This is a vine review meaning the product was provided to be reviewed. This product is a battery-operated multi-field EMF meter. It is packaged in a decorated cardboard box suitable for gifting if wrapped. There are some very detailed reviews of this product, but if you are short on time, let me sum things up: Pros: 1. Plug n’Play: This device is so easy to operate that instructions are not needed. Hold down on the power button to turn on, then press the function button to select Radio frequency radiation, magnetic radiation, or electrical radiation, and you’re ready to go! 2. Red, yellow, green displays makes radiation evaluation a breeze. 3. Digital numeric signal strength meter provides radiation level when you are ready up your game to evaluate radiation by signal strength. 4. Audio indicator for the visually impaired. 5. Mute button for the non-visually impaired. 6. Sensitive enough to read electrical field strength in an extension cord. Also reads RF radiation from microwave ovens, wi-fi routers, and cell phones. 7. Replaceable batteries. With so many products having soldered-in-place rechargeable batteries limiting product life, it is refreshing to find a product that uses ordinary AAA batteries. This product will never become obsolete due to old Lithium batteries. As a bonus, three alkaline AAA batteries are included. 8. Included semi-hard case with wrist lanyard protects product so you can take it along. Cons: 1. Sensors are not omnidirectional. The top end of the product needs to be pointed at the radiation source for best reading. And that’s it. This product is a nice entry level and economical radiation meter. I am glad I ordered it and look forward to using it for many years!

Considering what I've learned about EMF’s while using this meter makes me wonder if I'd been better off not knowing (just kidding). While using this meter I've learned not to stand so close to the microwave while it's running, and a better appreciation in general about invisible forces that may potentially affect one's life. Now having said that, doesn't mean I'm running around the house unplugging everything, it just means I have a better appreciation of EMF's As a newbie, never having used an EMF meter before, required me to do a few Web searches, as I really had no way of understanding what the meter was showing me. The instructions that come with the meter will give you a general understanding of how to use the meter. But you're still going to have to do a little research and practice so you can use the meter to its full potential. I don't want to repeat what's in the other reviews, so instead I've decided I'll just relate a few observations I've made. Case The meter fits nicely in its zippered case. Its construction should protect it against normal wear and dust Construction Its plastic body is similar to other handheld testers. I find the meter neither too big or small. The screen I like as it's large and bright enough to easily see. I’ve also seen this same body on a different brand of EMF meter. It was a different color and it had a different name on it, but it was still the same meter, rebranded. Accuracy This is difficult to judge, short of doing a bench test or comparing it to a similar meter. Consequently I'll simply agree with its findings as I’m using the displayed info in a very general way and in no way would I rely upon its readings for true scientific studies. Display screen I like how the colors on the screen change in real time as you get closer or further away from an EMF source, it’s very intuitive. The flashy trident display thingy at the top of the meter looks cool, but really serves no purpose other than entertainment value. As far as the graph and the numerical displays are concerned I never use them. Mute button I like that I can mute the sound, it’s less disturbing to others, including me. Instructions A multi fold instruction sheet is included. It does a pretty good job of explaining the meter's functions and an introduction to EMF theory. FYI Keep your hands away from the top of the meter, as it negatively affects the readings, try it just to see. Something else I've noticed is how you position the meter affects its readings as well. I generally just point the meter at whatever I wish to take a reading on. Conclusion For a first time user, I found this meter easy to use and it provides me with the basic information I need to determine safe exposure distances. I would use it for an EMF baseline versus a calibrated scientific instrument.

Okay, full disclosure; I read the user manual multiple times but my brain see's EMF and EVERYTHING GOES OUT THE WINDOW! Because GHOST HUNTING!! Hahahaha!! This is a great multi-functional meter! It does show the levels of safe magnetic fields. Worried about that Microwave radiation? Check it with this meter! The manual itself says that this meter is able to detect levels of AC Magnetic Fields, Electric fields, High-Frequency (RF) radiation. This can be used to detect and evaluate the impact on the human body of the aforementioned detectable fields. These fields can be man made, but they are also natural in the environment. And some of them do reach harmful levels for the human body. This has a meter that shows you how much is in the environment at the moment, and if it is within safe levels or dangerous levels for anyone to be in. This has an auto-off and a cancel mode if you want it to remain on during idle times. To turn it on you DO need to hold down the power button for a couple of seconds. To switch modes you press the FUNC key until the setting you want or need is selected and active. You can turn on or off the Alarm as well as several other things! You can keep track of all of this viz the very large and easy to read LCD screen! Everything updates in real-time so no need to wait time to get the readings! They are instant! This is a very useful item! And it kept bouncing on the readings as I had the meter near my 5G cell phone. And don't forget about the funnest part of using this in October! GHOST HUNTING!! Have fun with the family and friends!!

Got it to see how many and how strong some of my living areas might be with EMF or RF or .... Particularly the bedroom for sleeping area and the kitchen if we have on the microwave and if my wireless router is far enough away from where I sit at the computer to afford me some peace of mind that I'm not getting constantly zapped. Did find two safe places in the kitchen to stand while the very old microwave is turned on doing it's thing. Have to get farther away from it than I thought! Then, the wireless router has a piece of foil between it and me and that takes the level down to the green zone on the meter for where I sit. Was surprised at some of the levels of the things I use and that I might be reacting to those items for sleep disturbance, such as heating pads and some plugged in cords near the bed that I hadn't been suspicious of, but that give off a lot of frequency. Good or bad, don't know but I'm trying to reduce my exposure levels overall and not negate my grounding efforts and equipment. I like that it has the colors and the sound with the meter, makes it easier to see what is going on around me. Outside the colors don't show in the sunshine, but the sound does, so I can get an idea of what is going on with our smart meter and then measure inside the house to see if it is coming our direction or if our baffles are effective. Glad to have this without getting into super details (unless I want to start looking up what levels the emf gang says are safe or not per their research) This meter gives me enough quick information to make decisions on what I want to use or not or where to be sitting to lower my exposures in general.
- Mr. E2024-07-04Detects radio frequencies
The detector is pretty interesting to use. I like that they provide the batteries needed to start using it right out the box. I have tested multiple sources and the detector has set off alarms for bascially each device I have tested. Microwaves show RF and magnetic fields, phones RF, wifi routers RF, indoor air cleaners Electric field, USB charging hubs electric fields, and others. There is audible tone that changes when it gets a high reading, you can mute it if you like. There is a hold function to hold the current reading. You can also put it on max setting for maximum detection. I like the case they provide and it does come with a pretty decent paper of instructions to explain the functionality. I think having an understanding of non-ionizing radiation would be helpful with this type of tool, since all 3 fields that this device detects are non-ionizing radiation. Overall I think it can be a useful and fun device and could be a educational tool as well.

We bought this to test how EMF radiation may be affecting us throughout our house. However, my wife noticed a co-worker who would stand right in front of a microwave oven waiting on his food to heat up. So she took this detector to work and was able to show him how far away he should be standing. She had told him before, but that didn't really make much of an impression on him. But the detector got his attention. When it lit up red, my wife said it was obvious to him that he needed to take a bit of caution. As for accuracy, I have a tri-field meter that I have used for years. I've found that while this meter isn't quite a stable as my tri-field meter, it gives you a good idea. It tends to jump around a bit, and I don't think I'd rely on it if it was a critical situation. But for something just to manage the radiation in and around your house, it works fine.
- AmazonFan132024-07-15Awesome tool!
This tool is awesome! I love how there are the 3 different detector modes: EF, MF and RF. It is a really easy to use tool to switch between the different modes. I was relieved that the only strong readings were from the antenna end of my cell phone and not in my kids' bedroom (that is above the wifi). I like how the color changes to yellow for medium and red to high when it detects higher levels. Overall I like having this tool for peace of mind!
- John2024-06-18Good tool to have for testing EF, MF, RF
Kind of a good tool to have to find out how bad the RF leak is with the microwave. Also, tested how much RF I'm being exposed to in my office where I have the WIFI router and multiple computers. Another practical use for it is checking the shielding of data cables. I found a few cheap USB cable that I had purchased not having any shielding. Whereas all the expensive USB 4 cables were all perfectly shielded. The MF detector work a little weird to me. It only detects MF when you pass the tool over magnetic field. Holding it still over a magnet will result in the tool beeping once and then go silent. Not sure if this is how a MF detector supposed to work or I maybe have a defective tool for MF detection.
- Kelly and Hank2024-06-18Works quite well
Comes with everything you need. Works well detecting multiple EM fields. I do wish it was rechargeable. Would recommend.
