- Clark Johnson2023-05-21Good Hub, Great Support. Contact Them Before Returning.
The EZQuest 10-in-1 Hub contains almost all the ports that a thin portable laptop could need, including multiple USB-C and USB-A data ports, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. So far, it has functioned well in most regards. However, initially the HDMI port did not seem to be working, which is where the support comes in. I contacted them at the email address included in the box, and received a prompt response. After several exchanges, I followed their suggestion to try snother monitor, and all of a sudden the problem vanished, even on my original monitor, I have no idea why this worked, but I am pleased that it did, and that no return was necessary. I am impressed with the tech support that EZQuest has put in pkace.
- Burgh Buyer2023-06-21Hdmi does not work unless all the stars are aligned the moon is full and you stand on one foot
All in all works except for the reason I bought it. To hook up to my monitor with hdmi. I bought this based on ratings on several sites although I did not search hdmi or I would have kept looking. I bought because my work was updating our laptops and I needed something for when I work at home to connect my devices- mouse keyboard and monitor. The rollout was delayed or I would have returned right away but I missed the Amazon return timeframe. Finally got the new laptop and got everything hooked up and monitor doesn’t work. After many hours of changing out cords, hooking directly to laptop and trying multiple ways of turning on devices and hooking and unplugging them nothing. Contacted help and they had me try everything again. Even tried hdmi to usb c and nothing. They said I could return and they would replace but haven’t received anything back from them to return it. I kept playing around and finally after unplugging the hdmi turning on the computer and fully logging in then turn on tv then plugging in the hub and before turning on the mouse - plugging in the hdmi then turning the tv to the right setting. In that exact order - it hooked up to my laptop. Yay! So it kind of defeats the purpose of a hub which is plug and play but if you find the right combo it may work for you. Doesn’t have much in the quality of the output. Picture is extremely grainy. But can make it work so…. You may want to try something else if you are looking for good picture through hdmi.

Very handy for your digital tool box if you use your iPad or iPhone in a wide variety of settings.
- Gary M.2023-04-30This is a GREAT hub!
I’ve bought and returned more than a dozen USB-C hubs over the past few years because they didn’t work as advertised e.g. slow data transfer speeds, lower-than-advertised power delivery, poor audio quality (3.5mm audio) or some features simply didn’t work at all (e.g. mic input on 2-in-1 headphone/mic socket and/or HDMI video ports). This EZQuest 10-in-1 hub has finally ended my seemingly never-ending search for a USB-C hub with the features I need that will work with both my MacBook Pro 16” Intel machine, and my iPad Pro 12.9” M1. Note: the hub DOES get very hot when connected to a 100W charger but this is normal for such high-current power delivery. If it’s used without PD or when connected to a charger with considerably lower output (e.g. 45-60W), there’s no noticeable heat. The only feature this hub doesn’t have is a detachable USB-C cable but EZQuest has already told me this is currently in development….and I will be one of their first customers to buy an equivalent hub with a detachable cable. I was very pleasantly surprised to finally find a product that meets all of my needs and I’ll definitely buy EZQuest products in future based on my experience with this hub.
- David D.2021-10-10Great marketing, poor engineering
I was expecting a USB-C hub that worked, instead I got an unusable heating element. Attempted to use with a recent version of the Macbook Pro. Here are the issues: 1) Runs very very hot. Not exactly burns skin hot, but pretty close. More so with the pass-thru power connected. 2) Cannot charge phone at 7.5 watts. Would only supply 2.5 watts on the USB-A charging port. 3) Plugging a USB 3.0 flash drive into the USB-A ports (didn't matter which one) would randomly attach the drive as a USB 2.0 device (at 480Mbit/s!!!). Other times it would attach as a USB 3.0 device. This issue only appears when using the EZQuest hub. Directly connecting the drive to the Macbook Pro works correctly every time. 4) While the EZQuest is advertised as 100 watt pass-thru power, it does in fact reserve 15 watts for itself. So a 100 watt power supply will have just 85 watts delivered to the laptop. Just FYI. 5) Each time I unplug my phone from the EZQuest hub, the hub triggers a bug in MacOS. The bug continuously spews error messages into the console log, which in turn heats up one CPU core, which in turn makes the fans run. The only way to make the error messages stop is to unplug the EZQuest hub from the Macbook Pro, then plug it back in. Plugging the phone directly into the Macbook Pro has no such issues and charges at 12 watts. Other stuff: the ethernet seems to work as it should, with gigabit link connection, and near gigabit throughput. I did not test the SD card reader or the HDMI port. I returned the product and got a full refund from Amazon.

- RadioHunter2024-01-05USB Error's
I had to retun mine for a refund. I bougt it to pair up with my new HP 17-CN3097NR as it has limited ports. The Ethernet port was the most important to me as the HP has NO Ethernet port and is WIFI only. The Ethernet port worked fine, BUT I kept getting an annoying USB-C error over and over. I contacted Tech Supprt and after researching the Laptop it was determined the Hub is incompatable with the HP Laptop. They are great to work with and are issueing a full refund. The unit was of high quality and I was pleased with every aspect of it except the USB errors. We determined it was not worth trying another one as they knew the HP USB-C port has limits. :( I must say though they got the best Tech Support of any company I have dealt with.
- Roger2022-08-13Solved my many USB issues!
I got a MacBook Pro and the lack of USB ports has been a pain in my life. As soon as I received this HUB I tested right away; I got several devices running and charging on the USB ports: USB camera/microphone - these work as normal with no lost of video quality or audio while I also keep my external drive online using the hub! this is a time saver as I keep my work off my MacBook as much as I can. The HDMI port allows me to extent to a larger higher-resolution TV; it makes it easy for me as is a LARGE screen, at benchmark, I did not detect any variation on quality at higher resolutions. I switched my network connection from Wi-Fi to the Ethernet on the HUB, boosting my speed 4x. When I tested the internet speeds thru the ethernet port, the response times were within times prior recorded by my built-in gigabit port. I wish the connecting cable was longer...(I plan to get an extension soon.) I also had to set it sideways to keep it cool, it seem to run hot when most ports are in use. So far all good!
- Per Lundberg2023-03-12Good overall and feels solid with metal case
The product met my needs - 3 USB-A ports and HDMI. In addition to this, it has Ethernet for wired networking, USB-C and memory card reader (seldom used in my case, but why not). The USB-C port can be used for "pass-through" charging which can be convenient. Plug in the power adapter there + all your peripherals and then connect one single cable to the computer. The physical layout of the device is a bit "wrong" for my particular desk setup so I tend to use it up-side-down. It obviously works fine this way as well though. :) All in all, a decent device and worth ordering from overseas even though I could have gotten some other device locally.
