The bird bag comes with a rope perch, food cups, tray and mat. Outside, it's very well made and is a nice weight. I have a green cheeked conure and he fits inside easily. We don't use the rope perch because it moves too much. We have our own home made perch on a tray which fits into his carrier bags so he can be steady and not be ruffled or fall over when we're carrying him around. When the bag arrived, the plastic on the front was stuck to the edges and we had to pull it off really carefully. There are still some tiny pieces of plastic still left on the side but you can't really see it. I love the big open front because it means my bird can see what's happening outside. It's perfect for summertime and taking him on walks. There are 3 pockets to hold his treats and extra stuff in case we need anything. The tiny bowls clip on to any perch and stays put but if adding water to one of them, the water needs to be a very low amount otherwise it will spill everywhere in the bag. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the bag can easily be carried by one strap and our bird doesn't fall over. The air holes are a good size, my bird can't even poke his head through so that's a good thing. Overall, a nice extra pet carrier bags for us to have to help our bird get used to walks. His other bags he has associated with going to the vet, so we're trying to give him a different carrier to be more fun. He seems happy enough already.

This carrier is okay, but I wouldn't use it regularly. My thought was I could put my birds in here and go for a walk. I also have a baby stroller that I rigged to hold a smaller metal bar cage. In comparison to that, this has some flaws. First, there is very little ventilation besides a few holes. If you use this on a hot day, your pet will have no flowing air. It's similar to being in a hot car with the window cracked. Not the best. Second, the perch, food containers, and overall size make it suited for a tiny bird, like a finch. My green cheek conures, which are a fairly small birds, seem too big for this. Third, putting this on your back and walking, forces your birds into a constant up and down motion, which might be bad for their feet. I'll use for emergency runs to the vet and what not, but for outdoor fun, I'll pass on this.

Very cute way to take your feathered friend out for a walk! My green cheek conure has a lot of room, and of course as soon as he saw me trying to get a picture, he stepped off the rope perch! I like that it comes with little food and water cups, as well as a bottom tray. It was easy to assemble, but removing the plastic film took some time. I didn’t want to scratch the glass dome. The construction of the backpack seems very good and sturdy. It is comfortable to wear, with padded straps. There are lots of holes to have good ventilation. It’s easy to clean out with the removable tray, and just a damp cloth elsewhere. What a fun way to take my bird out for a walk or even to the vet.
- liam092024-06-04Great gift for a bird lover
This is a very clever idea to carry around your bird. I know several people that do this regularly, I am not one of them, so my usage is from a novelty standpoint. I was told that cat would not appreciate the backpack, which was a question I had until my wife answered it. So, only for birds! The clear bubble is pretty cool, kind of like a zoo effect for kids if you happen to have one of those cool birds that likes fingers as snacks and want to show it off. There is a perch and tray and I am sure whatever else you want to throw in there. This wouldn't be for a huge bird like a Macaw, but african grays, parakeets etc

I was disappointed with backpack as it was smaller than I anticipated. Don’t feel it is big enough for an African Gray Parrot as there is barely any room to move around. It is more for smaller birds.
- joe2024-06-27Could be great for non-skittish birds. Good size for conures or slightly larger birds.
This is a cool idea and could be a great and convenient way to bring your bird out with you to "explore". Unfortunately my green cheek was a bit too freaked out by it to stay in. I managed to coax her in with treats but she kept trying to find a way out by biting things. The angle of the holes also make it slightly difficult to set up the rope/stick well enough for her to balance. It's easier for them to balance when moving side to side, but the rope has to be set up horizontally so they have to try to balance with the forward and backward movements. Overall it's a nice product and provides a good amount of room for a medium sized bird. But it may take some (or alot) time to get your bird acclimated to it.

daughter loves being sneak to our bird in the bag and go for a walk. bird enjoyed it too
- unclemymy2024-04-29Plenty of room, accessible, plenty of storage.
I can't think of a better way to carry that crusty old parakeet. Plenty of room for a parakeet or conyer, or other small parrot. The rope is stable, and the included cups mount securely. A side entrance is good for entry or exit control, although the whole bubble will unzip if he's being unruly. I really like that you can unzip the bottom and remove the tray without risking an escape. One thing to note, be careful how you store the carrier - the plastic dome scratches REALLY easily. Since we like for our bird to go along, we have actually carried him in a cage to many places - this is so much better. If you're using the bird to project a salty sea-captain image, be sure to teach him a few swear words for good effect.

I'm so excited to get using this!!! It was pretty simple to set up, but if you do encounter any problems trying to figure it out, this backpack comes with step by step instructions on how to put it all together and prepare it for use. There's a vented side and pockets for treats, it comes with a posable perch and food cups (I suspect water would spill out on a walk but that's not the backpack's fault), and a removable tray in the bottom for easier cleaning. However, despite them being mentioned in the listing title, I definitely would NOT recommend this for budgies or cockatiels - I think it's crazy that the listing even mentions parakeets at all - because their little heads would almost certainly be able to squeeze out the perch holes. But it's perfect for my blue crown conure! I'm getting him used to it slowly with treats before I plan to take him out in it anywhere, but so far so good! There's a decent amount of space in there, a wide viewing window, and he liked knocking on said window with his beak. My biggest complaint about this carrier would be the plastic wrap covering the curved window when it arrives. It is SO difficult to remove fully, they seem to have actually sewn it into the backpack material when making the backpack, so it's just about impossible to remove completely, leaving little torn edges of the material around the hem. The instructions say you can carefully remove this with a 'cutter', but I'd be afraid of scratching the plastic window, which unfortunately doesn't seem very scuff resistant. Aside from that annoying plastic, I'm pretty pleased with this bag, and as long as I'm careful not to scuff up or scratch the viewing window, I think it'll serve me well for a long while!
- Summer2024-04-10Nice pack, needs a larger door.
Reviewing Kreachur Bird Backpack Carrier Travel Cage with Perch, This is a cute carrier. It’s made well. It offers plenty of ventilation. One of my birds will be less stressed because they will be able to see out but feel protected at the same time, unlike in her metal carrier, which she doesn’t feel secure in if there is a dog or cat nearby. There is a removable tray in the bottom that makes for easy cleanup and the perch is the perfect size for my birds. It is lightweight and easy to carry around. I have Red-Belly Poi’s, which are medium sized. There are a few issues I have. One is that there is fabric mesh in the doorway. My birds could tear through that and escape quickly if they got agitated or angry. That means this pack is not a candidate for taking them outdoors for an adventure (what if they see a hawk or something else that spooks them?) unless I reinforce the door. Also, the door to put them in is fairly small. It makes my male bird nervous, so he won’t go in it. My female is curious about the pack but isn’t going in it quite yet. I know her well enough to know she will go with time though. Birds are bird an da lot of birds of nervous about new and unusual items, especially tight spaces. If the door were larger, it would be easier to acclimate them to it. The opening is too small. On the other hand, the ventilation holes are the perfect sized holes for my birds or larger birds, but they might be too large for budgies or lovebirds. I’ve posted a picture showing the openings are about the size of a quarter. I am rating 4 stars, because it serves its purpose well, comes with a perch, food/water bowls and a tray. The inside of the pack is roomy and for short-lived excursions, I think it’s fine for Grey’s or smaller, IF you can get them through the door.
