- TJNII2024-06-09As expected, wires are supple
Have had these a couple days, been using them to bench test some module boards. No issues. Connectors are as expected and the wires are supple, as you want from the test lead.

The only negative is the grabbing end of the clips will bend easily. I've used these plenty of times and they are well worth the money. I plan to get another set.
- Shawn2023-10-20nicer than I expected
relatively positive capture, the only thing I would really want is more colors

First off, what these are: They are tiny probes with very thin wires meant for low voltage, low current testing. I am using these successfully on up to 25 volt current running at about 0.2 Amps...so about 5 watts for short periods of time. The wires appear to be 22 AWG, might be 24 AWG so they should be fine for several low voltage amps for short periods of time. Grabbers are small and delicate - made for modern circuits where components are tiny. I am using these on 1970's vintage equipment and they are making life much easier as the standard hook-probes are just too bit to get into some of the small spaces I have. Each grabber has two lead hookups. The hookup wires are not very long, but insert into the grabbers tightly. I use two grabbers for each lead - one for the circuit and one on the other end to hook up a standard meter probe or hook probe, and also the oscilloscope lead. The tiny grabber end point creates a loop around a wire or lead - you push in to get the two grabber leads to extend, put it on a wire, then release and it pulls inward forming the loop. It the wire or lead you are trying to grab is too large the grabber will fail to hold. Again, these are tiny probes made for small electronics. Using these has greatly sped up my testing as I can get to many leads the standard hook probes were just too big for. I can see I will be owning many sets of these so that I can leave probes in place while testing elsewhere.

I received this today and put it right to work. The DuPont leads fit snugly into clips and don't fall out--could be a little longer--but this design allows you to use your own if really need longer leads. I am using it with a very inexpensive Sigrock compatible logic analyzer and got good results. A couple of nice touches: it includes labels for each lead--a small anti-static wrist strap--and surprisingly good quality silicone Duponts...while its too soon to really judge durability--it appears to be fine...

it useble but not all the wire is locked as it designed, but some of them yes
- Rob2023-06-27Great Kit!
As advertised. These did the trick for me. Nice to not have to solder every connection. I usually solder pigtails and use these to connect from there. Easy to use with FTDI or other PCB headers.

I have used these jumper wires with mini-grab hooks for several months. They are holding up well and work for my home office lab setup for work. Having been an engineer for 30+ years, I've used lots of various connectors and clips ranging from horrible to very good overpriced ones. I find this to be a value option with reasonable quality, especially for what I need and use them for. Since this purchase was on my dime, I'm happy with them and have several other Goupchn offered products.
- Paul2022-04-27Great test clips! More colors would be nice.
These clips are great. I find that they hook on to the legs of integrated circuits securely without causing a short circuit. Much better than the flimsy "single hook" style of similar mini-grabbers. The leads are about 12 inches in length. I thought that would be a problem (short length), but it isn't. Using an inexpensive logic analyzer with these 12 inch leads, you can hook on to points that are as much as 24 inches apart. The labels (L0, L1, L2... GND) are very helpful. I also like the silicon insulated wires (flexible as opposed to stiff). So far, I haven't had any problems with the leads falling out at either end. So, almost five stars. One suggestion for improvement: when I'm using these clips to debug a logic circuit, I'd prefer 10 unique colors as opposed to two of each color.
- Abe2021-07-06Better and worse than Tektronix
The Tektronix SMG50 clips are my favorite style, so I tried out these clones. The gripping end seems better, and works very well at gripping chip pins, etc. The wire end doesn't grip the wire as well, though. I wish it were slightly tapered inside or otherwise better at holding onto the wire. They just fall out easily. I bent the pins towards one side a little in the hope their springiness would hold the wire in place, but it doesn't work well.
