Nice quality sheet. I needed this to make custom cushioning gaskets between ceramic light sockets and hand-blown glass shades for them. Was very easy to cut with an modeler's knife.

When I ordered this silicone rubber sheet, I was thinking about cutting it into pieces to wrap around cup handles for glass cups which will be heated for various craft projects. I'm actually glad it's too thick for that. The mat I received measures 12 inches long by 12.25 inches wide by 3mm thick. It's a great size for a few things for me, so I may be ordering more. It's a perfect size to put under my serger to keep it from shaking the table when I'm sewing. It would also work under my 12 inch square heat press or for a small pressing surface when I'm cutting and ironing quilt blocks. Likewise, when I'm using my small hot knife, this makes a great protective mat to put on my table to prevent the hot knife from burning it. I like the fact that this sheet can be rolled up and easily carried. It could go with me to my quilting group and be paired with my smaller, travel iron. This silicone rubber sheet has a lot of potential uses whether cut or left whole.

I was needing something to place under a tabletop bug catcher, so I saw this and ordered. It arrived rolled but with a protective film so that it did not stick to itself. The sheet is only 12"x12" and is thick (1/8"). It is a whitish translucent color but somewhat opaque as well; laid flat after unrolling. There are many uses for a smooth small silicone sheet that may come into play in various circumstances. This sheet could be cut if needed, but I decided to keep the 12" square size since the base of the Item I was putting upon it was 8". I may experiment and cut off a strip to it to wrap around a pipe where there is a piston action that makes a noise when it butts into the metal since silicone when wrapped onto itself sticks pretty well.

I do molding using concrete and plaster of Paris. This silicon sheet makes a great base for molds. It releases easily and is very durable. It should be good for hundreds of pours. I am very happy with the quality of this product.

The 1/8" thick sheet is quite stiff and offers a significant padding on a surface or between parts. The thicker sheet doesn't stretch much and is still easy to cut if needed. As a vibration reducer between parts, it seem to work well - some isolation without being too soft and not holding the tube tight (I need it to stay in place but not be metal on carbon fiber). Seems very tough durable

Thrilled at the quality of this silicone sheet. I'll be using it as a backing material for a heat sealer, and it's holding up very well to temps of around 300ºC. It was extremely easy to cut but is definitely tear resistant, perfectly soft without being like jelly. Great material, what you're expecting is what you'll receive!

The sheet comes with no packaging to speak of, it’s wrapped into a clear polyethylene plastic similar to what you may have in your pantry. That’s fine by me. There are a number of applications where heat-resistant, flexible product like this can be fitting, I used it to make a shim for a hardware mount and it worked very well. If you are not looking for specific thickness you probably can find a better price on Amazon. Here you can select the thickness you need, from 0.8 to 6.35mm, and if you’re OK with the price you will not be disappointed.

This translucent silicone rubber sheet is an interesting material. It is easy to see how it would be useful in the thinner thicknesses to make gaskets and protective pads. However, I chose the 1/8-inch-thick sheet for its non-marring heat resistance characteristics. I am using it as a versatile work area pad at my solder station. It excels in this purpose. The sheet is smooth on both sides and one side has a thin protective film on it. I cut out a 6” rectangle for my work area pad, which was easy to do with a ruler and razor blade on a cutting block and leaves me with some remaining sheet for other purposes. With such an intriguing material, it will take me a while to determine some of the nifty situations it can be used for. This is a cool material that I am glad to add to my material stash.

This is a great lightweight solution for protecting your counter or floor when using a small radiant heater. While the heater is advertised as safe without protection I wanted to be sure because my wife will be using it alone sometimes. This silicone mat gives me peace of mind that there won't be a fire caused by the counter or floor catching fire from the front of the heater. The size is just perfect and the thickness options gave me the ability to choose which one I thought was ample. When not in use it is lightweight and rolls up to store in the cabinet. Cheap fire insurance that doesn't take up much space.
