Use it every day since I received it after my hand surgery. Great stability easy to use and glad an extra set of velcro is included. And the thumb glove is a perfect fit.

The thumb guard fits snugly, but not uncomfortably. You MUST put it on to a comfortable-ish position, and then press it to form the metal for YOUR thumb. Immediately it was comfortable. I played with the velcro to test how tight I wanted the bands to be, and to see that they cross my hand WHERE my pain is, and not where some manufacturer thinks pain might be. These are right on the dot for my hand. The liners are a plus, as they keep the plastic away from skin. The only time the palm of my hand was pinched, was when i was using the wand for my vacuum cleaner. I readjusted how I hold the wand, and all went well from there. I sat and did ink drawings for about 2 hours -- a sure way to make my thumb and forefinger HURT. I was only mildly uncomfortable in my wrist at the end of that. I spent the day, with paint brush staining, rubbin on and rubbing off with rags, planting, potting, trimming, weeding, hand watering, all day. I was able to open containers, without help or contrivances!!!! And I spent the whole day working without stopping every few minutes to shake my hands and groan in pain -- the first time in YEARS. Tonight, I took them off before supper, to let my hands rest on their own for the evening, and I set the thumb braces and liners (I purchased right and left handed) to soak in warm mild soapy water. They came nicely clean and are drying on a towel overnight. These may not be the best on the market. They may be the first in a long line of experiments for this style thumb braces. For today, they passed a huge test. I will keep them and use them daily, with great appreciation for their assistance, and for the joy of being able to do much work without pain. I will see how they last - they do come with replacement velcro bands, so I do expect them to wear out at some point. This BEATS the typical thumb/wrist brace, hands down. There is full mobility, and none of the heat and irritation of being splinted into rigid place. They are much better than my gel braces, which hold dirt and sweat against my skin, for alleric reactions. For me, today, they are worth the price of even one lovely work day. I hope they last LONG. UPDATE: Day 3 - terrible storm damage on our street. All day work with leaf blower, raking, chainsaw, clippers, hauling, carrying, pulling and pushing. Working with the leaf blower was not terribly comfortable, but that big machine in small hands never is. I simply switched hands more often. With the small chainsaw, my thumb went a bit numb from the pressure of holding and pressing and maneurvering with the saw against the brace. BUT!!!! I did NOT have arthritis pain issues! I was able to work for 6 hours WITHOUT my thumbs screaming in pain from those 2 large thumb joints, or getting cramps from the big stiff brace. It's miraculous! The grime washed right out of the velcro and the little elastic layer. So I'm happier than I was at the first usage.

I purchased another brand online as suggested by my orthopedic specialist. Cost was $100 and they wore out in a few months. The strap was not removable. The ones from Amazon not only fit better but you could remove the strap to clean and there is a spare one as well. Going on 3 months with no real signs of wear. Changing out the straps on a regular basis will preserve them. One note: the lettering on the strap came off not too long after purchasing but it was after wearing in a very harsh work environment and washing them.

Based on their chart, I chose a medium size that fits well. It seems good in supporting my thumb so far, but it came with missing the replacement parts. The seller sent the missing part to me. They feel comfortable when I do not use my thumb, but it hurts when I start using my thumb. Times will tell if it will work on my thumb. I will keep updating my review.

It has straps that you can replace. The brand that is $80 more has no such feature. I do own the more expensive one, and I actually prefer the comfort of this one.

This was painful. Could not use. Returned.

I like this brace because it fits my thumb perfectly and is minimal compared to other supports I've tried. I measured and ordered according to my measurements so their size charts are right on. I have a swollen and painful CMC joint and this put slight pressure on it. It is not limiting but helps to reduce joint movement. You can also adjust the small metal strip around the thumb with pressure to make it fit even better. No one seemed to mention this in the reviews I read and feel it is a small but important detail to customize fit. After wearing it for the first day, my thumb felt better, less pain. You get an extra strap, too. I highly recommend!

Poor fit and made deep red mark at base of thumb after barely 10 minutes of wearing. Also too restrictive - cannot wear while doing tasks. Did not provide any relief.

This is a decent item it support my thumb joint but it gets a little discomfort between my thumb and forefinger if I wear it all day however I don’t need to ware it all day it’s great when worn for a few hours, it target the lower thumb joint which is what I need.
- Sunny Larson2024-03-19Unfortunately didn’t work for me.
I had high hopes and at first this seemed to help my aching thumb but over a few days it started to make my problem worse and was causing irritation on my skin. I did not like the hard plastic, I wish it was all rubber. It may work for some but wasn’t for me. Overall the product is well made as far as quality goes and I would recommend at least giving it a try. It is a bit pricy for what it is though.
