Had ninety four year old grandpa put this together for us... he said great directions and pretty easy to put it together. We agreed it wouldn't be very hardy for outdoor use and that was our original plan. My hope was to use this as shelter for a temporary pen on our lawn so they can graze. We tried it out with a few bunnies and it held them fine and they loved the top bunk. It was easy to catch them by simply lifting the lid. It is roomy enough for a couple of rabbits and they seem to like it. The price makes it a reasonable option for your critters - it would be perfect for indoors. The trays are nice and fit well - easy to clean. Our rabbits did munch on this as rabbits do. I will use it outside while the weather is nice. Overall it is a nice pen. Everything lines up and my only suggestion is to use larger screws on the casters as we lost one right off. One thing to consider if you are thinking of using this like a rabbit tractor, if you pull the tray out for grazing there is a gap at the bottom that would likely be big enough for them to go under so it would need to be inside a pen. I love the latch, but I mostly love the price. If they are going to market as an outside hutch they need to come up with a cover for the open side.

I built this hutch all by myself. My husband wanted to take over the job, but I was having too much fun. The assembly was easy, even if a little time consuming. The instructions were on point, but I did have to refer myself to the picture of the actual product to make sure I was using the correct side of things. The most important part is that my bunnies love it. It took them a few minutes to get used to the texture of the floors, but they just love it. I love that I have a few access points to get my bunnies out if I want to. I mean, we must have cuddle time every day, don't we.
