This thing is great when working alone to mount pictures and shelves. No more crooked TVs!! I set this thing up on a tripod and it is perfectly leveled every time. For someone who had to download a leveling app on his phone, this is a major upgrade.

Laser Level Self-Leveling, Elikliv 197 FT Green Cross Line Laser Tool Unboxing: Comes in a zippered hard case that's easy to open/close and has plenty of room to hold the unit, magnetic mount and loose batteries without being like a puzzle to put back in. The angle up/down of the mount can be adjusted and it has two holes for attaching with screws, can just sit alone or attached to a metal surface via the magnets. The manual is pretty clear and simple for all of the operations of the level; on/off, brightness, pulse mode and how to lock/unlock for the automatic level for horizontal lines (I haven't tested the auto-level yet for accuracy). I used it for installing grid beams in a large open room (32' x 24') in the house and it worked fine to establish the layout lines across the entire room. I only needed to make a mark on each end of the room, set the laser on the floor and line it up with both marks to have a perfect line the entire run. Note: use the bracket to angle the unit up to get full, wall to wall coverage of the line. This is especially handy when working alone and doesn't make a mess line a standard chalk line does. It also allows for easy adjustments, as I saw that one electrical box for track lighting was a little outside of where the beam would be and I was able to move the line over an inch so it would line up perfectly. For a project that took 8 hours from start to finish, this laser line tool shaved about two hours off versus using a conventional chalk line. Instead of needing to measure, going up/down the ladders multiple times, installing a screw to hold the end of the chalk line, spool it out, snap the line, back down the ladder, reel the line back in, etc. and have to repeat that about 20 times... big time-saver and a lot less hassle. It already paid for itself with the one job, but I have many other jobs coming up where it will be very useful. Installing cabinets, wainscoting, coffered ceiling/duct chase, and wood floors. It does require two AA batteries (included), but I actually prefer that because I'd rather remove them if the laser will be stored for a while and I'll know I have a fresh set ready to go when needed instead of realizing it needs to be charged right before I am ready to use it. Compared to other, similar laser levels I looked at, this one was the best value with the same features and specs. It was also shipped and received fast if you have a job coming up and need it right away. Pictures for reference shows the brightness and sharpness of the laser at 32' from the unit.

I have used this alongside a Bosch and a DeWalt version of basically the same device. Other than some minor details this item worked just as well at a fraction of the price of those expensive brands. I did feel like there could have been some enhancements to make it more usable in construction, but it is a more than adequate device for use where you don't want to risk your pricier options. Quick to level and the laser is a nice bright green.

This laser level works perfectly fine... If you're working from a mostly level surface to begin with. There's no built in manual level adjustment, so you'll need to shim it while trying to using it on a flat surface that's not already within a few degrees of level. This isn't much of an issue when used with a tripod or the included magnetic mount, but can limit usefulness when setting it on a not-so-level flat surface. The reason I mention this is the other laser level I use has a bracket/holder with thumb screws for gross adjustments to get you within automatic leveling tolerance while using it on suboptimal surfaces. Other than that, it does exactly what's claimed.

My first laser level was a small button cell powered device that had a built in bubble level to find its zero, crude but it worked. I won't be having that issue with the ELIKLIV laser level because of its Auto Self Leveling Mode. This feature is new to me but I like it as it removes the guesswork for those of us who only occasionally use a laser level. Yet there are times where its manual mode will be preferred and this level has that dual mode option. A pulse mode is also available but I didn't test it, as it requires a laser receiver (not included) Two double AA batteries are included, which according to the info sheet should provide five hours of use (not verified). I generally remove the batteries for those devices that I only occasionally use. A semi hard case is included to protect your investment. The case is capable of housing both the laser level and mount. The green laser itself has nice clean lines. Some people have a preference for red lasers, while I don’t see much difference myself. The body is made of plastic that does not have a cheap feel to it. It seems robust enough to withstand normal use. You will hear a noise then handling the laser level like something is loose inside. I’m guessing it’s related to its auto leveling feature, so treat it with care. A tripod mount can be found in the base of the transmitter. Or if you prefer you can use its magnetic mount. Magnetically mounted devices make me nervous, as I had a few bad experiences in the past. So I was a little apprehensive about the supplied magnetic mount. Yet I found the magnets that hold the mount to be very strong. The instructions sheet provides the necessary information needed to get you started. The print is a little small for my aging eyes but it's doable. The price of laser levels is affordable, manufacturers are plentiful and there's models to meet the needs of newbies and professionals. ELIKLIV is offering an affordable laser level that should meet the needs of weekend warriors to those with greater needs. I found it worked as advertised. Its construction is more than adequate for the job and if nothing else it keeps our cat occupied.

A lot more reasonably priced than the blue box alternative. The level feels solidly constructed. The mount not so much, but it's actually pretty sturdy and holds its position well. The lasers are bright and easy to see but I haven't had to use them beyond 20 feet yet. The autoleveling and brightness controls are easy to use. Comes with a nice hard shell cloth coated case that fits everything. The instructions are a little hard to read and are obviously just a booklet cropped to fit a regular 8.5x11 sheet of paper, but other than that nothing is too weird here.
- Tanner Mierl2024-06-20Super clear and straight lines
This tool is great!! I have a tripod stand to put this on (otherwise it's difficult to get the right height/angle to put your line). Once you have it set up it's such a great guide for keeping your work straight, or having an easy mark where the midline of a room is! The laser is very bright (do not look directly at it!) and will show up even in a brightly lit room. Highly recommend adding this to your toolset if you don't already have it. One recommendation to improve the product would be to have the device be rechargeable rather than running on disposable batteries!

Elikliv Self-Leveling Laser Level, Green Cross Line Laser Tool, Pulse Mode, IP54 Waterproof I really like the build quality of this laser level from Elikliv. It’s great how compact this laser level is. Compact, yet powerful and extremely useful. This device is as good or better than similar laser levels that are more expensive. I like that you have the option of using the magnetic bracket or mounting it to any standard tripod. Simple to use and very handy to have around the house or in the tool box. Especially useful for tile-work and construction around the house. The is a terrific affordable option if you're in need of an excellent self-leveling laser level.

Hanging multiple picture frames and keeping them align is a frustrating job for me, especially if they are spread apart. I don't have a long enough level or ruler for precise measurements. So I got this laser level to simplify my tasks. The product comes with a manual printed on a single sheet of paper. Reading it is harder than an eye test chart. And it's not very well written, so it requires you to spend some time figuring out what it is it's saying. For example, it mentions pushing the power button to turn on. So far so good. According to the manual, it is also the off button, but pushing doesn't turn off the unit. Through some trial and error, and more trial and error, I found that you have to slide the auto/manual leveling switch to the 'lock' position. Makes no sense at all. The manual also mentions a mode indicator, which just doesn't exist on this thing. Then I realize the mode indicator is the green laser lines themselves. Ugh. The green laser lines are about 3mm wide, which for my purposes, is fine. In auto leveling mode, the unit needs to be within 3 degrees of being level for the auto feature to work. Seems kind of restrictive, but for hanging picture frames, it's fine. After placing the unit where you want it, it'll take a few seconds for the laser lines to stabilize. You'll want to put it on a solid support. Bump it a little, the lines with wobble, and you'll need to wait again. So simple applications and infrequent usage, this product should work well. The case is nice, compact, and semi-rigid.
- Jeff2024-06-16Good laser level with extras
This is a good green light laser level that is fairly easy to use and comes with a few extras to make the job easier. The unit appears to be of good quality and I like the small form factor that easily stores in the provided pouch. The light is reasonably bright when used inside with normal room brightness which makes hitting your mark easier. The unit has a self-leveling mode of only 3 degrees so you have to make sure where you mount/sit it is pretty much level and it does seem to be accurate when compared to a standard level.
