This pH tester seems to be very accurate, right out of the box. It's easy to read and works great for the price! It's very water resistant, and it's making my pool a lot better to swim in!
- TJ2024-06-22Nice PH meter with case
I like this pH meter actually comes with a case. I actually have one very very similar to this and I picked up a second one just to kind of have it to match up with the other one. I had a continuous pH monitor that went out on me and I almost killed all my plants. So between the two portable units, this one and the other one I can actually compare and make sure that it's actually good. This one and the other one that I have that is like it are both like for like in their readings.

I've been using the Tawiliysy 5-in-1 Water Tester for a few days and I love using it. This versatile tool measures PH, TDS, EC, SALITY, and TEMPERATURE, providing comprehensive insights into water conditions. It eliminates the guesswork and hassle associated with traditional test strips and liquid test kits. It provides precise readings with an accuracy of ±0.01, crucial for ensuring safe water quality. The glass probe is sensitive, and the 3-point calibration ensures reliable results. The hold function allows me to lock in readings, making it easy to document measurements without fuss. Another highlight is the large, backlit LCD display. It's bright and easy to read, even in dim lighting conditions. The automatic temperature compensation (ATC) is a thoughtful addition, adjusting readings based on the water temperature to ensure accuracy. Setting up and using this tester is straightforward. The device comes pre-calibrated, and the included buffer powders make recalibration simple if needed. The convenience of having a durable, padded carrying case means I can take it anywhere without worrying about damage. Overall, this tester has made water testing quick, accurate, and hassle-free. It's a must-have for anyone looking to maintain optimal water quality in pools, aquariums, hydroponics, or drinking water. I highly recommend it!
- The Mouse Jockey2024-06-12Matches liquid test solution results
The product is strait forward to use other than I did have a little difficulty getting the temperature setting to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. The temperature reading was reasonably quick to stabilize and measured close to a Thermapen that was used as a control. The PH reading of the device was in range and likely more accurate than the liquid test solution I use for testing the pool water. The salinity setting measured close to no salt which was expected. The product design and storage case are of good quality. My one complaint is that the devices uses a bunch of pen cell batteries. This is not a common battery type in our household. A better design choice would be to use Coin cell batteries (CR2032) which are used in Thermapens, car remotes, and garage opener remotes. While this doesn't impact performance it adds inconvenience to stock another battery type in the house and the reason I deducted 1 star.
- Pikachu222024-06-08Now I can test pH quickly and easily and stop fussing with test strips
This makes testing our water's pH a breeze. I used to use test strips for testing pH -- the strips were fussy and you had to compare the color of the strip to a color chart -- it was sometimes hard to judge a color match so that method didn't seem all that accurate. This gives you an exact read out -- instantly -- no need to make a judgement call, you can simply read the display. The display has a bright back light and big digits. It's easy to read -- also it's easy to switch the "mode" and test other water variables: TDS (total dissolved solids by ppm), electrical conductivity (uS/cm), and salinity (by ppm or %). The temperature is always shown as a separate readout, regardless of the mode for other variables -- this is a nice feature. I tested the temperature accuracy against a highly accurate thermometer that I have calibrated and the temperature on this tester matched exactly. I also checked the pH against my test strips and it was in the correct range -- and I'm assuming this device is even more precise (it displays pH to two decimal points). As for the accuracy of the other measurements, I can't really say. The booklet says the device is calibrated at the factory and they also include pH buffer powders so you can do your own pH calibration. It has good instructions for this, but I didn't do this procedure since I was satisfied with the match to my pH test strips. They also give instructions for calibrating EC, TDS, and Salinity, but the instructions for these calibrations were somewhat lacking -- I'm assuming that water testing experts will be able to understand this calibration -- I'm still giving five stars because, to me, this device is worth it for the pH testing alone. Other pluses: The case is nice with solid sides and foam cutouts for the device, buffering powders, and extra batteries. Batteries are already in the device, plus extra batteries are included.
- MaggieMarie2024-06-05A more detailed manual would be nice
We live in an area where it’s a good idea to have the PH of our water tested. I ordered the Tawiliysy water meter which will test PH, TDS, EC, SALITY, and TEMPERATURE. The meter, 3 packets of PH buffer powder, four extra batteries, and an operations manual all came in a padded, heavy plastic storage case. If you are new to water testing the operations manual is not much help. The meter does work. The operations manual says that the meter is calibrated at the factory. It also says, if the PH calibration is wrong, please reset. What does reset mean? Recalibrate? How do I know if it’s wrong. I tested our water and a bottled water for PH. The meter shows a difference which I expected it would. Our water tested at a higher PH than I expected. The meter gives a reading for the other tests. I just don’t know if they are accurate. We are having our water tested professionally. I’ll compare when those tests are back. If needed, I’ll use the PH buffer powder to recalibrate the Tawiliysy. The meter is easy to read. There are three buttons on the meter. On/off is obvious. It would be really great if there were a better explanation of how to use the other two.
- BROCIO2024-06-20Tested My Patience More Than PH
When I first opened the box for this PH Test and nutrient calculator, I was impressed. The quality seemed a lot better than others I have used. I read the instructions and it said it came calibrated. Put in some distilled water so it should have been about 7 on the PH scale, resulting nowhere near that. After trying to use it, the best thing I can say about this PH tester was the case it came in. PROS The case Came with the calibration powder CONS Burned through the 1st set of batteries in about 5 mins Never could get it to read properly The battery area started rusting in 1 day despite the fact that I never put it in anything other than 250ml of distilled water OVERALL My experience was terrible. This is not my first one of these PH and solution testers. I’ve done calibrations before on these with no problem, but with this one, I didn’t even attempt to try and calibrate it. You can see what it was doing after I replaced the batteries (after the 1st set drained in under 6 mins).
- gthax2024-06-21Use only as a rough estimate.
I usually use the Taylor liquid drop test kits. I've read those are the most accurate. I used that to compare the PH reading on this device. The PH reading on this tester is way off compared to the Taylor test. The salt ppm reading on this meter is way off. It measured my salt level in my pool at 4200 ppm. My chlorine generator would shut down if the levels where that high. My true level is 3100 ppm. Tried calibrating using the powder. Followed the vague instructions. Took many tries for the device to respond according to the instructions. I think this tester can only be used as a very rough estimate at best. Think I'll stick with the liquid tests. Oh yeah, the case that's included is awesome.
- Nitty's Mom2024-06-19Needed for tap water & filters
We needed this meter to test for TDS because we are in the process of buying filtration for our drinking water. We did an analysis of our public tap water and it was horrible. We have been testing TDS with tap, carbon filtered water, and a few different bottled waters. The meter works great, but.... The instructions are truly baffling, totally worthless. There are 3 packets, which I assume are to calibrate the meter for 3 different functions, but who knows. I think the TDS function needs no calibration, so I think I'm fine for what I need this for. This meter seems well made and is clear to read the LCD screen. If you need this for one of the functions, it is worth the money. Would be 5 if it had usable instructions.
- 🌟 Tannhäuser Gate 🌟2024-06-21Good enough
I own 2 other brands that test PH and TDS and all are within each others acceptable range ,not exact but acceptable. Just make sure before you use to get it in working order with tests before usage. Nice case too which is a plus as many others does come with a case.
