- San Diego Rich2024-03-13Update: Customer service was slow, but they finally made it right!
Just a quick update to my review: Customer service was slow to respond, but they finally made it right. They sent me a new sensor and battery, and both work perfectly! I am changing my review from 1-star to 5 because I love my Whoop now! Original review: The battery pack will not charge the sensor unless I remove the band - see the attached picture showing that the sensor shows that it is charging, but the percentage of charge keeps dropping until the battery dies. I tried contacting customer service, but trying to resolve the issue with them is beyond frustrating. Customer service replied to my emails just once a day at best, and each time it was from a different agent that clearly did not read the history of troubleshooting already done. The only way I can charge the sensor is to remove the band, which is not the way it's supposed to be used (you're supposed to be able to wear it while it's charging), but customer service seems satisfied with that solution. Count me extremely disappointed.
- Yasser S.2024-02-27Serious problem with sensors accuracy
My whoop tracks sleep pretty well, but as soon as I do any physical activity (as simple as walking) it starts messing up and Heart Rate keeps fluctuating very erratically. I have to keep trying to adjust the band and reposition it so it reads more accurately. With inaccurate physical activity tracking, that's inaccurate Strain logging in, and that's consequently inaccurate stress and recovery measuring. All in all I sadly cannot trust any of the metrics I get out of it. I compared it to my Garmin watch which I wear continuously on my other wrist and it is always quite off by sometimes as much as 20 bpm more (or less) than the Garmin. I did also the exercise on purpose with my Fitbit which I had stopped wearing to use the Whoop and same result: the Whoop is always pretty off by a considerable difference in bpm. I voluntarily did the exercise several times to compare the Fitbit with the Garmin and they are synced like a charm, hardly a couple of bpm difference between them or a second or 2 of delays between them. The Whoop issue is a whole other level! I unfortunately missed the support window of 3 months which I was not aware of until i finally decided I need to get in touch with the seller for a solution... Overall pretty disappointed with my experience, and although I had heard some good opinion about it, there are not much people in KSA that are also wearing one to compare... not sure what I can do anymore about it.

Love my whoop strap. Very insightful on optimizing my fitness goals and everyday life. The only thing I wish they had was a step count added in because I love that statistic and did not know that it was not a metric when I bought my whoop. Everything else is great!

Certainly for certain people, but as a former college athlete, I have enjoyed this keeping up with everything . Great sleep insight and has been a good couple of months so far using it . Great product and glad I got it.
- William Everhart2024-07-09Great for tracking sleep
I’ve tried a bunch of sleep monitors and whoop so far is the best. It always has a report which was not the case with other monitors. I hated waking up in the morning to have my monitor say I never went to sleep. Never happens with my whoop.

So far I have had this whoop for a month, I really do like it. A little disappointed that it doesn’t track the amount of steps you take in a day. I like how it tracks my sleep so I have definitely improved my sleep since having the whoop, which has helped my energy through the day. Helps me prioritize. What work out I’m gonna do each day depending on what my recovery looks like for that day. It fits nicely on my wrist very comfortable to wear all day long. It is waterproof so that’s great.
- David Morris2024-06-29I love it
I know how hard to push on a given day from a combination of quality sleep, exertion, and recovery. I love the data it provides, I think of it more like an overall health guide and it's not a step tracker but it would still be nice if that was included. It removed some of the randomness of trying to stay in good health. Due your research before buying to be sure it's what you want.
- LeMaster Tech2024-01-28Overcomplicated, fails in every key aspect
The cool parts first since credit where credit is due. The whoop is very accurate at analyzing some parameters that other fitness trackers don’t do very well, HOWEVER they place wayyyy too much faith in their “strain” and “recovery” metrics which just in the three months I’ve had the band, have had nothing to do with how hard I’ve actually felt I was working out, nor how good I felt the next day. Additionally, no display whatsoever so it provides no utility even as a watch, and to be honest, maybe steps aren’t the most important metric, but it’s nice to know roughly how active I’ve been in a day and whoop doesn’t provide even that basic information anywhere. This might be a product geared at those really looking to optimize health and fitness in every way, but for what they charge versus what they provide it’s frankly insulting. I’ve never had a Fitbit as bad as this whoop, in fact, I enjoy not wearing any watch or fitness tracker more than the whoop. It’s also practically impossible to cancel, customer service is slow and inefficient, and there’s nothing special about the band itself which you can’t even use if you don’t keep paying the ridiculous subscription cost. Save your money, get a garmin or Fitbit
- Honey132024-07-14Whoop your life!
Was talked to about getting a Whoop over Smart watch. My coach showed me how Whoop really can allow you to see real progress and deficiencies in your life. It’s really helpful for me to know my goals and how my recovery needs are being met. I’m hooked! Only get this if you are serious in knowing what you need.

This fitness band is life-changing. Does an incredible amount of dashboarding and analysis when it comes to fitness and sleep. Has changed many of my bad habits for the better. Bands are also much more reliable than Fitbit, in terms of hardware longevity. The only drawback is that it refuses to track steps at all--which is something most 3rd party health apps still rely on for calorie deductions.
