    Great for EDC

This is a review of the Nitecore MT1C Pro EDC flashlight. This is a little powerhouse of a flashlight. It can deliver up to 1000 lumens. It is lightweight and small enough that I can easily carry it in my pocket using the clip. The battery that comes with this flashlight is rechargeable and comes with it's own USB-C cable.

    Another quality light from Nitecore

I own a number of lights from Nitecore and am very happy with every one of them. This one caught my eye because it's a very convenient size and uses a standard sized battery, 18500, that is interchangeable with many of my other lights. What I really like about the battery it came with is that it has USB C charging built right into the cell itself. This cuts down on the size of the light and means there's no USB port on the flashlight body to worry about water or dust intrusion. I would love to see more companies include batteries like this instead of standard cells that need an external charger, or building the charger into the flashlight body. As for how well it works, well it's bright af. I believe the 1000lm rating. The beam isn't adjustable but it is a nice tight pattern with very good long distance throw. It has a round beam, not the square one that cheaper lights do because of their square multi-chip LED. The body is very well made, with a recessed tail button, springy clip and grippy texture. The clip is a bit sharp around the edges and can dig into your hand if you squeeze it too tight, or I'd imagine it being painful if you fell with this in your hand. Overall a solid five star flashlight that now lives in one of my go bags.

    Well made and bright

The Nitecore MT1C Pro EDC Flashlight is a very well-made small 1000 lumen flashlight. It comes with a rechargable battery, wrist lanyard, extra O ring, warranty card, and information booklet. The battery can be removed by unscrewing the front part of the flashlight. Battery must be charged directly using a USB cable - no charger is required. This flashlight has minimal features and I like that there are no unnecessary light modes that you have to click through, such as strobe mode. This light has a high, low, and off. Perfect. The only issue that I have with this light is that changing the mode between high and low is more complex and time consuming than it could be. Rather than an on-off-half press type of sequence, a more straightforward option would have been one full (click) press for high, two quick full (click) presses for low.

    Tiny Yet Powerful

This is a surprisingly powerful little light. Our driveway is 350' long and this was lighting up the trees down at the road when I was standing on the porch. It only weighs 2.8 oz with the included rechargeable battery inside (verified with my accurate scale). I like that there is an option to use a CR123 battery instead of the rechargeable. It's not a common battery, but we happen to have some because my husband's weather station uses them. Because it's so lightweight, this is great for carrying around for an emergency, or when you need a brilliant but short period of light. It's too small to hold comfortably for long, especially since the head gets warm pretty quickly. That's okay for our purposes. We have flashlights on our nightstands and around the house so they're handy. We use them for everything from finding cat barf in the middle of the night to seeing if that splash in the pond was a mink or something harmless. Build quality from what I can see is comparable to our Fenix flashlights, but time will tell how long it lasts. I'm not expecting any issues though. The only thing I don't care for is they way brightness levels are switched. It wasn't intuitive and I had to watch the video to figure it out. Overall, for some uses this is a 4 and others a 5. It works well for us, so I'm giving it a 5.

    No-frills "tactical" 18350 light

So this light does everything right for what it is. It is a no-frills, forward-clicky, high>low, tactical light. The switch is excellent and recessed with very good action. The clip is solid and captive. The beam is good - quite throwy for the size. It is of course ~70 CRI and quite green on low. But this is a tactical light - if you want something else this isn't just the wrong light for you, it's the wrong *kind* of light. I own its larger brother as well ("2" instead of "1") and they're essentially identical (and identically well done) besides the different battery size.

    Good compact bright light

:edit inside of colon direct purchase from nitecore website:This is the first nitecore light I have purchased. Today was the first day I used the light while working. I can say it is a good bright compact light with a good throw not much loss from the eye. When used in comparison to other brand lights I own streamlight surefire olight and night stick this little light performed very well. I used it to illuminate my yard at the fence line and operate all lights on a low and high setting for comparison if they have that option. Only light I have that was able to throw a beam has well was the Olight M2r warrior (discontinued). All lights tested range between 600 and 1500 lumen. My protac hl-x and 90x being 1k lumen just has the Mt1C pro. I ran my halogen and led strion and stinger. A surefire G2X. Olight Baton 3. Nightstick don't remember the model. This light was able to hold it's own in comparison. Not sure how durable it is has I have not had time to put it through more torture but it seems to do has well as or better than my standard duty lights. I enjoy the multifuel light option has in a jam I can use other sources of power and not just the rechargeable battery. I will put it through more tests and see what quirks this has before I trust it has a duty light choice. But so far the little light can. I would not hesitate to purchase if you live in a suburban area when out walking dogs or toss it in your bag or car when you out and about. It does cut the ambient light out in my area, in a heavily populated suburban area trying to be a city. Light has a very well defined center and a slight flooding of the area. Not sure of the terminology but it illuminates well enough to see the area of interest and the surrounding area. The pictures are the nitecore high and low vs streamligh hl-x high and low in my backyard facing a wooded area.
