    Works

Reptile Timed Fogger, Humidifier with Constant Humidity & Timing Function, 4L Reptile Mister for Reptile Tank, Remote Control/Touch Screen/Temperature & Humidity Display I ordered the fogger on June 26th and it arrived on June 28th, pretty quick, shipped via USPS, left at our front gate, arrived intact and undamaged although the box was a little soggy due to the rain. I ordered this fogger because it has the humidity sensor to determine the humidity and adjust accordingly whereas the older one that I have does not, and I am using it for a terrarium where too much humidity will cause the plants to rot. This fogger also has a larger container for water so I don’t have to check the water level every day but instead once a week, but does have a low water indicator. I don’t plan on continuous operation or even a minimal humidity level, will be set very very low. I am not going to use distilled water since our water is not that hard so we don’t have severe mineral build up and limescale. The fit and finish is nice, no sharp edge or burrs, cords could be longer but i just used an extension cord. The remote is very simple to use, modes are minimal, did not even require instructions, just cycled through the modes to figure out how it worked since I have an older one with a similar remote. Everything works fine, no complaints, giving it a 5 Star rating.

Works well, but humidity probe not accurate

I’ve been manually misting my ball python’s enclosure twice a day, which works fine for me but won’t work if I have a pet sitter who is nervous about opening the cage. This automatic humidifier machine seems like a good solution. It is easy to set up, and the directions make sense although it took me a few tries to get it set the way I wanted. You can operate this as a timer (mist on a schedule) or based on the relative humidity inside the enclosure via a probe. The tube is very expandable, so you don’t need to have the machine right beside the cage. It’s crimped like a bendy-straw, and I expanded it maybe a third of what it could extend to. I did have some trouble with getting it into position, but solved that by cutting a hole in one of the pieces of styrofoam that the machine came packed in. The styrofoam was just enough to hold the tubing in place at the wire mesh top of the cage. The included suction cups did not want to work for me, so I’m not using them. This means I also have the probe lying along the floor on the substrate, instead of fastened on the wall, but I don’t think that will make much difference. The one thing you should be cautious about: the probe does NOT give an accurate reading. I have several thermometers and hydrometers at various places in the enclosure (so I can have a warm side and a cool side for my python) and I know they are accurate as they have been calibrated. The probe for this machine is close to correct for the temperature, and I won’t rely on it for that anyway, but the humidity is off by at least ten places. It was reading 50% humidity and my others were registering 40%. Knowing this, I set the min/max for the automatic setting higher, and this seems to be working. The other thing I don’t like (and this is just personal) is that you can’t turn off or dim the display. When powered on, the front of the machine has a rotating display screen that cycles through time, temperature, and humidity readings. It is a bright white light, and since this enclosure is in my bedroom, the light is annoying at night. I cover it with a towel, but I wish there was a way to not have that light on all the time. My other timers, for heat lamps, have a constant display but they stay dim unless you touch the screen to read them. Overall this is a good system. The water tank is large, the mist is a nice fog, not water droplets, the automatic settings are good. It would be good for any reptile environment that needs steady humidity. I’m hoping this will make going on vacation easier.

    It works and is trustworthy!!

I got this fogger for my tortoise hatchling's humid hide box. Hatchlings are sensitive to humidity levels and I wanted to make sure that the humidity stayed within proper range at all times, which would be hard with just a spray bottle. Pros: -Good size water reservoir (I wont have to replace the water every day for what I need it for) -Small enough that it can fit in my tortoise's enclosure -Easy to read manual -A ton of settings that the manual explains well -Remote control (nice, but not super necessary) -Easy to clean (very important!) -Tube that lets out the humidity is bendy and can be adjusted to be small or large and certain shapes -Accurate humidity readings, I put a humidity reader thingy in the humid hide as well as the reader for this device that it comes with and both read the same -Auto-shut off when it reaches the desired humidity Cons: -The cord to the actual device is rather short and cant reach from the outlet to the table it sits in very easily. That part is annoying I will continue to update this review as I use it since I just got it last week, but so far it is amazing!!

    Reptile Timed Fogger

I got this to replace an adequate fogger for my corn snake enclosure and I was surprised by the night/day difference. The unpacking was minimal and the unit was basically ready to go out of the box. I didn't use the included hose since I already had an upgraded one I switched from the old fogger. The fog itself is the closest to a true fog I have seen; very smoke like and disperses across the entire tank easily. The programmable feature is more robust than others I have seen and gives you the option of a timed cycle or humidity which most lack. The temperature and humidity are accurate and match the readings on my high-end sensors. The probe being installed inside the tank means you will get a better representation of the enclosure versus the room conditions so you can better tune the settings for your situation. One of the biggest improvements was that unlike nearly all other foggers it actually turns on when the low threshold is reached instead of requiring it to drop five degrees below; I had a big struggle during the past winter keeping the enclosure humidity up with the older one but that shouldn't be a problem now. The only complaint is that I can't get the protective film off the display screen yet (it's stuck good) which gives it a little bit of a fuzzy look but its only a temporary inconvenience until it loosens. Definitely recommend to any reptile owner that wants to enhance or upgrade their reptile enclosure.

    Impossible to control the humidity.

We are having a hard time using this device, it puts out out a TON of fog. A massive amount and we can't get it to put out just enough to maintain the humidity we need in the tank. The fogger is not intuitive, or the instructions aren't clear enough. If you have a large space that needs humidity, 100% purchase this, but know that your better off using a controller that will cut power to it once you reach the desired humidity. It's almost as if the sensor is not registering.

Good fogger with minor gripes for my Sulcata

I ordered this for keeping our Sulcata tortoise's terrarium between 50-90% humidity at night (she's outside during the day). After ~2 weeks, here are my impressions: Overall, I like it. There are some caveats, however: 1) The humidity/hygrometer probe isn't terribly accurate (probably +/- 10%) and the temp sensor doesn't react to fluctuations very quickly. That said, for our purposes (eg a wide range of 50-90%), it should do ok for her needs. 2) I wish the hose was a bit more stout, it doesn't hold its position very well without supports every few inches. If there are dips in it, like a sink/shower p-trap, water will begin to pool up at the lowest point. At the mid-point of the dip, if the top of the hose is lower than the bottom of section to both sides of it, it can pool water and total block any mist from reaching the end of the tube. We learned that on the 2nd day and had to ensure that the hose was shaped like an upside-down "U". That way, there's nowhere for water to pool - it'll either run down into the machine or out of the end of the hose. In my attached images, there are 2-zipties holding the hose to the lid. The little dip, just to the left of the ziptie on the right, was where the hose had dipped and filled with water, preventing fog from flowing. 3) It runs very quietly! I like that about it! Would I order this again? Yes. We're fairly new to tortoise ownership and we can't really tell if our little gal (3.5 years old in the pics) enjoys it, but it gives us peace of mind, knowing we're doing what we can to keep her happy and comfy!

Great for both reptiles and plants

The shipping process for this fogger was impressively quick, and I appreciated that there was minimal packaging and thus minimal clean-up. Setting up the fogger was pretty easy, as the design is fairly self-explanatory and user-friendly. One of its standout features is the flexibility it offers; you can either set it to operate on a timer or use the included humidity and temperature sensor to maintain a precise humidity level automatically. I got this fogger to help my gecko, who has been struggling with shedding, and I am very happy to report that it has been effective. The consistent humidity it provides has made a noticeable difference. However, I do have one minor complaint: I would prefer if the unit could be mounted on the side of the tank rather than having to place it on the floor or a table. Despite this, I find it manageable and not a significant issue. Overall, this is an excellent humidifier, and I am very satisfied with its performance so far.

So much better than my last!

First, I want to mention that I am using this for hydroponics. It works great. Provides a great amount of fog that completely fills my little greenhouse. The greenhouse is 30x50x20 and this does a great job! The timer is new to me. My last one didn't have one and I had to turn it on and off each use, each day. So convenient that I can set and forget this. Timing intervals are awesome! All the way from 10 minutes to 7 days! That's amazing. My favorite part is how this fills from the top! I no longer have to lift the barrel out of the housing, anxiously might I add, hoping I don't somehow spill water everywhere when placing it back! Another thing is the sizing. Although it's still a decent size, It's much more compact than the last and can fit into my greenhouse! Also the tubing actually fits in and stays in the top. No popping off if you so much as look at it the wrong way! AND the top swivels which is so convenient! So you can place the tubing in any location or move it around if needed with no issues at all. The remote is also an added feature, although not necessary with the timer function thankfully. However it does work great and this does have a manual function say you need to use it at some other random time. This is a really good fogger. It's made of pretty high grade durable material. Easy to move around, and just so much better to deal with than others I've had.

    Nice, but,,,

Unit works well. Instructions are not great. But figured it out on my own. Great programming options. Price maybe little high which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Other than that works great.

    So far so good

Was having issues with humidity in my Ball Python's large enclosure. Hopefully this helps get and keep it up better.
