My dogs love these treats. The packaging is definitely worth the buy as well. It’s a high quality treat that is versatile: you can use it for training purposes or even as a meal topper. Both my dogs go crazy over them. It is a better treat option for your babies than other dog treats you’ll find at your local supermarkets.
- Amazon Customer2024-08-28Is it half full or half empty?
Neither. The bucket is larger than it needs to be based on its contents. I saw a couple of lesser reviews but thought I'd try it, anyway. My dog seems to like it, but will eat just about anything. It's a bit misleading when you see the size of the bucket and then open it up and realize you didn't get as much as you thought. There are a few pretty large chunks, but also a lot of crumbles that sifted to the bottom. He likes it, I guess that's all that matters.
- Conrad2024-05-19Sourced and made in USA, no added fillers
I have been giving my Labradors these beef liver treats for about a year now and remain quite pleased. I’ve also bought the salmon treats and my girls love them just as much. When shopping for dog treats I’m always very mindful of the source of the product (USA is preferred) and its ingredients. I’ve been very happy with each shipment and my girls love them. You know how some treats can upset you dogs tummy, maybe give them a softer stool for a day or two, or make them a little more gassy? I have not experienced any of that with the beef or salmon treats. Con’s: there really aren’t any. But I will say, the listing says it’s a resealable container. It’s not an airtight container and sometimes the lid doesn’t click into place for me, but I prefer to have my dogs treats in airtight containers, so I do transfer them into my own containers; I have several throughout the house cuz you never know when the girls deserve a special treat! Also, as should be expected, the size of the treats in the container vary from shipment to shipment. Some containers will have a majority of larger pieces with a few handfuls of tiny bits and some containers will have more of the smaller bits than the large. I don’t mind this, as I use the smaller bits as a “sprinkle” on the dry dog food in the morning as a nice wake-me-up to start their day, and I use the bigger bits for actual treats for training and right at bedtime. Now, the salmon ones are always the smaller bits and have never been as big as the beef, so keep that in mind, if you try the salmon. My girls love the taste of both. Very happy with the brand and will continue using for many years.
- Makenzie2024-08-28Great for my picky senior dog
My chihuahua is extremely picky so I’ve mostly stuck to one type of treat her entire life, dried chicken strips. Unfortunately, they’ve become too hard for her to eat as she’s lost several teeth. I wanted a limited ingredient treat since she would be more likely to want it, but soft enough for her to be able to eat. I didn’t know how she’d react to freeze dried treats since I’ve never offered them before. She was unsure for a second, but then she very enthusiastically ate it and begged for more. So I am extremely happy I’ve found something she really likes that she can chew without difficulty. The price is reasonable for the amount that you get. I will definitely be buying more for her.
- Steffee Lynn2024-08-29stewart's salmon treats
My doug has stomach issues with treats & food so someone suggested freeze dried opinions & both my dogs love them there good quality treats there durable easy to break into smaller pieces for my smaller dog and they don't fall apart the case making em easy to use for travel there is a bit of a strong salmon smell but they love it so i can live with that
- Andrew Sigal2024-07-27First order was great, problems with second batch but manufacturer replaced it for me
*** Edit, Stewart was a bit slow to respond, but shipped me a replacement which is fine (product as expected.) Nice to see that they stand behind their product, but deleted one star because of slow response. *** I was using salmon treats from "A Better Treat". My dog walker told me about Stewart's product, which was much cheaper. I tried it and was really happy. Far less expensive, appeared to be basically the same thing and my dog loved it. Moreover, the size of the pieces was larger, which my dog liked. When the tub was empty I ordered another one. This time the contents were broken up into (mostly) tiny pieces which werent effective as treats. In the bottom of the tub was powder and pieces so small that it was basically meal-topper, not treats. The package says that the size of the pieces may vary, but that is ridiculous - clearly defective or damaged in shipping.
- Peg2024-09-08Our dog loves how delicious they are; we love how wholesome they are
Our dog loves, loves, loves these treats. She loves them more than any other substance. She sits and stares at the bowl where we keep them, then stares at us, then stares back at the bowl, hoping she can convince us to give her an extra one. We love how wholesome they are--just pure wild salmon, lots of great nutrition, no preservatives, no additives. We've been buying them for years. When one tub starts getting low, we immediately put in an order for more. Please, Stewart, don't ever discontinue this product!
- juliana romero2024-08-27My dogs leave a puddle of drool for these treats
I have bought these treats multiple times already and for the price I think they are the best ones on the market. Especially because I wanted to get treats that didn't have so many weird ingredients and chemicals in them. This has been amazing for training and even the pickiest of dogs love them. The only complaint I would have is that the sizes of treat range from small to giant but I usually just break them apart. 10/10 get these!!!
- Kathy Delakas2024-07-23Great treats
My two little finicky dogs can’t get enough of these. They are better quality than conventional treats so they r healthy as well as good. My only complaint is that they are a bit pricey.
- mlmabm2024-08-12Great healthy treat for my little dog
My little dog loves these liver treats. When you open the container it doesn’t smell all that great, but she loves the crunchiness of the treat. Downside to the container is that when I received it, there were a lot of little broken pieces all down at the bottom. I’m assuming this happened during shipping. Most of the pieces that are not broken are little pieces about the size of a sugar cube which is a perfect size for my little dog. She loves these treats. One thing I notice outside is that when my little dog has some of these liver treats and she goes outside to pee, there is brown dead grass everywhere she goes. Something in these liver treats kills the grass. Never had that happen before, but noticed it once she started eating these treats. Worth the price.
