    Upgrade for the bathroom

Alexa, turn the bathroom lights on! Nothing better than controlling things with your voice, and these bulbs are great: they connected to the app, they are responsive, the light quantity is great, 100% a great product. A+

Perfect Smart Lighting Solution for Vanity Mirrors

Firstly, the color temperature of 4000K provides the ideal natural white light for my makeup sessions, ensuring accurate color rendering with CRIโ‰ฅ95. Whether it's everyday makeup or special occasions, the illumination is perfect, and the no-flicker, low blue light design reduces eye strain significantly. The ability to adjust brightness from 1% to 100% is incredibly useful, allowing me to customize the lighting to suit any task or mood. I love the 16 million color options and 25 dynamic modes, which add a fun and dynamic element to my bathroom space. The exclusive Music Mode syncs the lights with my favorite tunes, creating a vibrant ambiance that enhances any party or relaxation session. Setting up these bulbs with Alexa was straightforward using the BRmesh App, and now I can control them effortlessly with voice commands. From dimming the lights to changing colors, everything is just a voice command away, making my daily routine more convenient. The build quality is excellent, and the bulbs are designed to last with a 2-year warranty and 90-day money-back guarantee for peace of mind.

Missing some features described in product listing, but overall does the job

Bought these for a vanity in the master bedroom's en suite bathroom. I needed exactly six bulbs for the fixture and wanted to replace the mix of similar-sized incandescent globe and cheap standard sized LED bulbs I had installed. I wasn't crazy about the color temperature (4000K) for a directly connected bath area as we prefer warmer light in the evening when we are mostly home, but the listing promised selectable color temperatures in Alexa app. Manual and required "BRMesh" app clearly let you know this is a "Made in China" product from an overseas reseller, but were nevertheless understandable and usable, and in a short time I had all 6 bulbs connected to BRmesh and paired with our household's Alexa system. Voice control from Alexa via Echo devices works as expected, and I was able to create routines for red, low-brightness lighting for when I come to bed after my partner, as well our preferred standard light at 75% brightness. I have not tired any of the "Dynamic Modes" like Music Mode. Product listing is clear the devices don't support electrical dimmers, and that's to be expected on color-changing bulbs with Bluetooth and app controls. My biggest disappointment (minus one star) was because in spite of product listing and Alexa interface showing the bulbs support multiple color temperatures, none of those settings actually change the light output. I tested it at 100%, 75%, and 50% brightness - the Alexa control shows it is switched from Warm, through Natural, to Cool, but color temperature doesn't shift. I would have preferred something warm (2700K or similar) as an option, and expected that capability, but don't have it. The default color is not horribly cool, and I can switch to red to prevent blue-light induced effects before bedtime, but I really expected the product listing to be accurate, and it was not, at least as of the time of purchase and the time I am doing this review. One other negative is that sometimes the bulbs don't all get the configuration changes from Alexa. I don't know if this would also be the case from BRmesh app, but suspect it has something to do with the distance from the Echo devices. It is random whether it happens or not, and generally works. When this problem happens, it only seems to affect one bulb, but without any consistency. In defense of the vendor, I have not attempted to contact support, because I just rerun the command and it always works. If you are OK with these limitations, and need 6 bulbs, and don't need dimmer compatibility outside of app-based controls for brightness, and the price is competitive when you want to purchase, these would probably be a fine choice.

    Awesomesauce!

I got these for my daughters room. She loves the variety of colors and "vibes" she can set. Mom loves that she can use the lights via the alexa app (though it was frustrating to set up) to to wake up her grumpy teen with flashing color changes that cannot be ignored!! LOL! As others have stated there is only 1 white and it is not as bright as the other plain leds we replaced, it is adequate. Note* if you have a dimmer switch these will not work!

    Spotty Quality

I have these synced for commands with Alexa, but I keep having issues with them holding settings when I turn them off (I do not turn off power to them) which is really frustrating not knowing what color they'll be when they turn on. I have 5 in a single fixture, and it's really noticeable when 2 lights are completely different from the others. The other thing I've noticed is some variation in color/ brightness from lamp to lamp, even if I set them all the exact same way. I will give the app a little credit for having more precise controls than most others in the space, which I REALLY appreciate as someone who works with lighting professionally. The app U/I isn't anything spectacular otherwise, and connecting the lights to Alexa wasn't the most intuitive thing- plus the names don't transfer from the app to Alexa.

    Sent the Vanity to School

These smart vanity globe lights were easy to connect and control. It's pretty cool to be able to fine tune colors and brightness in the bathroom. The only issue I had that if the wall switch gets toggled for more than a few seconds, the whole lot of lights needed to be set up again. Now, that very well could be user error. I haven't spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to keep that from happening, and it is an issue with other smart bulbs which is why we hadn't tried them in the bath in quite some time. I can tell you that the bulbs are bright and the app was intuitive. We keep Alexa out of the bathroom, so we didn't attempt any hub control features, so I can't report on that. All in all I found this to be a great value pack of smart bulbs and if our light switch weren't so prominently displayed on the wall, would be great for our vanity.

A little finnicky at first, but they look and work great

I'm slowly becoming a fan of smart bulbs, but I feel some of these cheaper brands need a little tweaking so they connect better. Overall these have worked great with a little patience. They're bright, vibrant, and have a standard bulb base that can be used in most typical lighting fixtures. The price for the quantity isn't half bad either since most I've seen only give you a few bulbs for about the same cost. All in all, these are worth it if you want to enhance your lighting situation and add some custom illumination to your room.

    Works

These lights are colored and controlled by wifi, but they're also not the most fully featured. For one, they are dimmable only when software controlled not with a dimmer switch. Next up, the app to control them is pretty bare bones, and even some of the default colors it has on the screen do not work, they just caused the lights to turn off. The next page, with preset modes is pretty lackluster. Just flashing through different colors. Overall they do what's listed: app and alexa controlled, with tons of color options, but it's not of the highest quality. An amazing deal though! If you just want alexa controlled colored lights these are perfect, but you do get less bells and whistles than the lights that cost 5x more.

Pretty easy to set up & use; app is a little clunky

I have been on the lookout for a decent set of LED color-changing bulbs for a while now. I ran across these from ILC and decided to give them a shot. The setup of the bulbs was pretty easy. All I needed to do was download the "BRmesh" app, turn the light bulbs on, and walk through a brief pairing process. I had no issues getting the two bulbs I tested added to the app. I have not tried adding them to Alexa for voice control, but it looks like that might be the only smart home integration these bulbs have. I am not seeing anything in the documentation about adding them to Google Home, my preferred ecosystem. Controlling the lights within the app is simple enough. You can quickly switch through a few preset light colors, use the color wheel to pick your own combos, dim or brighten the bulbs, or turn them off. The controls are all simple enough and you can even group bulbs together and control them as a unit. The controls are also pretty much instantaneous which is nice; I didn't notice any lag at all when making settings changes. While the app is ok for control, everything else is kind of clunky and clumsy. The "scenes" tab doesn't seem to work at all and some of the translations within the app are a little off. All in all, for the price and features I think these are a decent set of bulbs. If you are looking for a set with Google Home integration, these are sadly not going to fit the bill, however.
