- Nancy S2024-06-13Smaller than expected
These bulbs are smaller than expected but work well. They have the small bases, similar to an old fashioned Christmas bulb size. Their smart nature makes them easy to use and control via your cell phone, etc. I may order similar ones in a large size for use in the wall sconces by our front door.

I ordered this set of Avatar 5W LED Smart Bulbs to use in the bathroom vanity mirror. I am more than pleased. Setup was super easy. I used the Tuya Smart Home app, as I have other bulbs organized on it. When the bulbs flash they are ready to pair, and the app detected them easily. Like other LED smart bulbs, they have a range of color, as well as warm or cold white light. I adjusted the bulbs to warm light, which is a pleasant hue for the bathroom, and compared them to an old incandescent bulb I replaced. As pictured, the Avatar LED bulbs are in fact a nicer color than the old-fashioned bulbs. I expect them to last longer without burning out as well. No complaints : )

These bulbs are pretty much the same as almost all of the other similar bulbs I've tried. They work as described and I have no complaints. Only reason i gave 4 stars is because there wasn't anything new or special about them

These bulbs work great. All of my lights have been Tapo/Kasa so far, but they don't make a bulb with the candelabra base, so I ordered these to go into my bedroom ceiling fan. The added to the same SmartLife app I use for a few smart door locks quickly and easily, and were easily added to both my Google Home and Alexa accounts to be controlled with their smart screen devices. The bulbs are bright, colors are adjustable, and they can be dimmed by app or voice conrol.
- Davide2024-06-21Smaller E12 (12mm) socket size NOT A15 (standard) as listed.
These smart LED bulb are for E12 (12mm diameter) bulb sockets. I don't know why the vendor Avatar Controls uses the A15 size selection and in the description. I decided to use these bulbs for my porch lights with E12 bulb sockets. Easily paired using Alexa but functionality highly dependent upon strength of user's Wi-Fi network. Doesn't fit in with my k.i.s.s. principle. These E12 bulbs also fit my chandeliers but I need 8 to replace. I also don't see the need for multiple smart LED bulbs in one light fixture.

The Avatar Controls 4 Pack E12 Smart LED Light Bulbs are decent but not without flaws. While the color-changing feature and music sync are fun and add a nice ambiance, the brightness is a bit underwhelming at 610LM. Setup with Alexa was straightforward, but I experienced occasional connectivity issues. The 2700-6500K range offers good color temperature options, but I wish the bulbs were brighter for more practical lighting needs. Overall, these bulbs are okay for decorative purposes, but they fall short in terms of brightness and reliability.
- Andrew Rhine2024-07-11Easy to use. Bright. Very responsive.
I am using these in the bedroom ceiling fan which takes 3 E12 socket sized bulbs. They are replacing the standard LED filament smart bulbs that I had installed, those had issues staying connected and they weren’t quite bright enough plus I wanted the ability to change the color. These bulbs seem well made. The set up for these is pretty standard and straightforward. You will need to download the app and scan and detect the bulbs there first. That process was pretty easy and painless and it detected the bulbs without any issue. Next, you will link the skill to Alexa and once it finds the bulbs in the alexa app you can start controlling these bulbs by voice and you really don’t need the app anymore. Most of this will be pretty familiar if you’ve set up Smart bulbs before. If you’re setting up multiple bulbs and fixture similar to my setup, I found it best to create a group in the Alexa app and name it something like ceiling fan and then add the individual bulbs to it so that so when you say it turn off ceiling fan, it turns off the entire group. The brightness of these bulbs is excellent and the colors look good. I like that you can change the tone of the white light for example from warm white to cool white etc. These also dim very well via Alexa without any flickering. So far these bulbs are performing very well. They are very responsive and I haven’t had any issues with them disconnecting from the Wi-Fi. This is a good value for a 4 pack of well performing bulbs. I recommend.
- Anteater2024-07-10They work pretty well.
I have been playing and learning lights around the house and these are my most recent addition. I wanted my porch light to match my garage lights with holiday options. I have this grand plan that I can make all my outdoor lights work together to make different holiday scenes. I was able to connect these AvatarControls light bulbs to my Smart Home system after a little work. First thing I learned about all the LED color changing lights is that none seem to match the old string light color. You can ask for "Soft White" or "Incandescent White", but they are never the same. They always seem a bit brighter. These are the same, but you can request that the light be dimmed and get close. When I asked the system to make the lights orange, where I was sitting, inside at an angle, it looked orange. My kids went outside and said they looked green. I cannot figure this out, but we have noticed this anomaly with other LED bulbs and strings. It seems most common when I use these lights with Smart Home systems. When connected to the Smart Home you can still access the App, but it is hard to find the color options settings. You do have more choices. The App is ok, I am not super impressed. I really want to try to make these look like candles and I cannot seem to get that look.
- Scott2024-06-21Vivid colors, pretty good app. Took a bit to set up.
I got these for my dining room, and they fit the normal candelabra base sockets. The instructions that came with the bulbs were very basic, and instructed you to download their app (which you should do first), then turn on the lights. What they don't tell you is that you should probably install one bulb at a time, because it does take a little bit to pair each device. Once I got all of them paired by turning them off and on in-between each bulb pairing, I was able to pretty easily set up my home in their app, add devices, and begin playing with different settings. They have a few pre-set scenes, some of which cycle through certain colors. And controlling the specific colors and brightness was also really easy. The next thing I wanted to do was set up a group so I could control all 4 lightbulbs at once, rather than one at a time. Doing this took a bit of searching on their website, and it wasn't too difficult. To set up a group of bulbs to control, go to one of the bulbs and click on the edit symbol in the upper right corner. Toward the bottom, select "Create Group" and from there, you can add the individual bulbs and rename the group to whatever you'd like. These lights can also be controlled by Alexa, Google, and Siri, and they have the option to sync with music if you want a dance party during dinner. Overall, the setup wasn't the easiest or most intuitive, but it also wasn't bad. It would be nice if there were some preset scenes of standard lightbulb settings like "soft white", "cool white", and "daylight".

Tried several times to get them to connect and they will not.
