The Snake Catcher Hook Stick Tongs Catch Grabber Tool Kit is a straightforward and effective solution for handling snakes safely. The long pole provides ample reach, allowing you to maintain a safe distance while capturing snakes or other elusive creatures. The tongs are well-designed, providing a secure grip without harming the animal. It's a must-have tool for anyone dealing with wildlife or in need of safe snake handling equipment.

At work, I end up being the guy they call to remove snakes. I already keep a set of folding tongs in my work car, but my hook doesn't collapse. Glad to get this one, because now it all fits so easy. The light is... eh... never really saw a need for that and I honestly thing having an attachment that close to the end is a bad idea. So I left that off.

I think the added bonus of a mounted flashlight is unnecessary. However, this telescopic snake stick is perfect for scientific use as well as for the professional snake handler and the private enthusiast. It is very light in weight and incredibly durable. It provides any handler with the safety necessary to protect the snake and oneself simultaneously. It is intuitively designed and performs on par with any other snake stick on the market. I’ve owned several in my life and this one pleases me very much. My only critique for improvement is that I wish it were a little longer- possibly measuring closer to 7 feet. Some snakes are quite able and willing to climb over their bodies when provoked. A near perfect snake handling stick this is but if you are handling high-risk or venomous snakes one must always use the utmost caution.

Easy to use, effective at its job. Made of good-quality materials, with a mesh that’s sturdy and fine enough to prevent any losses.

I wouldn't go wrestle a rattle snake but any non venomous withing reason size would be a nice addition to tools for them bitty ones

I'm actually pleasantly surprised on this purchase. I do a lot of reptile removal in my area and could use one of these so I bought one. Figured it would be subpar but it's excellent! I might buy a few more just to have the handle. The end has a threaded bushing and you could match the threads and make other attachments for it. Handle is fairly solid and easy to operate. The bag is nice and well made. Light weight. Durable. I like the drawstring around the midsection of the net. Will make bagging up rattlesnakes much easier.
- Drewnaciouschild2024-06-03You can't fully collapse it with the light attached
I ordered this as an accessory to my snake grabber tongs. I didn't realize how much shorter it would be. The measurements are listed so I'm not deducting any stars for that. But I did deduct one star for the fact that the light attachment keeps you from fully collapsing it. It attaches with allen screws so unless you carry an allen wrench with you, you can't detach it. It would have been better if the light attached a different way or at the least used knurled screws that you could loosen and tighten with your fingers.
- TheMicrocat2024-06-17Very nice net!
This net is deep and is made from soft material so any scaly critter you catch in here won't get torn up. Love the depth of the net, which makes it great when moving hots. Looks to be made very well and I haven't had any issues using it so far.

This is so light weight, one could easily wonder if sturdiness is compromised, I cannot say for sure either way. Certainly is much easier, safer and practical than the 'grab a stick' and bare-handed handling methods. I've taken a few snake bites, fortunately none by venomous snakes, but it still hurts like heck - and then some. Just last summer I had a snake up in the yard the dogs were wanting to fight with, if not that one, it's just a matter of time before there's another. I've no desire to harm them, I love snakes, this makes relocating them so much easier and safer for both of us. 30 bucks isn't too high a price for a useable tool; even if it sees service only once, it will be worth it to have saved 1 life, snake, dog, or person.
- Graej2024-05-21I'd like to be a bit farther from the snake when I scoop it up with this thing..
This is a nice kit for those of us who live in the woods and end up with a copperhead between us and the door. Only issue is that it is not very long. Other than the potential injury or death from attempting to use this product, its pretty solid and comes with a mountable flash light. I think might stick with my 22..
