    Could not test everything

So what i received was a 2 in 1 tester, if you could call it that. Apparently on the back of the box there is over 15 variations of this device and the one i got simply tells you the temperature and ph level of the water, but only when you mix the included packets into the water with it, and you only get 1 packet.

Works like the higher cost one I have

Works like the higher cost one I have. SO cuts cost on the purchase of these. always calibrate when you get them and use distilled or RO di water.

Not as accurate as I hoped

This tester works but it is not overly accurate. It does help me keep my water quality good and it is easy to use. I just wish the testor performed better in the accuracy department. For the price this is not a bad water tester. Thank you.

    Works

I use this primarily fo rmy fish tank so that I can measure the overall pH of the tank, total dissolved solids, and general temperature to make sure that water quality is to par. This is really the jack of all trades in terms of pond/tank testing as I have purchased a number of testing kits that only measured one constituent at a time. This not only saves me a lot of time and money hunting for our parameters testers, but it's accurate too when measured against my manual testers at home. I think if you're going to invest in a beautiful tank, you should also invest in a tester such as this to ensure that everything is in tip top shape.

Perfect tester with all the features needed for testing water

The water tester is well-made and accurate for testing parameters for safe drinking water. Salinity, potential of Hydrogen (pH), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), and Electrical Conductivity (EC) are key parameters for the quality of drinking water. The typical parameters for drinking water are Salinity <250 ppm, pH between 6.5 to 8.5, TDS <250 ppm, and EC <1000 uS/cm. The tester comes with calibration sachets for future calibration needs. It comes with three preinstalled LR44 batteries and is ready for use. The tester is easy to use by removing the protective cap over the probes. Once the power button is pressed, the tester starts reading the parameters of the water being tested. Pressing the Mode button will cycle through the tested parameter readings. This water tester is a great value and is expected to provide reliable readings of water parameters.

Handy tool to check water quality

On occasions that I have done multi-day hikes into the back country, I have wondered about the quality of the water I was accessing locally. While I do use a filter, this provides additional assurance that it is OK. I checked it on our tap water, and it is essentially perfect. The enclosed “operation manual” is mostly a chart in tiny print that compares the various features of their product line. The product number is checked off on the box but not on the manual itself, which led to some confusion. The back page of the manual covers replacing the battery or electrodes as well as how to calibrate the PH using the included packets and 8.45 ounces (250 ml) of distilled water. I wish the manual also explained what the various readings mean, and gave safe ranges for them. While the instrument seems to do what it should, I took off one star for the lack of information.

Works great, instructions could use some work

This is my first time really using anything of this nature, so this probably only applies to people that fit in that category. I just installed a new reverse osmosis system on my cabin's well and I wanted to test the effectiveness of the system. I could see a clear drop basically all the readouts through my system versus just the softener. It seems to work well, just would have appreciated a few more explanations in the manual.

    Works well!

We got this to test our tap water vs. our water from the reverse osmosis filter. We figured it would help us know when the filters needed changed. I will say, we don't necessarily understand some of the stuff, but we didn't put much effort into looking it up either after it wasn't included in the directions. It basically tells us that our reverse osmosis unit is working well, as the TDS and salinity readings for that water were MUCH lower than those from the tap. So basically it does what we need it to, plus it will also do the temperature and a couple other things. I knocked off a star because the directions could be much better (including what some of the readings are supposed to tell you) and the chart has ridiculously small print.

    Water testing at home

Im always skeptical about my water filter at home. I used it to test the tap water vs filtered water. It definitely tells the difference in TDS between the two. It also tests for pH and salinity which I have yet to test. It came with a simple instructions but I didn't know what to do with the pH packets that were included.

    Works for my pool

Got this is measure the salt ppm in my pool during opening. I have compared it to the strips salinity and ph and the readings were consistent. This allows me to make minor adjustments with a much more accurate reading. Great for my needs.
