These are a good value on replacement Type C cartridges, about 33% less than OEM Type C. No smell, seem nice and clean and honestly, I think these have a bit more activated carbon in them than the OEM's have. The Blue filter pad is nice and thick as well. I would definitely recommend these, but remember to rinse them (non-chlorinated water) prior to using.
