    Good alternative Dewalt charger

The DCB105 Replacement Fast Charger is a popular choice for Dewalt users looking for a quick and efficient way to juice up their 20V and 12V lithium batteries. But how does it stack up in the real world? Here's a breakdown of its pros and cons, based on user reviews and available specs: Pros: Blazingly Fast Charging: This charger boasts a 4A output, which can fully charge most 20V batteries in under an hour. That's a significant time saver compared to the standard Dewalt charger. Universal Compatibility: It works with a wide range of Dewalt 12V and 20V lithium batteries, making it a versatile option for any workshop. LED Indicators: Keep tabs on the charging progress with clear LED lights that indicate charging, charged, and potential battery issues like overheating. Compact and Portable: The charger is small and lightweight, making it easy to store and take on the go. Overload Protection: Built-in safeguards protect your batteries from overcharging and overheating, ensuring their longevity. Cons: Potential Compatibility Issues: While it works with most Dewalt batteries, some older models may not be compatible. Double-check your battery model before purchasing. No Wall Mount Option: Unlike the original Dewalt charger, this replacement doesn't have a built-in wall mount, which may be inconvenient for some users. Price: This charger is generally more expensive than the standard Dewalt charger, though the faster charging speed may justify the cost for some. Limited Information: Some users report a lack of detailed information in the manual, making troubleshooting potential issues a bit tricky. Overall: The DCB105 Replacement Fast Charger is a powerful and convenient option for Dewalt users who prioritize quick charging times and wide compatibility. Its compact size and LED indicators add to its user-friendliness. However, the lack of a wall mount, potential compatibility issues, and higher price tag may be dealbreakers for some.

    Works great

This charger works great. I only got the charger and not the battery. I wanted a backup charger and this fit the bill! Neither it, nor the battery get hot.

Dewalt Drill/Driver 20V Battery Charger –a backup for the original one

We have 4 Dewalt hand tools and three 20V Max batteries. This battery charger has helped us many times already, especially when our Son has the original charger at his house or at his work too often. I’m super happy to have this extra Dewalt battery charger. I’ve used it about 5 times and it has worked perfectly. I’m going to nail-it-down inside our garage so that my Son doesn’t take this one also. Crazy & strange that this charger has no name-brand printed on it, but it has a part number: DCB105… Three months later, it is still working.

perfect replacement, fits 12v and 20v batteries as stated

This worked out of the box and charged both my 12v and 20v batteries, both which fit perfectly on the charger. It is a bit larger than the default charge base that came with my Dewalt tools, but not enough to really be obtrusive. I can't find anything I dislike about it. Recommended.

Charges my knockoff Dewalt 6Ah battery.

I have a Bauer drill with an adapter plate for Dewalt batteries, and of course a knockoff battery. I got two of these chargers just to hedge my bets and they both charge the battery. One at home on the bench and one in the toolbox.

Kinda big but works just fine

Ibanti says this charger is compatible with a lot of different DeWalt lithium-ion batteries at nominal voltages of 12V, 14.4V, 18V, and 20V. I don't have all of these, just a couple of 20V batteries with different capacities. I lost track of my original charger not long ago (I'm sure it's around here somewhere!) so when one of the batteries ran down, it seemed expedient to get this charger to use until I find the original one. Once I do, I'll have a spare. This charger seems to work fine. The only downsides are that it's larger than DeWalt's newer 20V chargers and it can't charge their 20V/60V Max Flexvolt batteries, but like most folks I don't have any 60V tools anyway, so that's fine.

A solid replacement battery charger option for 20 volt Dewalt batteries.

The DCB105 Replacement Fast Charger for Dewalt 20V 12V Battery Charger is a solid replacement option for 20 volt Dewalt brand products. I show the DCB105 charger in photos along with my Dewalt DCB112 charger. The DCB105 is a fast charger with an output of 4 amps versus the 2 amps on my Dewalt DCB112 charger. This allows the DCB105 to charge my batteries in a shorter timespan. The power cord for the DCB105 is 18" shorter than the power cord on my Dewalt DCB112. This may prove to be an inconvenience for some people (depending on their workshop setup. The DCB105 has rubber feet which the Dewalt DCB112 does not include. The rubber feet on the DCB105 fall out way to easily (as you can see one missing in my photo). I ended up having to glue the rubber feet into DCB105 before I lost one/all of them. Problem solved. The DCB105 is of a slightly larger overall build versus the Dewalt DCB112. This is a non-issue for my workshop. It does an excellent job at charging my Dewalt cordless tool batteries. I recommend the DCB10 battery charger.

    Fits my batteries!

I have both name brand batteries and after market ones, and this charger was able to handle both kinds. I have 20V batteries for multiple tools, including a radio, that I like to have ready without swapping the battery out if possible. With the multiple aftermarket batteries and now having a few charges, it really makes DIY projects so much easier. It also places my mind at ease when having multiple backup batteries when on the go. Recommend!

Works just like the OEM Charger

This charger charges my 20v 5AH DeWalt battery with no issues at all. It works just like the OEM charger. I do not have any other voltage batteries other then the 20v but it’s nice to know I have a charger for the if I ever get any. This charger is bigger than my OEM charger so it takes up more space. My first issue with this charger is that the rubber feet fell off right out of the box. I noticed one on the floor and when I figured out where it came from, it was the 2nd one to fall out. I tried the other rubber feet and they just drop right out. My 2nd issue is that the LED’s are on the circuit board and the lens for them sits up about 1 ½” inches away from them. You can really read the charge light on an angle. I keep my chargers on a shelf and I can’t really see the status LED unless I pick it up and look downward on it.

    like the factory charger

I needed a second charger for my 20v dewalt batteries, and this was perfect for my needs. It allows me to charge both the 12v as well as the 20v batteries. The charge times are like the original factory chargers, and works fine. The batteries fit well and does not get snagged when installing or removing it in the charger. Great alternative to the factory chargers.
