I wasn't sure what to expect, but this little beauty really shines! It has several modes, crosshairs, vertical lines, and horizontal lines that auto level, and then it has a manual mode to produce angled lines. as you can see from the photo, the laser lines are very bright. the included tripod and accessories make this a complete leveling solution for indoors and out.

This is a solid laser that gets the job done. The added tripod and magnetic mount really extends the ways in which to use the level. The laser is bright and crisp enough, even at 60 feet away. The self-leveling feature takes the guess work out of everyday stuff. I like how the cage feature (that secures the level when not in use) also serves as the on/off control - this saves me from forgetting to cage it, and it makes it dead-simple to quickly get right to work. This kit does rely on AA batteries, for better or worse. I would rather have something USB rechargeable. The tripod is a great addition - the connections are mostly plastic, but it has all the extra features, like a hook to hang weights and a quick release mount. It has rubber feet, so it's safe to use indoors, and it's very compact, too. The magnetic mount is mostly plastic, but works fine and the magnets are strong. And, it is very handy to be able to make fine height adjustments.

I was tired of borrowing my husbands construction grade laser leveler every time I wanted to do a little home decorating, so I ordered myself this to keep in the house. It's super easy to setup and use. I had it up and working in no time and it saves a lot of hassle when hanging artwork, etc. Would also be helpful for construction, landscaping, or any other similar project.

Affordable laser level with tripod, however, if you've spent any time doing photography (or using tripods) you'll realize pretty quick this tripod is super cheap. Good news is, their tripod is not proprietary, so this level will connect to most tripods. This laser has a very simple system in terms of function, so it's not difficult to operate. Only issue I ran into is I could not get the laser to read level when angling the unit up, perhaps I am doing something wrong, or the laser is not designed to function that way. I'll do some more testing and try to update. Either way, this laser leveling system should work well with projects at home.

for the price this really cant be beat. not sure if harbor freight has a version, but I would assume this would be a close tie. It works great even outdoors, I used it to install my deck and level the posts. A bit hard to see green in full daylight on a treated 4x4 but I made do! 3xAA batteries lasted the entire job so no complaints there. I didnt use the magnet function, only the tripod and the accesories.

I replaced a 4 laser leveler with this one. It took so long to set it up and place it I stopped using it quickly and went by eye - ooops. This works very well, the stand is easy to set up, the lights are very bright and it works wonderfully. Three different light patterns (vertical, horizontal and crossed) Different modes - self leveling and manual and different brightness's and even the tripod is solid and easily setup. All-in-all a great tool and now I can at least hang things once and get it right.

I had a laser level with the "spinning" type for elements, it was infuriating to use. I spent more time getting it level than actually leveling. With this pendulum based laser I can be a few degrees off and it will still level. The green line is plenty bright for inside work, workable outdoor. When it is out of level it will flash. Took a star off because it came with a corner bead mount, but like most of the cheaper lasers the magnets are not strong enough to hole through the drywall and onto the metal corner bead. Also it uses "AA" batteries, this is great, I can always find some "AA" batteries and I don't have to worry about chargers.

This is a well made leveler. I love how it comes with all the necessary attachments and accessories to finish a job. The laser leveler is accurate and super easy to use. We were able to measure a 1000 sq ft room with ease. The laser reached across a 40 feet span and was bright and accurate. There's really no wrong in buying this device for your work.

I have a little palm-sized laser level that I've used for years. It's very helpful but only spans a small space. This level is super--I can use it to hang things high on the wall at a short distance, and both my hands are free when I work. I didn't know until now how much I needed this.
