I love everything about this tumbler. The handle feels great in my hand - very solid, sturdy, and feels extremely comfortable (it has the best feel comparing with other 40 oz tumblers). The lid is amazingly easy to screw on and off with a simple 1/4 turn. I know that some complaint about it's hard to have a good grip while turning due to the thinness of the lid for grip, but I do not find that to be an issue at all. Just make sure that your hand is not greasy or oily to start with. I actually find the lid to be one of the easiest to turn on and off! I love the simple sleek look, which looks a lot smaller or skinnier than other 40 oz tumblers. Even though it looks a lot skinnier than other 40 oz tumblers, it does not compromise on how long the water will stay cold. The lid is actually very thick and provides a vacuum-like seal once screwed on, so do not fill your water all the way up to just below the screw markings or the pressure will push some water out off the straw hole (even though that hole is very tight after inserting the straw). That is the only issue that I discovered. But, that is also a good thing because I know that the seal is great! Water will not leak out no matter how you hold the tumbler, but water will leak out through the top of the open straw unless you have a straw cover. The only thing that I wish this tumbler has is a non-slip rubber bottom like the Corkcicle brand that I own. I know that Simple Modern sells "booties" for their tumblers, but a bootie would compromise on the sleek look, so a hidden rubber bottom would be the best. All in all, I love this 40 0z tumbler!!! It is indeed, one of the best out there! I have three of these: Mickey Mouse Dances ( my favorite of all), Stone Haven Mix, and Lavender Mist (gifted to my sister who loves purple).

Simple Modern 30 oz Tumbler with Handle and Straw Lid I looked at several tumblers including the Stanley and it's various imitators. I bought the Simple Design because it was half the price of the Stanley, I liked the looks better than the Stanley, and the color was unique to this brand/model. This will not keep ice water cold for 24 hours. That's frankly not a consideration as I drink it all before then. Filled with cold water (37ºF) it won't keep an ice cube solid overnight. Who in their right mind would expect it would. I haven't used a Stanley or Yeti, but I'd think just about any other tumbler will need ice to keep liquids cold for 24 hours. I make large ice cubes out of 14 oz Tom Collins glasses. Exposing the glass of ice to room temperature for a few minutes lets me pour the water and huge cube into the s|m and top it with cold or ice water. That will stay very cold for well over 24 hours in 75-85º room temperature. This is better than most of the many 'insulated' tumblers I've accrued, mainly as promotions. The Stanley may well keep water colder longer with less prep. The s|m works well for me. It comes with two plastic straws that have a noticeable taste to them. Anyone who has every used a Camelbak hydration pack would know the taste. I didn't find it a deal breaker but since I already had some glass straws, I decided to use them. If I were going to use the tumbler outdoors I'd go back to the plastic (to avoid breaking the glass) without a quibble. But I can understand how some might object to its taste. Metal straws might be an option. I don't know if they'd impart a taste. Some flatware does, some doesn't. Since they conduct heat, I'm sure there would be *some* negative effect on the temperature of the contents but then I don't use flatware with water. One s|m thing I didn't consider when I purchased it was the 1/4 turn feature of the lid. Due to the large diameter of the lid, the straw is off center allowing it to be placed closer to your mouth. Filling it up I saw that the straw could be placed in four positions relative to the handle — 12. 3, 6 and 9:00. For most of us the 12/6 positions would make it a right or left handed tumbler. Or allow it to be placed on your right or left depending upon convenience. I locate the straw where I want it to end up, then rotate the lid approximately 95º anti-clockwise until it drops into the grooves. A 1/4 turn clockwise and it's sealed tight. This is a feature I use all the time, moving from one room to the next. The style, build quality, performance and bang for the buck all make me happy. This is a solid buy.

I bought the Simple Modern 40 oz Tumbler and have been using it for a while now, so here’s my take on it. I got it because I wanted a big, reliable tumbler to keep my drinks cold or hot for long periods, and this one had great reviews. First off, this tumbler does an amazing job at keeping my water cold all day. I fill it with ice in the morning, and there’s still ice left in the evening. It's equally impressive with hot drinks; my coffee stays hot for hours. The double-wall insulation really works as advertised. The tumbler comes with a handle, which is a nice touch for carrying it around easily. It's sturdy and comfortable to hold, even when it's full. The lid has a snug fit, and there’s a straw option which I use all the time. It’s great for sipping water throughout the day without having to unscrew the lid every time. One thing I noticed is that the tumbler is pretty large, so it doesn’t fit in my car’s cup holder, which is a bit of a downside. But it’s not a deal-breaker for me because I mostly use it at home or work. That's why it's not getting five stars :-) The design is sleek and comes in various colors, which I love. I went with a matte finish, and it looks really stylish. Plus, the exterior doesn’t sweat, so there’s no mess on my desk or in my bag. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It does exactly what I need it to do: keep my drinks at the right temperature for a long time. If you’re looking for a high-capacity tumbler that performs well and looks good, I’d definitely recommend this one.

Carry it almost everywhere. Fits in cup holders nice, keeps drinks cold, nice seal around straw hard to spill, pretty color, handle sturdy easy to carry, held up to many hard drops, lid tight… I could keep going but seriously it’s great. If I need another which I really won’t because it’s held up very nice with daily use for months… but if I want another color or something definitely this brand again.

I loved this from the moment it arrived. Very sturdy. I love the handle. No issues with the lid or straw. Also came with an extra straw. The color is beautiful. A chose the soft green color. Keeps the ice for hours. Drink stays cold! Fits in car cup holder. Great to take on the go. Bonus, I purchased it on prime day and got an awesome deal!!

Better than the Stanley’s and such a good price! I use mine every single day. Ice will last overnight in it. Comes will two straws and will only leak out the straw if it gets tipped over, not the entire hole like on the Stanley. Easy to hold and take everywhere with you. Love the variety of colors. The kids ones are excellent too and don’t leak or spill :)

This is hands down one of the best purchases I’ve made. The cup is durable and sleek. It fits in the cup holder perfectly and keeps whatever beverage you have in it secure. I have experienced no leaks at all! I live in a very hot place and have left the cup in the car while it was 100 plus degrees outside and it will keep my beverage cold for hours. I waited a while to place my review for this product to give it a fair test. I live in Florida and am on the road and in my car every day for work so I needed something large that would fit my cup holder and keep my water cold all day. After doing some research and watching a ton of videos on travel cups/mugs/tumblers this one was my choice and I am definitely not disappointed. I have quite a few brands of insulated water bottles and tumblers. I compared it to my simple human, hydro flask and yetis. It blows them all away. It fits perfectly in my cup holder without being intrusive it is actually lighter then you would expect and I love the color. It keeps my drink ice cold all day sitting in a hot car in the summer and the ice is almost the same size and amount after 8 hours or more. I sometimes leave it in my sunroom overnight which reaches well over 95 degrees most days and there will still be plenty of ice in the cup the next morning. I have not tried this with any hot beverages but I’m confident in saying I don’t think you will be disappointed. The handle is not slipper and feels good in the hand. The cap screws on and fits very tightly. If you remove the straw and turn upside down it does not leak one drop. If the straw is in and you turn it upside down it will leak a bit but not too much. I honestly do not have one bad thing to say. I also want to add that I drink a lot of seltzer water and it keeps my drink fizzy all day also. I highly recommend this cup. It is also very easy to clean. I wash it by hand.

My husband and I purchased these to replace our Stanley cups. So far we love them! The quality of them is fantastic, the smooth lid makes the cup look sleek, the seal is nice and the cup doesn’t leak, keeps ice for a whole day, the handle is sturdy and easy to grip, the cup is lighter and fills up less space because it’s not as round as the Stanley. Our Stanley cups handle broke off completely, they leaked so much, and seemed top heavy in our opinion. If you’re trying to decide between simple modern 40oz cup or a Stanley cup… simple modern 40oz is definitely the way to go!
